- Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure Live Video Reaction. Yup I recognized the bass line from Vanilla Ice's - Ice Ice Baby. I'm proud of myself for resisting the urge to whisper along. Another awesome song from Queen and David Bowie. It's always a great experience finding out the original source of the songs you listened to growing up.

Queen & David Bowie - Under Pressure REACTION | That Baseline!
I’M NOT CUTE I’M A BAD MOFO!
Wife is so beautiful without the mask 🥰🥰🥰
That’s the first reason I married her. 2nd reason is she Carries little baggage
@@TooBlunt I'm 49 and married and can't disagree with the need for less baggage lol :) you are absolutely one of my favorite reactors ..and to see someone understand and appreciate the songs of my youth is invigorating !! Keep it up you are doing a huge service.
Thanks for the feedback :) and a lot of it has to do with you guys in the comments. I’ve learned a lot and it’s great hearing from all the POV’s
@@TooBlunt Just gotta say that I LOVE your sense of humor sweetie. LOL
She is way too skinny, no curves at all
I'm a 70 year old woman that lived through Queen in real time. I love your reactions and your appreciation of rock classics. Next time you see a senior, remember we were cooler than you think...lol
Hey 👋 I’m 63 and absolutely appreciate what you say
Halcyon days!!! and I’m still dancing lol 😂
My kids /grandkids been brought up on Queen/Kate Bush/Bowie/Annie Lennox etc
I was a child (15) of the Hacienda Manchester & later the London scene
Not the years in our lives that matter It’s the life in our years!!!
Be great 👍
Nice to meet another queen fan 🇮🇪 I've been one myself for 40 years now
Everything you guys loved in your youth is cool again today! Revel in the fact that you are the original trend setters :)
We definitely had great music.
I am not far behind you age wise. The kids have no clue how cool we were lol.
You are correct. 😊 vanilla Ice was sued, by Queen, for using it without permission. The video you watched is an edit of two different performances. Although, Queen, and Bowie wrote the song, they never performed it together. What we see is Queen in 1986, at wembley stadium, and Bowie performing, with Queen, at a tribute concert, for Freddy in 1992. That was a great show. So many great musicians came to sing, with queen, to honor Freddy.
Wow did not notice that. But that’s a pretty funny story
@@seandobson6221 Really?
From what I can read they settled out of court.
@@nonamenola33 yeah it was in the VH1 documentary about Vanilla Ice
@@seandobson6221 He neither won nor lost. According to the court documents it was "settled out of court."
According to VH1 documentary of Vanilla Ice story, he commented:
"rather than have to pay royalties to Queen every time “Ice Ice Baby” was played or used for commercials, etc, it was cheaper for him to purchase the publishing rights to “Under Pressure” which he claims cost him $4 million at the time and was a great investment. "
Digging online on legal matters, I found:
Vanilla Ice (Robert Van Winkle) owns all the rights to 1981 hit by Queen and David Bowie “Under Pressure”, after buying it from Brian May to avoid a court case.
This means every time someone reacts or clicks to this song, the Ice man gets paid - not Queen.
@@Frostrazor sweet thanks for the update. The show I watched was years ago so I probably forgot. I am getting very old. I’ve come down with CRS all of us old folks get it.
Queen was playing a concert in the Cardiff castle next to the hospital while I was giving birth to my first daughter in 1977 . The nurses opened the windows so we could hear the concert. So my beautiful first child was brought into the world to the sound of Freddie’s voice and the amazing band Queen . It was pure joy . Naomi in the UK
That's lovely - I hope your daughter is also a Queen fan!
He held the note that long because he's Freddie Mercury. All you need to know.
Hear, hear. LISTEN, LISTEN!
💎💜☮️🦋🪔🤴🏻🤵🏼David & Freddie fantastic show 💎☮️🇨🇦 love from Canada !
Pretty certain the high note 'falsetto' before the crescendo ending is Roger Taylor
The studio/sound engineer had something to do with that.
This song always makes me think of my mom. Her 2 favorite singers in one song. R.I.P. to Freddy, David, and my Mom. 3 legends.

