Bikes are a hot commodity, so people steal them, very quickly dismantle them, and rebuild them with other stolen bike parts so they aren't easily recognizable. Then they sell them as soon as possible so there's no evidence left behind. But because everything is done so quickly, they don't tighten the bolts enough, or they don't have the right screw, so they don't put one in, etc, and then the person who bought it has an accident. The more you know 👍
