    The Asus X16 is the best laptop I've ever had. And I've had Razer Blades, Alienware, Dell XPS amog other premium models. I got the 6900 HS with 3070 Ti. The AMD CPU is honestly required on this product I think. You get great performance on battery with great integrated graphics when disabling the 3070 Ti. Battery life is also great, you can tune the AMD CPU to use very little wattage.

    I got the Z13 with a 4050- gaming performance has been surprisingly good to the point where I would recommend it to someone looking at these machines.

      @theawesomeking5513 Год назад +1

      How good is the performance?

    • @lyteedge
      @lyteedge Год назад +5

      @@theawesomeking5513 Was hoping to get at least 60 FPS at 1080P or 1200P and most games have exceeded my expectations there with high or even max levels of detail in some cases.
      Just initially testing it out and running games at 1080P/1200P resulted in:
      -Elden Ring: Ran at high settings at 60 FPS
      -Wo Long: Ran at mostly high settings at 90-120 FPS
      -Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II: (DLSS performance) 130-140 FPS in multiplayer at 1200P. 120-130 FPS at 1440P.
      -Cyberpunk: (DLSS performance) 80-100 FPS
      -Control: (DLSS) 80-90 FPS
      -Resident Evil 4: Anywhere from 100-140 FPS with the settings on performance. Have seen dips as low as 80 and it may depend on the area.
      -Street Fighter V: 60 FPS at max detail at 1440P
      -KOF XV: 60 FPS at max detail at 1440P
      -Yakuza Like A Dragon: 35-45 on ultra settings at 1440P. 55-60 FPS with the same settings at 1200P.
      -Samurai Warriors 5: 60 FPS on highest settings at 1440P.
      I don't think I'd be as impressed with this on a larger laptop like the X16, but this is really amazing to see on a 13" tablet. We can see from Tech Guy Beau's game performance video that 1600P isn't going to result in the best performance because of that 6GB VRAM limit, but it seems like the 4050 handles games very, very well at lower resolutions around 1080P. I never used a laptop with a 3060, but I assume this is pretty much the same for its levels of performance?

    I think the fact that you can connect an xg mobile with up to an 4090 12vbVRAM is what makes this laptop so unique. You will be able to connect a 50 or even 60 series which is nice for long term usage considering the screen is also quite nice.

    As long as Asus keeps putting the egpu put I'll be happy. I'd like to get the current model with a 4060 and then when that isn't cutting it get a 5xxx series or 6xxx series eGPU from Asus. Also because the screen is glossy and gorgeous compared to other matte gaming laptops. Failing that other 3rd party eGPU solutions will still cut it for a while.

    Have really been enjoying your reviews! I'm looking for a really quiet/cool laptop for real time strategy gaming. This would probably be a good option for me but I hate the fact its got a touchscreen and could be used as a tablet. I have an old 13 inch MacBook Pro I use for work. My gaming laptop won't leave my house. Only reason I want something slim and light is because 90% of the gaming I do in bed. I would be buying this with the 4070 so a lot of what you said doesn't really apply. I just have too much of a hangup with the touch screen/tablet feature for some reason so I'll probably end up moving forward with the Blade 16 with the Mercury Finish.