Freddie Mercury is arguably the greatest front man in Rock-&-Roll. A deep dive into Queen will bare amazing fruit.
No argument. He was.
Nothing to argue about. Freddie was the best. ☮️
Amazing vocal range.
The best there ever will be
One of the greatest.
“How did he hold it that long?”
That’s Freddie; he had abilities that still hood people in amazement.
John Deacon, the bassist of Queen, is the one responsible for that iconic riff. He was messing around and came up with it. They took a break and then he forgot it. The drummer of Queen, Roger Taylor, thankfully remembered it.
The rest is history.
Yes...you're right
Glad to hear that someone else knows the history.
it was under presser it was just another bite the dust
That's WILD.
You're talking about another one bites the dust. Johnny came up with that riff. I don't know who came up with the Under pressure riff.
Huge backstory behind this song, and how it evolved when Queen and David Bowie were sharing a recording studio. It became a game between Freddie and David - a back and forth for the lyrics. They never sang it together.. the clips in this compilation of David are from his performance (with Annie Lenox) for Freddie’s tribute concert after he died.. it was in 1992 (you should consider watching it.. it’s amazing)!! It’s a great song; you’re correct.. most of Freddie’s later songs had a deep meaning.. and much optimism. Great reaction!!
Wow thanks for the back story, so much happened that I don’t know
Loving your reaction videos to Queen! Speaking of Annie Lennox…you can check out some music by the Eurythmics which she was the lead vocalist and is iconic in her own right 🙏👌
I was there the night when it came about, my friend was the sound engineer - David Richards and his wife Colette
@Velda Filzen I’m sure it was a misstatement, because you said they never sang it together. Yes, they recorded it at Montreaux Studio in Montreaux, Switzerland. They were “creating” some of the lyrics supposedly seperately, but the studio Engineer (Reinheld Mack) saw Bowie peeking and listening to Freddie when it was his turn singing/recording. So, they (Queen) and David Bowie recorded the song at the studio, but never sang it together LIVE. Freddie’s voice was also well rested after touring, plus he wanted to impress Bowie, so he was able to both hit and hold a looong high note, then go even higher!! Beautiful!! 😍
@@jaytucker8834 wow what a fantastic memory that must be
I love reactors who can analyze understand and appreciate the lyrics. You do it beautifully! Im so glad I found your channel!
Thanks for the feedback :) happy to have you watching Carla
@@TooBlunt you have a very wise head on your shoulders - there is hope for your country with people like you Sir,spread your wisdom young man
I'm so glad I found it, too 😎 much love to everyone here
You want to hear a BOWIE duet? Try the Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby! That was my introduction to BOWIE. I'm still as awed now as I was in the 70's when it was performed.
Sorry, but, I hate that duet. I don’t like the Little Drummer Boy song to begin with, and I thought that performance was stiff and uncomfortable. And I’m a huge Bowie fan!
@@lisaspikes4291 Bowie also hated the Drummer Boy song, which is why he improvised with Peace on Earth. Bowie only did it for his mum, who was a big fan of Crosby.
Omg that is absolutely one of my favorites.
This was just such a vibe. Their voices are both so unique and the arrangement. Perfect. Love this one.
You GOTTA check out more David Bowie...."Let's Dance", Fame, Major Tom...SOOOO MANY! He was such an amazing artist!
Early!!!, mars, thin white duke, etc !
Young American, Blue Jeanie, Changes...
I got to see DAVID BOWIE the serious moonlight tour for the let's dance album in 1983 with my dad and younger sister just before my 13 birthday it's still to this day the largest crowd of people in one place at the same time in Aotearoa new zealand 39 years later and our population is twice the size as it was then
Legend. Along with Annie Lennox. I love this stuff. Makes me want to dance around my kitchen.
Starman..... that would be worth a reaction!!
Yes you are hearing the hook for Ice Ice Baby. You get to hear in this song Freddie singing through all 8 of his octaves!
