To think it used to just be a 30 minute video once a month with the occasion instant karma or crash compilation. Now its at least one a week that lasts about 25 mins as well as the compilation videos. Goes to show just how high the entitlement is getting and how its all going to 💩 on the roads. Love that more people are getting dashcams too, just wish they would have a police unit watching these and sending out fines. Haha
DCOA made the decision, as well as polled their viewers' opinions, a few years ago to switch from just uploading Monthly Compilations, to also uploading Weekly Compilations, because half of the footage they were already being sent, wasn't making it into the Monthlies. Add to that the increase in Dash Cam ownership leading to even more footage being sent in & we get the Weeklies. It was a natural, necessary step for the Channel.

The ute wouldn’t have been looking in that direction anyway. If you want to be seen you need to understand which way drivers are usually going to look at an intersection. Riding on the road avoids this as that is where drivers are going to be looking.
Just when you think you've seen the dumbest, most inattentive driving these videos prove there are even more than ever. I'm scared to take out my pride and joy out at all these days.
This channel should be an excellent education tool for regular viewers. You should learn alot here from mistakes others make and get an idea of what to look for from bad drivers around us. But it seems all too often dash cam owners who send their videos in have learnt little and aren’t vigilant at all.
Agreed so many people just looking for a accident or to cauae more trouble then needed even if they are in the right, being legally in the right and being a good person are 2 very different things
Trust me, as a motorcycle rider I've been watching DCA for years and have trained my subconscious to expect the unexpected in certain situations. Never accelerate quickly when signal turns green, always stop on edge of a lane, always expect a car to change lane abruptly when there's traffic in one lane and none in next to it. Always give hand signals to rear vehicle when breaking hard. Never drive parallel to any vehicle, have extra gap when there's a ute/trailer with dodgy load in front.....these are some of them.
It's important to remember that the camera isn't the driver's eyes. It's mounted in a significantly different location, and always looking forwards. The driver may be looking elsewhere to plan a turn or lane change, checking the speed, or simply not in the line of sight of the impending disaster.

What a wild ride! It's like reality TV for road warriors-minus the dramatic music!
It's a good thing we live in a country where there is very few police on the streets due to them continuously dealing with local domestic violence and theft . Lot of people here don't deserve to be on our roads. Shameful behaviour.

@shaneadams3600 That was a safe gap. DC had plenty of time to react. Safe space doesn't mean 20 miles of empty road.

13:56 future organ donor... well at least he wears a helmet lol like it can protect you when you crash or fall at 60km/hr
I was just thinking the same thing. To ride at 60km/hr you need a motorcycle licence, helmet and protective gear. Scooters are not registered so have no access to rehab facilities provided by the insurance on your car/bike rego (TAC). Also, when you leave muscle tissue on the road, it doesn't grow back. There wouldn't be much left to scrape off the road at 60km/hr when you're wearing t-shirt and shorts. Injury is guaranteed to be catastrophic
I didn't know scooters could get up to 60kph. That's nuts.

I know! I wonder if it's an international driver? Some countries the rule is stop and let the emergency vehicles manoeuvre. If there was a vehicle in the middle or left lane, they would've not seen her at all, and we'd be watching a very different dashcam footage.
The amount of self restraint some of these DC owners have is amazing
To think it used to just be a 30 minute video once a month with the occasion instant karma or crash compilation. Now its at least one a week that lasts about 25 mins as well as the compilation videos. Goes to show just how high the entitlement is getting and how its all going to 💩 on the roads. Love that more people are getting dashcams too, just wish they would have a police unit watching these and sending out fines. Haha
No, just means more dashcams and awareness,
DCOA made the decision, as well as polled their viewers' opinions, a few years ago to switch from just uploading Monthly Compilations, to also uploading Weekly Compilations, because half of the footage they were already being sent, wasn't making it into the Monthlies.
Add to that the increase in Dash Cam ownership leading to even more footage being sent in & we get the Weeklies.
It was a natural, necessary step for the Channel.
Millions more population these days and zero policing, people know they can get away with anything on the roads…
Except those offences easily detected by a fine-sending machine.
Even cops are like theyve had enough, you guys sort it out yourself, Im outta here... -> current shortage of cops
Police are some of the worst offenders on the road
Old mate at 16:50 was too busy living up to the aggressive ute driver stereotype to realise he's headed the wrong way down a single lane turning lane.
Nah, he knew. He was taking a 'shortcut' so he wouldn't have to drive _all the way_ up to the next intersection & go around the correct way like everyone else.

The heavy trucks don't always have the option of stopping smoothly in time for a yellow light because they are so heavy it takes a long time to speed up and slow down but still yeah I've seen some super lazy ones yeah some don't have standards

The ute wouldn’t have been looking in that direction anyway. If you want to be seen you need to understand which way drivers are usually going to look at an intersection. Riding on the road avoids this as that is where drivers are going to be looking.

@@gurugulab1414you miss the most important item and that is don't speed past every vehicles like the speed limit doesn't apply to you. This will keep a lot of motorcyclist from ending up in hospitals or the morgue.

the balls on the guy at 6:43 to upload this thinking that he wouldn't be viewed as.... rude person (don't want this comment to be auto censored), just let people change lanes, you're not going to die if you're 0.3 seconds late
the Toyota driver was braking already, as the traffic ahead of him was slowing down/stopping for the intersection ahead. I had to re-watch this a few times to get the feel of the traffic. so no the toyota driver didnt have to give way, also the Mitsubishi driver doesn't get right of way just because he indicates. the Mitsu driver was totally in the wrong, its also not the first time he's done this.
@@NenYim I think you're talking about this from a technical point of view, instead of what's just being a jerk on the road
correct, the mitsubishi doesn't have the right, but hanging off the brakes to close the gap so they can't switch lanes is a common tactic of... rude people
put it this way, people driving slow in the right lane is common because changing lane is a hassle because of people like this. So they change super early and hang in the lane, slowing down traffic
I just want you to know that if you're this toyota driver, or if you do what this toyota driver does, you need to stop doing that
