Hey man, if you want to be a Private Investigator you shouldn't go to school at all. Complete waste of time & money. Depending on your state laws, usually anyone 18+ with a high school degree can be licensed. Mostly classes cost on average $500 for the PI class.
I am debating between majoring in Criminal Justice or being a RN! I can’t decide!! I just started school again so I have to start from the beginning and I have looonggg way to go but still I can’t decide!
I'm a RN of 20 years and NP for 2. If nursing is not in your heart do not do it. The profession has really changed. Healthcare is all about money. You run the risk of being over worked while being subjected to abuse from managers, co-workers, patients and families. If you are a person who really cares you will also be picking up other's slack a lot because there are many nurses who really do not care. If it is not in your heart you will be miserable and it will show. This is not fair to the patients nor yourself. Fortunately, I love what I do and that is how I stayed in it so long. However, many of my peers and myself are over the things I have listed and will be getting out soon. I am not trying to scare you. I'm just being honest as to what healthcare is like really like these days. My advice is to talk to a few nurses if you haven't already. All the best in your decision if you haven't made one yet.
@Egypt Gheethats so stupid. those people either didn't like the medical field or never finished their degree. I know a girl who is an RN she got a job right away making 35 an hour. She also had a bachelor in cj but was stuck at tax company for years. You don't need a CJ degree for any law enforcement department. Which makes the degree completely useless.

Hello, I’m a junior in high school and am heavily looking into pursuing criminal justice as a major in college, but I have recently heard that there is a chance I will be needing to take a foreign language class in order to do criminal justice.I just finished 3 years of Spanish in high school and not sure if I’m willing to go through that again in college. Is it true that I might have to take a foreign language class to pursue criminal justice?
You dont need a foreign language for a criminal degree if you already have 3 years in high school. The foreign language requirement is for ANY degree. Criminal justice degrees are super easy and require not additional science or math that what is required to graduate with any degree
Hey I just got accepted to SHSU going for a CJ major. Explain the classes in detail on the course work and how much the load is. Thanks I’m taking it online.
@@InsightofSamantha Thank You, love you to Sister. I always look forward to your progress. God is truly proud of you. I can hear Him saying, "I'm proud of my Angel."💕🙏

Here at Central Washington University--I like how it's called "Law and Justice" instead of criminal justice. Why? because I say "Oh--I'm a LAW major"..."blah blah blah--I'm a law major and...blah blah.." makes is sound like im already in law school. lol. But seriously--I graduate in about 4 weeks! :) Ive applied for the master's degree for next Fall and I also hope to go to law school. Luckily I have a 3.5--not bad for a high school dropout :)
Hi, I know this will sound very random but I have some questions. I am a junior in HS today, I’m very interested in the criminal justice field and the law field. But I’m worried because English is not my first language, and I have an accent. I feel that I’m gonna suffer a type of discrimination working in the criminal justice field/law field. what’s your opinion about it? criminal justice is what I wanna have a degree and it’s my passion. Another thing, I want to work with courts and trials, can I do that with a criminal justice degree or do I need to have a Law school degree? Also, with a degree in criminal justice what can you work with? because I have 0 interest in being a cop. hope you read this 🥰
A lot of my friends did criminal Justice. Yes you will face discrimination for your accent. The field is very insider! But if you are smart, you dress nice, and know how to do paperwork and talk to people you can go get a clerical job at the courthouse or a law firm when you graduate. At the same time take your core classes at community college. If no law firm will take you in that time then you can switch majors before you get too deep.
Chris Reynolds do you think discrimination depends on where you live? Like I’m from New England, I don’t see a lot of discrimination or prejudice, the population here is diverse. When you are saying core classes, are you talking about Law or criminal justice?
@@matheusmorais2364 By core classes I mean math, English, history, government, (maybe a few others specific to your state). Diversity on the street and diversity in legal offices are two different things. There's still probably a disproportionate amount of white people holding the best positions. If you start trying to get in the door early then you can map out the barriers. Like I said if you can put on a nice suit and charm people you can get in! Legal professionals are very good at not telling you why they won't hire you so you may never fully understand the discrimination you face.
matheus morais Hey I’m also a junior in HS although its true you probably will receive discrimination in this type of field this shouldn’t stop you from doing what you want to study! I know its hard to hear but don’t pay attention to ignorant people and do what YOU want to do don’t let that be a set back and later on in life regret it. I’m a POC so I’m pretty sure ill also receive some sort of racism for my color but to me that just means they are jealous because of that. Use your other language as an advantage ! Hey Jheff. To inform you that I am deaf, I have attended UCF and graduated with Criminal Justice’s bachelor degree in 2020 summer. I have to make sure to tell you to not take a correctional/penology class with Karol Lucken and a Criminal Justice Ethics with Debra Ross. Karol Lucken leads students to have a fail grade and she make a vague exam which it is not match textbook or presentation. She is a lousy teacher ever. I have no idea why she still work for many year at UCF but she is a terrible teacher. Debra Ross give people some wrong information, make a vague rubric for essay/discussion board. If you are not a great writer, not take Debra’s class because she is a nazi grammar and take a lot of point off with grade when you write in a wrong sentence or error grammar. I barely have passed Debra’s class with C grade when I use Grammarly. Good luck. I am going to a graduate school with criminal justice master in this fall.
You can definitely do it! It truly depends on what days you have class. Some classes are Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays every week but other classes are Tuesday, Thursday only. You make your own class schedule and the workload is not a lot! Very manageable! I worked two jobs and did school :)