8 octaves? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what planet are you living on ffs, his vocal range was about as wide as 4 octaves.
when i heard ice ice baby, that bass has always been in my head. years after and hearing under pressure i totally forgot about ice ice baby and now its all about freddy and david
That's what every person who knows this bass line should associate it with, only "Under Pressure", not "crap crap baby"
Well, ice ice baby may have made a lot of money, but it all went to queen when they sued vanilla ice for using this base line without permission. So vanilla ice made and lost a yon of money in a short space of time for his disrespect of queen.
"I'm not gonna sing Ice Ice Baby because that would be disrespectful." If only Vanilla Ice had taken the same approach.
Love how you had a handle on analyzing what the song was about even before they got into any lyrics.
This is what happens when two all time greats collaborate, a masterpiece.
Love the depth of thought in your reactions 👍
:) thanks for the feedback
Epic reaction! Intelligent and aware. Don’t know of that was a lyric video. If not...You LISTENED! Those lyrics are indeed, timeless. I am so glad you decided to experience the, “Queen colonoscopy!” (That is hilarious) While I doubt you’ll find any colonoscopy debris, you surely will find a treasure trove of musical gems. There’s a story and history behind every song. If you keep reacting to Queen and other great artists and bands like, ELO, Moody Blues, Linda Ronstadt, Righteous Brothers...I’ll keep watching. ❤️🔥
Agreed. Righteous Brothers. Yes. "You've Lost That Loving Feeling " all time great. I'd also like to see this guy's reaction to Meatloaf "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". That would be epic. 😂
Well then, I’ll be expanding my exploration. Thanks for the suggestions guys
@@TooBlunt Meatloaf "paradise by the dashboard lights' ... this one you will appreciate as you are trying to get past the "what the hell is going on feeling" 🤣🤣🤣 I will look forward to that song 🎵
@@CrashCourseFarm It'd be so great 😂
This is two different performances put together...Queen and Freddie is from their Wembley performance, Queen with David Bowie is from the FREDDIE MERCURY TRIBUTE CONCERT....however Queen and David Bowie did record the song together in the studio, John Deacon the bassist came up with that bass line and yes VI stole it
I can watch your reactions all day, you put a smile on my face. Can't wait to see more Queen reactions from you,
Thank you👑❣️🎶
:) happy you enjoyed . The music is great so there will be more
It's easy to see why the lady said 'I love you', you seem to be a man with a lovable personality. As a 70 year old man, I can also easily say 'I love you'; I love your outlook on life and your messages to your followers
Young man, you are a breath of fresh air! I am binge watching your Queen videos, because I know Freddie is watching you watch him and he's smiling! But imagine the pressure he was under. I'm so glad to know you are a Queen addict!!! And I love you!
David Bowie is a legend. He sang Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby, beautiful.
Always go live with Queen. They're able to do their artistry and exceptional talent in all their glory. Fun to watch, listen and entertained.
You have to watch Freddie sing Don't stop me now. The lyrics are fantastic and it's very energetic beat, tons of fun
I lived through the days of Queen, we had so many great bands in the UK then, and, unfortunately, I took them for granted. With the help of RUclips, I can now relive those times all over again. Thank you for your comments, we were blessed.🌹🌹UK.
This was the best collaboration song with Queen & David Bowie. The vocals on here between Freddie and Bowie were awesome and it was almost a duel of the high notes with them. But the message in this song is usually overshadowed by the catchy beat and the instruments. Great reaction video!
“Colonoscopy of Queen” 😂 Always enjoy your videos. You seem so cool. Queen is one of the best bands of all time. They had the technical talent & vision/heart and created their own style. Their music is so unique and it somehow still sounds fresh today.
Freddie started the note and Roger took it over and extended it, so professional.
Great song by 2 of the best ! BTW, you're a very insightful young man. It's refreshing. I'm happy to be in the community !
There are two songs that I think you would really enjoy , Cool Cat where Freddie sings in falsetto (the whole song) & White Queen at Odeon Hammersmith , one of the most passionate performances of Queen (especially Freddie & Brian).
