Hallo Marc, great videos and I really love the series. Had a question to your charging equipment when you are charging at hotels/houses. Do you also carry extension leads, or how long is the main charging cable itself.. 6 metres? And what about adapters for the sockets? Thanks for the info. I have an electric bike myself, a Ray 7.7, much smaller than yours but pretty nippy.
Marc, just a thought, but why don't you get a 12 Volt inverter to 230 volts for the car, then when you are really stuck, you can use it to put 'some' charge into the bike and get you moving again. I imagine you'd need to let the car run to be safe, but in extreme situations, all is reasonable.
As I sit here in the UK with the rain pissing down, watching your latest video is not good for my mood😮 I am so envious keep up the brilliant work. Toot toot 😊
Never mind Steve, we moved over to Tunisia to live 2 yrs ago after having a property for the previous 6yrs. People asked us why and I think the weather and lifestyle here gives a good enough reason and answer😁
Another beautifully shot video. Especially with the drone! I wish we could have seen more of the mountain village, though. Glad that all went well after Maree maneuvered Jimmy out. I was afraid he’d get stuck for a moment! Traffic there seemed calm, although confusing at times, but you made the best of it, even the police stops. And a Dromedary is essentially a one-humped camel with an even number of toes. 👍🏼 Keep up the great work and enjoy your stay at your oasis resort 😊 Ride safe. Ride smart. Have fun!
Thank you so much Marcus and Marie for everything you are so wonderful we were so happy to have you both you were so special we hope to see you back soon💕😊🙃🥰
You'll find the closer to the border with Libya the more check points there is. They increased following the revolutions in both Tunisia and Libya and became more proactive. We prefer to see the police & security services, unlike in the UK where you don't. It's a lot safer here than back in the UK. Also they will be puzzled as to why the bike isn't making any noise because there aren't any big electric bikes here. We've lived here now 2 years and have had our bike here about 18 months and we still get stopped by the police etc just for them to have a look at the bike and in some cases they ask if they can have a sit on it and a photograph. When we tell them we've ridden it from the UK to Tunisia they look surprised as it's nearly 30 years old. You will find that where ever you go in Tunisia everyone you meet is super friendly and helpful, also life is so relaxed here it's amazing.
Thumbs up for Evening Rose Villa. Cool place. 😉 Looking forward to some Chott el Jerid shots from Jimny - 4x4 is the must. You asked about lakes. The word "chott" means "lake" in Arabic and so it is actually Lake Jerid, which used to be part of the Mediterranean Sea in ancient times. Gradually it separated from it, but the salt water continued to be there. The eastern part of the lake is called Chott el Fejaj. In summer, the Chott el Jerid is almost completely dry, and only begins to fill up with the onset of winter. Only rarely, however, is there so much water that the lake can be navigated by boat. This situation occurs about once every 10 years when heavy rains come. When there is no water in the lake, the boats remain preserved in salt for several years.
I've had this thought many times, but you seem very comfortable leaving your camera for some interesting shots. Parking your vehicles in a sketchy area overnight you've been hesitant with, but leaving your camera by roads with cars and people going by... you're braver than me!
Marc, i love your travels. Just be careful if you decide to follow the Jimmy to save battery. Riding too close behind at a fast speed can be dangerous, if Maree has to brake suddenly. Stay safe!
I was super impressed when I followed my buddy really closely (we chatted about it 1st so he knew my intentions) it made a difference. Great video as always!
Yeah absolutely! I would only do it when it gets a bit critical though cause it’s quite risky. Much easier with bigger trucks 🙌🏼 thanks for your support mate 🤗

Now that's the time to send a 'financial thanks' for your marvellous videos. Beautifully shot and edited. Music has become more varied what I appreciate also much. I really love your videos. My favorite are longer ones like this one (5000 km to the Sahare ...), nicely arranged (cutting, music), but only every third day or so. In the days in between I will sit on my own SR/F (same color as yours) and enjoy the ride. However not in Tunisia ... :-)

I would have started this with or without the car but yeah you can take out of my videos whatever you like of course 😊 the only reason for the car is to bring Maree around. She’s not into Motorcycles;) thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
Also, you won't get far with a small charge in the desert of motorcycle batteries. Local villages 200,400 km away to charge the battery. Recently, in an exchange between experienced motorcyclists and experienced motorcyclists, we remembered the big stages in Dakar with a hybrid and electronic engine motorcycle. Those models were built with Self-Charging for thousands of kilometers. In the concept version in the 70s and 90s. But did not allow the exploitation of consumers in the world. At that time, the oil business tycoons pushed the free energy production facilities off the vehicles. The internal combustion business ruled the world. It's good that when traveling with a car, the only option is to charge the motorcycle battery in the desert. The danger in the powdery sand would remain. outside
Nope Maree you can´t sneak into Algeria because you need a Visa before you cross the border and i think until today an Covid Test. You can try to get an Visa in the Consulate in Tunis because it would a shame to miss out places like Constantine, Annaba, Oran or In Salah in the middle of the Sahara when you are at the only Landborder thats open
