You did a great job with this video! Everything was clear and easy to see. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 These all turned out so pretty and after watching the video, it looks really simple to make. Thx for sharing. Appreciate your time. I let some commercials play just for you! 😂 🌷
This will be perfect for Ethan’s phone and ID card. He hates taking his phone places because of his germaphobe issues so he’s been asking for some kind of bag that he can put it in that is washable. We go to Costco together and lose each other and end up circling around, a bit frustrating 😅. Thanks so much Jean , you saved me having to figure this out 😂 ❤❤❤
Hi Jean! Those are just lovely 🥰🥰 Your phone backing matches the one so well!! Awhile back I was going to get Kam Snaps & the tool to attach them with & never did. Maybe now is the time to get them!! Folks probably need these for Christmas presents😊😊
Dear Jean, what a wonderful tutorial you have shared! They look beautiful and I think I will make one for my granddaughter in Melbourne, Australia, I am sure she would love to have one for her phone. I might make the wallet for myself. Thank you for sharing it, Jean. I am behind watching your videos, catching up though. December is very busy time of the year. Hope you are all well, how is Maxwell? Please give my hugs to Maxwell. Blessings as always from NZ. Thelma ❤❤
Thank you Thelma, I hope your granddaughter loves her new bag! 😊 Maxwell is taking one day at a time. To be honest, he HAS been better in the past, but one day at a time.....Hugs:)
This is a great tutorial Jean and I am already mentally shopping my stash for fabric. I'm in my 70's and still like to walk but my husband and daughter worry that I don't have my phone with me in case of emergencies but it is too big to fit in my pocket. I shall make myself one of these which will be perfect. Hope Ian, Maxwell and all the family are fine; blessings from the Welsh valleys
Thanks, Jean! I am excited about this crossbody bag and wallet! Also, I hope the Trueloves are all doing well. We have our Assembly on the 22nd of this month.
This is a really cute bag. I don't have any dog-leash type clasps, but I have O and D rings, and squares and rectangles. And a bunch of KAM snaps. Sewing a couple rings to the purse, I can attach each strap end with KAM snaps, and add a few snaps on the strap so the length can be adjusted. I live in a tiny town, so that's handier for me than going to the craft store in the next county, or ordering stuff from WAWAK. Especially in winter. Thanks for the tutorial , from a Michigan Troll.
Love the oiver the shoulder bag. I have been using shoulder bags because I use a walker and it's so convienent. Seeing this video reminds me of a project I want to undertake but wonder if you might show us how. In an effort to stay organized as frugally as I can I purchased inexpensive large dishpans from walmart which hold my papercrafting supplies among other itens. It seems like it would be simple to design and sew a cover for them but I don't trust myself, I would imagine it takes elastic along with fabric but I'm hoping you might think about this project. Thank you so much Jean.
Wonderful video, well done!! I really like this project and am excited to see if I can make it. Thanks so much for sharing! I've watched your channel from time to time and have decided to subscribe today.
if you dont mind me asking where did you get that black and white fabric its just so lovely I need some in my life lol.. Also I hope you and your lovely family had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Oh! I was almost getting lost with the pressing. I understood but confused why. Then, just like that, it all made sense. 😅 Geeze, nothing slow about me 😅. Just one of those days. I spent the last 2 days fixing my ex-husband's shirts, just buttons. Then onto a pile of work pants for my soon to be son-in-law. He used E-6000 glue to fix the crotch of 6 pair of pants! Can't fix that! But, reattached a collar to a t-shirt, and fixed a pair of underwear. Then my daughter's costumes. You know the "quilter's don't do...". Well, they know I sewed clothing for my girls. Yay! Your video came up on my tablet just as I finished. This looks so cute. You can dress it up or down, depending on the fabric. A lot of people my daughter's age wear lanyards to carry small wallets for debit cards, credit cards, ID, and electronic keys. Your bags are adorable and fairly easy. Thanks Jean 😊❤
Hi Jean , I’ve made quite a few of the little purses and they’re so cute!!! Just waiting for the poppers to arrive so I can fasten them. I tried making the wallet (6.5 x 24” size) and didn’t get on very well with it. I couldn’t turn it out like the little one 🤭. Any ideas please? I can’t wait to do some of the bags with the straps, they look really lovely Jean and so useful, thanks so much. Love love all your videos, so cozy . You always look so pretty x
Did you turn it at the right place? I really can't 'show' you, but with all the folds you have to turn it so the folds are turned the correct way. I'm sorry you are having a time of it....wish I could help more. Anyway, you'll figure it out, I'm sure:) The bags are fun and easy also, just be careful with the folding and the stitching:) Thanks so much for your kind comments! Hugs!!
I love your little wallets and plan to make some. I've watched your tutorials over and over trying to figure out at what point I could insert a tab with a swivel hook. Could you help me?
Great idea Sandra! However since there are places that SEVERAL seams need to be stitched together, you will need to use a heavier needle and be sure your machine can handle the thickness. I think the cork fabric would make up lovely:) Thanks for taking time to watch me:)
There seems to be a piece missing between 12.27 and 12.32 showing how to finalize wallet. 😢 Jumps straight from turning wallet inside out to starting crossbody. Where can I see that piece please. Tx.
I showed how I put on my snap fixture (to close the wallet) in the previous video (the one showing the process of the simpler wallet). At this point, on this video, I eliminate that step. (SORRY!!) I finish the wallet by attaching a centered snap to both outside flap and then the inside of the wallet. Hope this helps.
Fantastic Jean, thank you so much for sharing these patterns. 👍❤️😊
I am so glad you like it!
Love your video, what a wonderful gift to make. Love seeing you and how you teach.❤😂
Thanks so much! I have fun making these videos, hope you enjoy making it too.
Gorgeous and finished so perfectly. You could also use velcro on the flap so it is adjustable. ideal for travel documents.
Great idea!
Your so talented and a great artist ❤ your cross bags and wallets are amazing ❤
Awww thanks so much! 😊
Thank you! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Super!! Thanks for watching me:)

Thank you for figuring all this out!!! Many blessings! I don't do centimeters either....
well, fabric is sold by the yard.... centimetres confuse me too.🤔
I’m with you on the centimeters!
Wow this is lovely. I'm going to make one. Thank you.
You make things look so manageable 😊

YES!! Sweet idea:)

if you dont mind me asking where did you get that black and white fabric its just so lovely I need some in my life lol.. Also I hope you and your lovely family had a wonderful Thanksgiving
It was from a local fabric store, but i bought it AGES ago...but you can find similar fabric online probably. Thanks so much for watching me:)

Glad you like them! If you watch the video at about 20 minutes 39 seconds, you can see how I attached the tabs into the seam
Hi Ms. Jean: I love this idea and will make lovely gifts. What do you think about vinyl, denim or cork fabric?
Great idea Sandra! However since there are places that SEVERAL seams need to be stitched together, you will need to use a heavier needle and be sure your machine can handle the thickness. I think the cork fabric would make up lovely:) Thanks for taking time to watch me:)
Thank you for sharing this is awesome i love it ❤. What are the dimensions of the finished project? Ty in advance.
7 1/2" tall with flap closed over and 4 1/2" wide. Thanks for taking time to watch me! :)
Great tip on the snap placement! ???WOULD YOU CONSIDER A TUTORIAL FOR A BUSINESS CARD HOLDER???
Thank you! I'll put it on my list:)