Let’s put those suggestions to the test then :) I’ll check it out
If you are truly new to Queen (re BoRhap reaction), then watch Live Aid 1985 and you will be surprised how many Queen songs you know, just do it, you know it makes sense.
I did and I did recognize 2 songs. That video got blocked. Doing a workaround to get it out this week
@@TooBlunt Excellent, will watch out for it.
20 minutes of Queen at LIVE AID, the band stole the show, Freddie had sore throat and was told not to perform but did anyway
Kathleen....this guy talks too much thru out the song....ruins it
@@michaelasay8587 bro if you want to listen yourself not in here. He did that to avoid copyright
The way i heard it vanilla ice wasn't worried about getting sued because all queen could get was 33%. But queen sued then david bowie sued then zz top sued, each getting 33%...
You saw two vocal legends sing right next to each other. Love that you are giving "old school" music a GOOD listen to!! Keep up the good work
The bass player wrote the bass part and then the rest was a group effort. Freddie Mercury was a trained graphic artist, Roger Taylor, the drummer, dentist, biologist, Brian May, guitarist, astrophysicist, John Deacon, bass player, engineer. Very talented not only in music.
I saw Bowie live fly into the stadium on a jet pack with silver wings. My wife (dying of cancer) saw Queen live in concert. Man. We are so jealous of each other. What do you say... what do you do...
Yes, this is where the bass line came from...V.I. Claimed his line was different (because he added one extra ba-dum)...lost in a court settlement and now queen/bowie gets all residuals to the ice song...
The case was settled out of court, which is why the general public does not know the full details (court cases are public record. private settlements are not). While VI claimed he bought "the song" (later saying he bought Under Pressure), Queen & Bowie camps have long said he did not. VI paid a 1 time, lump sum, for the right to use the bass line for Ice, Ice Baby (meaning VI gets the royalties for it), but he has absolutely no rights or claim to Under Pressure & can not use the bass line in any other song (meaning, Queen & Bowie receive the royalties for "UP").
@@wnsafford1854 he also had to acknowledge Queen and Bowie on the credits of the song - Ice lost big time because he never had real success after that he should never have STOLEN. You must always ask and pay if you want other people's work. This "sample" wording is very offensive when they are using another person's work............it isn't being given out in a supermarket!!
@@bigs1546 Oh yeah, Queen & Bowie got added to the writing credit for Ice, Ice, Baby (again, VI had to make that 1 time payment, so VI gets IIB royalties). While I’m not a fan of sampling, when it’s ok’d by the song owner in advance, it’s not stealing, but VI flat out stole, then lied (& lied & lied). In 2017, after years of claiming he already owned Under Pressure, on The Dan Patrick show VI claimed he'd recently bought UP from Brian May (who doesn’t even own the full rights). When Brian was asked about it, at 1st he thought the interviewer was dragging up VI’s old claim. When he realized it was a new claim, he shook his head, gave a bemused smile & said “He is mistaken.” I think VI’s career could have recovered, IF he'd just stopped lying, but by adding lie upon lie, he gave himself a reputation in the industry as a thief & liar. Not somebody most would do business with.
Thank you for the correct answer. These people on here don't bother to look it up.
Yes, this is such a deep song. Always makes me tear up. It’s sneaky because it sounds so fun & lovely…then it bums you out, but also leaves you sort of hopeful 🤷🏼♀️
Yes you are right about the bass riff which John Deacon (Queen's bass genius!) came up with and Vanilla Ice stole and were sued for it! Please carry on down the Queen rabbit hole x
I am really enjoying your reactions and your willingness to learn and really listen to music from earlier generations. Having grown up in the 60's, life and music all revolved around Peace, Love and Understanding. Very cool story about your encounter in the store. This woman is the epitome loving your fellow man. Thanks for your reaction. Take care and be well. Peace.
