We have Operation Snap here in the UK and thousands of drivers have received points/fine from cammer uploads, you just send in the 3 minute clip and where it happened and so on and the old bill go to town. There are regular uploads, from police forces, of the results so it does work.

My city banned right turns on red lights, which are legal elsewhere in Michigan. (We drive on the wrong side, so a right turn hugs the curb.) The reason given was for pedestrian safety. The common response was, "but no pedestrians have been hit." True. I spent a year walking across town, 3 km, through the city center, twice a day. Every single time I had to leap for my life at least once. Nimble and quick pedestrians were the _only_ reason the right-turning drivers did not kill someone, just as "defensive driving" is the only reason there is not canage on the roads due to idiots.
He was behind the white car then he went around it and into the intersection. The SUV driver probably saw the white car with it's indicator on, meaning SUV was safe to go. If the motorbike had waited his turn behind the white car, he would have been more visible. Not sure where the legalities lie, but it was a stupid move on the bike's behalf.

My city banned right turns on red lights, which are legal elsewhere in Michigan. (We drive on the wrong side, so a right turn hugs the curb.) The reason given was for pedestrian safety. The common response was, "but no pedestrians have been hit." True. I spent a year walking across town, 3 km, through the city center, twice a day. Every single time I had to leap for my life at least once. Nimble and quick pedestrians were the _only_ reason the right-turning drivers did not kill someone, just as "defensive driving" is the only reason there is not canage on the roads due to idiots.

He was behind the white car then he went around it and into the intersection. The SUV driver probably saw the white car with it's indicator on, meaning SUV was safe to go. If the motorbike had waited his turn behind the white car, he would have been more visible. Not sure where the legalities lie, but it was a stupid move on the bike's behalf.

He's a moron but the Toyota almost killed him because they are an incompetent and blind driver .the Toyota entered the roundabout without giving way to all traffic inside it , they would have been at fault if they crashed

Should you expect a motorbike to go past it on the blind side? You should expect the car at the front of the queue to your right to be the only car to worry about right?
