Hello, I'm in year 12 currently.. I'm a little confused on of I wanna learn law alone or law with criminology.. So if you can tell which degree benefits me, it'd really be helpful. But I'll also be doing LLM for masters degree.. So I'm not sure if Law with criminology is better or just law alone..

Hey, it really depends on whether you’re interested in criminology or not! I liked and still like the study of the criminal kind and find it interesting alongside my law studies so it really depends on what you find interesting out of the two :)
Both degrees will benefit you the same. Choose something you enjoy and have an interest in!

Hi Esther I do 4 A-levels art, photography, graphic design and Spanish but I’m really interested to study law in uni can I do it? Or I need any specific A-level to do it?

      Hey,
You should be able to study law at university given you apply with a good personal statement and LNAT score if required. However, make sure to research the universities you want to apply to as some require you to take English at Alevel to study law at university :)

hello! i’m in year 12 currently so i am trying to decide which degree to do. i want to do law with criminology. i already do history, english lit and lang, and philosophy currently as well as mandarin for a level. would you recommend me studying it? i’m not entirely sure what job i want to do when i’m older but i know something in that field. i also really enjoy english so i’ve been debating whether i should do english or law with criminology. is there much english within law and crim? and would i be able to do other jobs in the future that’s not in law and crim with this degree?
    thank you
    xx

      Hey,
I would recommend studying law and criminology based on my experiences so far - a lot of people tend to work in a different field after their degree so don’t stress about that!
A law and criminology degree is very versatile and what employers mostly look for is a degree with good grades so don’t stress about that either!!
If you do decide to study English at university but later want to go into law, taking a law conversion course could be the one although it would need funding on your behalf most of the time!
Let me know if you have any other questions,
      Esther

I went to 6th form to complete my A-Levels before going to university - You may be able to go to university with other level 3 qualifications but I would complete some research behind that!

    Hello
I m interested to take admission for my son in undergraduate llb in criminology in uk.
how is the future of this degree in uk.
thus this is the right decision?
    ur sincerely
    Riaz khan

    • @estherrwan
      @estherrwan  2 года назад

      Hi Riaz,
Criminology as a degree is very interesting and if your son is interested in studying this, then it is a great degree to choose. In terms of future prospects, he can go into the criminology field which is always going to be needed and if not, he would be able to pursue other career paths( as many people end up doing something completely different to what they studied at university).
I hope this helped and let me know if you have any more questions!
      God bless,
      Esther