Oh, great song! I love seeing you discover new music. In that vein- you should check out some more Bowie (pronounced "Bo-E" like a Bow😉) He is a weird guy, but very talented
Fair play to this guy, I’ve listened to this song for over 20 years and I never noticed the melodic music in the background myself lol
I love watching your reactions! And I remember listening to this song over and over again from 2020, especially right before presidential election. I felt like the whole country was under pressure and about to explode. Especially the lyrics about giving love one more chance.
Thank you for another reaction to Queen. I see you can appreciate how good Queen is. I love your reaction. Keep up the great work.
Yes, John Deacon, Queen's bassist wrote "Under Pressure". Vanilla Ice eventually paid millions for the right to use the music, even though he protested he stole it.
Enjoying your appreciation and enjoyment of Queen’s music! Also, you are very personable and insightful with your reactions. SUBSCRIBED! 😊
It’s nice to see the music from my youth through fresh eyes. Amazing how relevant it is today.
Freddy and David Bowie together is just so damn magical
This is my FAVORITE reaction to this song by far. Even though to me it's rather obvious, I don't see anyone hone in on the meaning the way you did.
I have always LOVED this song. ❤️ Great reaction. Shine on. ✌️
Thanks for sharing the story of the older lady in the store who told you she loved you. It’s great to hear that, although you were surprised by what she said, you told her you loved her too. Jesus told us to love each other - and that includes strangers. Great story! 💕💜💕💜
Bowie was a genius - all throughout the 60's through his last, in 2015.
Wonderful story man; so beautiful to hear people loving each other!
This is my personal favorite song of all-time. It connects us with the message without ignoring our sufferings while also remaining upbeat to give you the energy to face the world and help to heal yourself and others. It's also got the classic Queen sound with Freddie Mercury's amazing vocals and harmony that are so in sync. Just flawless!
Ice tried to steal this bassline and claim it as his own. Queen and David Bowie sued him for about 10 million, allowing him to use that bassline for that song only. VI tried to say he now owned it but that was never true. Anyway, if you are going to try to steal a bassline, stay away from artists like Queen and David Bowie, they are iconic and you are totally going to get busted. John Deacon (bass) wrote the bassline while Queen was in Switzerland at their recording studio. Bowie lived nearby and stopped in to say hey. They started jamming and drinking and Bowie suggested that they write a song together. They started with John's bassline and this is the song that came out of that session. This is a fan made video. Sadly Queen and Bowie never managed to get into the studio to actually do a video. This is Queen at Wembley 1986 and Bowie at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992. They did a great job putting the two together. If you haven't listened to it yet, Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith is an incredible song with a long instrumental section that is unbelievable that it is live. Freddie's vocals in White Queen are so fantastic, I know you will love the performance. I checked your page but didn't see White Queen on your list so hopefully I did not miss it.
Also Fat Bottom Girls and Another One Bites The Dust are both great. They're all really good 😊
To add...They went to lunch and by the time they got back, John forgot how the bass line went but Roger remembered and saved the day!
@@mz.6109 One of our dearest friends, when planning his funeral (stage 4 inoperable cancer) requested all Queen music. His casket disappeared behind the curtains to "Fat Bottomed Girls".
After dear freddie died, they held a tribute concert with many of the top bands playing one Queen song each. David Bowie sang Under Pressure with the wonderful Annie Lennox and at the end, knelt and recited the Lords Prayer. Sooooooooooo moving and worth watching the full concert.
Love David. & my fave Queen songs are Bohemian Rhapsody & Bicycle.
This is so great to watch you discovering the songs of Queen and your reactions. Love your comments on the lyrics.
It’s the best proof for the greatness of this group.
2 days ago, my wife was exiting Publix and encountered an older woman in her early 50's that had her small dog with her. She was looking through her purse and, from her expression, my wife could see the woman was upset and quietly crying. My wife asked the lady what was wrong, and she replied that she didn't have enough money to get her dog food and a couple essential items. My wife proceeded to hand her $40. The woman tried to refuse and, after realizing my wife would not allow her to do so, humbly accepted the money. She thanked my wife repeatedly and asked how she would ever be able to repay her. My wife simply replied, "If you'd like you can repay this by helping someone else in need one day when you're in a position to do so".
