Thank you for guiding the black screen part in your video. I almost gone mad looking at black screen after upgrade to 96 gb 5600 and thought what has happened to machine, that is not even working on original 16 back again. Then i had seen your video, waited for 3-5 mins, it worked in 3 minutes😊👍👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars to you…
In case your SSD is overheating, you might have forgot to remove the plastic layer off the thermal pad :) you can use HWmonitor to monitor the ssd temps . the video is not clear enough to see if there is a thin plastic film over it or not , but usually they are there otherwise the thermal pad catches a lot of dust and stuff…
thanks, this looks like a nightmare to do. This is ridiculous it ships with only 8gb ram and expects u to do all this. Laptops used to just be 6 screws....plops open....done.
Thx bro. My old Acer is breaking down. My previous Asus lasted 3x longer. So I'm moving back to Asus and more specifically to this model. I wondered if it could be upgraded and you just answered it here. One question - if you have the time for it. The left SSD contains some kind of heat sink you said, is that needed for the second SSD as well, and if so... where do you get it? Thx !
if its has ram for 4800, but you get the 5600, will it be better for longetivity? I am just wondering because I see different models to buy. Why not just buy the 4800?
Half way into your video I said, He must forgotten a screw. You shouldn’t even need a guitar pick to even remove the bottom cover if you do you forgot a screw. I know I have the 4070 x16 and I removed the bottom cover a couple times and forgot one or two myself 🤣
I was following along to add an SSD to the second slot but it's been over an hour and my laptop won't power on. I disconnected and reconnected the battery correctly But now even the battery charging LED won't light up. Do you know what could have gone wrong?
i seen somebody's comment bought this to played genshin an then he says he got freeze/crazh cz the rog x16 used micron ssd, so is it correct or not? I hope someone help me for this
For anyone wondering, you need a ph0 (not sure actually, ph00 might also work according to some people) screwdriver, for the ssd slot i used a ph1. Some of the screws I accidently damaged because my initial screwdriver seemed to be of bad quality, in the end i bought a precision tool kit from xiaomi and that did the trick
@@blakejeffrey You shouldn't wish for it lol. The 2023 runs out of battery after like 2 hours due to them switching to intel CPUs for it. Which honestly makes no sense due to this being a portable foldable laptop
4:04 is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

I was screaming at my screen "YOU FORGOT A SCREW" even before you tried putting the spudger in, but I realised you can't hear me.
Thank you i just literally did this to my laptop (same model). So far so good thanks for the help.
Thanks for your video! I upgraded mine to 64gb ram and an additional 4TB SSB. Least than fifteen minutes!
No issue after couples months?
@@LordGordan1 No issue with hardware. One or two games seemed not to like a D: drive installation, but all working well now.

exactly what I need!!, I literally started praying when the laptop took along time to boot uo, questioned my self a bit lol Thanks for the guide
Priceless :) Just finished the upgrade!
Very helpful tutorial and very careful. Thank you, sir, I wish you continued success!👍
Question, does it have 2 ssd upgrade slots or one? Because the laptop already comes with 1, so i can only install 1 more? or 2 more?
good question. I wanted to find out what we can add. I am thinking there is 2 slots. @blakejeffrey?
Good video. Especially thank you for the Memory Learning Delayed on restart tip! Cheers
Does it work on a 2023 model to change the ram? Thank's for this video. Keep up great work.
Yeah I have a 2023 model and just made the upgrades he made
Is this the 2023 model?
Three cooling fans are cool.
Wow i did this last week i didnt unplug the battery i only upgraded the ram and luckily nothing happend
It's okey mate, Even official service centers will do something like that

what model did you get? mine has 32gb ram stock

MY face when I realized it lol.
Could you install a 990PRO with a pre-installed heatsink? Or best to always install without heatsink?
awesome video, i just don't understand why there would be ram modules not work with this laptop? If you use SODIMM DDR5 ram it should be fine
Can i install 8 terabytes ssd?
that middle fan was clogged with dust shoulda used some dust off on it
is there a ram speed support list or bios update?
Did RAM upgrade make a difference in performance?
After i installed second SSD - in windows task manager it is not showing up. Any ideas?
you need to activate it in disk manager and create a partition
Please do a cleaning video
Hi, At what speed did the memory run?
Oh man your laugh is contagious 😂!

remove the new ssd, and boot up without it.

jst wnt to buy this but already know abt this case so i gave up my intention

Is the laptop the 2023 version?
I wish lol, 2022 X16 Flow 3060.

Indeed, the 2023 (I have it) runs out of battery FAST :(.
I have the same model R9 RTX3060 and I am planning to upgrade the ram and ssd, is it possible to add a Samsung 990 pro 4TB ? @@blakejeffrey
@@kevinsmetsIt's natural that Intel still uses a 10nm configuration on their CPU😂
is crucial as good? for ram
Yes!
Never close the back cover of your laptop while it is running. Even it is in a sleep mode!!! Never!!
By "back cover" you mean the part with screen? And why? Heat managment?