We always try to help strangers in need when we're in a position to do so with the only exception being in cases where it would hurt us, not be just an inconvenience. A stranger likely saved my life over 25 years ago that was under no requirement to do so, and they also refused to take anything in return. Since that day I never look down on those in need and will happily sacrifice my own non-essential money, time or resources simply out of kindness and for the possibility that it may change or save someone's life one day.
You've got to also check out David Bowie's (bow - like "bow tie" - eee) huge catalog of music! Some of my faves include: Fame, Let's Dance, Major Tom, Cat People, Suffragette City, Ashes to Ashes, Fashion, China Girl, Modern Love - the list goes on and on. He was a massive talent and so unique. Freddy Mercury and Queen were stellar too, of course!
I've only recently 'found' you. Your reactions are superb - so authentic. I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 and saw Queen live in Bophuthatswana. They were masters of their craft.

Great song, keep up the great work and David bowie (boh-wee) has a lot of great songs as well. Both great and missed artists.
Another song with deep lyrics that apply today as much as back then, is "Innuendo." Anyway, wow. You are probably the most observant, brilliant reactor I've heard for a long time. Your intelligent, deep insights are so refreshing, and you have an amazing speaking voice, lol! Just subscribed, btw, and hit the notification bell. David Bowie and Annie Lennox (Eurythmics) sang this live together at a Queen tribute. She is somebody you gotta listen to also. Crazy good!
Hey Sir I am in my 64th yr in this place. People like you show that the world is going to be okay. Thank you for your honest review. Best of times to you and all those you love
David Bowie 🤩🤩🤩 please cover ‘Heroes’ 🥰 I miss him so much 🥺
Yes, the bass line was the. creation of Queen bassist, John Deacon. He thought of it early in the songwriting process and forgot it when they came back from a break, Fortunately drummer Roger Taylor was able to recall it.
Great reaction! You should check out Innuendo - Queen and White Queen - Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975.
Iconic song one of my faves. I bought this on 7” vinyl in 1981! Still love it
Queen are the best rock band there ever was. Try reacting to David Bowie next. Ziggy Stardust or Space oddity are good ones to start with.
Love that you get it as well as feel it. Love your reactions, man.
He did more than sample it. He tried to claim it as his. Queen sued, he lost.
The song was written after Queen and Bowie ran into each other at a recording studio they had both booked time at. They started talking, Bowie pulled out his most recent version of 'Under Pressure', and they all sat down and rewrote the song. The intro riff was actually written by John Deacon, Queen's bassist, at that meeting of great musical minds. They then went in together to record it, but sadly, never managed to find a time when they could all get together to perform it live.
If I remember correctly, it cost the thief millions he paid to Queen, to get the rights to release the song he put the stolen intro in.
I'm so glad you are enjoying Queen I think they are fabulous. My kids (older adults they are) even enjoy them. John Deacon was the one that started with the rhythm. Just love this. Did you know they ALL had college degrees? Freddie was a graphic artist, he designed their logo & name, think John Deacon was financial, Roger Taylor studied Dentistry, and my favorite Brian May has a doctorate in Astrophysics! Love smart guys. They really practiced alot, Freddie always said....never enough. Enjoy.
The theith also destroyed his career because of his lies as a lot of people (producers, talk show hosts, and musicians) refuse to associate with him after what he did. Now that song is credited to Freddie and Bowie, and all royalty go to charity.
I have just re-watched this reaction of yours… oh my lord I just love how you embrace this… it’s one of my favorites because the message is to give love!!! At the end of the day of all your possessions were stolen from you including your loved ones… what would you keep? I would bet none of your material stuff only your family and friends not your material stuff.. ??
I am truly enjoying your reactions and your comments!

ALSO:
It w/b really GREAT if you could also react to Queen w Freddie's live performance of "Under Pressure" here at Wembley Stadium in 1986. The intro includes Freddie's most famous/probably best "sing and repeat" warm-up with the audience.
(This particular audience interaction by Fred is so iconic, it's been used over the years since then... with Fred STILL conducting audiences from a GIGANTIC onstage video screen. My favorite was at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremonies... SO. COOL!)
I've been a Queen/Bowie fan since their beginnings, so they're not new to me, but you have soooooooo many great suggestions to review, again, that I had to screenshot your comments so I can follow up on them! Thank you. 💞🎶 🎤💞
I'm glad you said "I love you too" to that gram. Love his old-fashioned but we need it rn. Thanks, man.
My favorite story, when they were writing this song, they had a bass line for the song. A few hours later, queen and David Bowie when out for pizza and wine. After they finished, they went to write some more but the bassist, John deacon (my pfp), had a bit to much to drink and forgot the bass line.
Luckily, Roger Taylor the drummer remembered it!
Too bad Johnny has become a somewhat miserable hermit. John and Roger will never acknowledge that out of respect, but the way he totally retracted from public is...well, it's his choice, but he's a total anti-social.
I think he has a fair bit of self-loathing, as every respect autistic person has (me included, asperger syndrome)
I love the fact that you actually pay attention to the song and have some thoughts about it. It makes you videao's worth watching.

I enjoy this mashup of 2 concerts & it's great to hear Bowie too. But for me the Wembley 86 concert version with Freddie's unique crowd control is simply amazing. A must watch.
Just love your reactions to Queen! Let the colonoscopy continue....you should really go back and watch some of their really early stuff to understand that this band was absolutely great right from the start! Very grandiose, over the top, every performance a little bit of theater. They were never afraid to experiment. Live performances always perfect. Liar Live at the Rainbow 1974. Ogre Battle, same concert.
Well I gotta tell ya, your reactions and your analysis of the actual lyrics is great. I've watched a few of these types of things. Yours are by far the best. Queen were my idols growing up. Freddy is still missed by a certain generation. You'll always find something surprising in each song
While you were having a bit of trouble not hearing "Ice Ice Baby", I as an old Rocky Horror Picture Show fan/former shadow caster have trouble not screaming RICE RICE GRAVY!
Btw Bowie is pronounced BO-WEE like the knife.
lol 😂. And thanks for the name correction
@@TooBlunt Americans often pronounce it as Boo-eee, which may be technically correct, but isn't the pronunciation David favored. It rhymes with Chloe, it doesn't rhyme with cowy.

The video with Freddie is from the Live Aid concert. These two singing on the same stage together would have been phenomenal

Learning to act out of love not out of fear.
And definitely spend some quality time exploring the catalogs of both Queen and David Bowie. Two of the most innovative and ever evolving musical influencers in ... well, ever maybe
Check out the song "Cool Cat" not that many react to it, but it's a great song! You're a funny man, I like your reactions! 😎Edit: White Queen 1975 A night at the Odeon, Hammersmith is a must if you love early Queen! 👍
The Queen tribute is very interesting to watch. This video was made for that too. Bowie sang the song, and they made it look like Freddie is singing with him.
What have you done with the rest of your wife?! 😳 Two superstars together on stage, glad we have this to remember them by!
😏 I plead the fifth

The "fun" parts are gone. He must keep those in an undisclosed location.
Hey man, you know the feds are watching 😂 stop exposing the plot

You are a beautiful human being. Both Freddy and David would love you. Love it!
No, he didn’t just sample it…he stole it! Queen and David Bowie sued him and won! I believe they donated the proceeds to a charity. John Deacon wrote that bass riff and deserves all the credit. He was an incredible bassist! Sadly he retired when Freddie died, never to pick up the bass again.
It serves him right for being a thief. Disrespectful to true artists who create their own original music.
Love this reaction. You're clearly very smart, and intuitive. That makes me happy. I'm sure others have already pointed out-and of course maybe you were already aware-that David Bowie (pronounced 'Bow-ee') collaborated on this with Queen, he wasn't part of the band. He's also amazing, and I hope you've given him a listen.
Mercury and Bowie. Magic.
This video is the closest of them singing together, an amazing collaboration
