Uh, yes. 700 hp is just enough to get the job done. However, I'd make sure to opt for the safety net so the potatoes don't go rolling all around in the back as I roll. ;)
In my opinion, a brilliant looking vehicle. I feel like this generation fixed the looks of the Panamera, especially the Wagon/'Sport Turismo'. That orange color looks great as well, suits the vehicle well. Great catch!
For what ? If you are going to obey speed limit lol nobody uses these hp unless your in a race track anything over 400hp is too much for me and even 400hp is just fun to have anything more then that really like what’s needed for
I have this car and would order it again in exactly the same spec. Fantastic performance, interior fit and finish is best in class, and it drives like a Porsche without ever giving away that it weighs 5k lbs.
The gas engine kicking in when doing kick downs even in e-power mode is a safety feature. If you need the extra acceleration to safely make a suddenly tight pass or to get out of the way of something the car will give you the maximum acceleration if you floor it. No matter the mode. Additional note, I've actually driven a Turbo S E-Hybrid and my god.. It's a beast!
Thank you for letting me know what I've been missing in life. I'm so very torn between this and the Taycan from Porsche not that I have the money but a guy has gotta fantasize. ;-)
Preach it, brother M, preach it. That orange really stands out, we need more colors like that, enough of the usual suspects. Excellent work as always dude. And its always good to have the Boss man in front of the camera.

I’m going to say it. Having driven Ferraris on the street for a number of years of varied model types between 2009 and 2014, looks aside, they never held a candle to Porsche. Not then, not now. Its amazing how many more Porsches you see in Miami now and how rare it is to see a Ferrari (except covered in a parking garage).
George, guys, wherever you are: the s**t hit the fan big time this year. But as long as we have 700 hp wagons like this, I wish you all a happy Christmas and a better 2021 from Germany! Holy s**t indeed!
You have car reviewers on planet Earth and you have MotoMan !! YES ! Of course I need this 'station'wagen ;) Just an hour drive from Motor Heaven (German Autobahn).
Thanks for the all the work MotoMan. I have a point of hopefully constructive criticism: Too much talk, not enough rawk? I've never understood why these videos contain so little driving footage. This 13.5 minute video contains 2.5 minutes of driving footage?
Same here. Two leaky sunroofs have made me very leery of them. And with panoramic roofs becoming increasingly common, that’s just all the more sealed roofing to leak. No sunroofs or panoramic roofs for me, please!
That's the most beautiful Panamera ever - I know its quite heavy - but my dream hybrid - yes please! If its a german car only - I take it :) Can't believe you cannot have the state-of-the-art lighting tech on cars in the US - it's a security issue!
Porsche’s stated acceleration time and top speed, 0-60 mph 3.0 seconds, top speed 196 mph. Real world numbers because we all know that Porsche understates their performance figures, 0-60 mph 2.8 seconds, top speed 205 mph. All while getting better mileage than the previous version.
Wheels are a £1000 option in the UK. Without going absolutely crazy on the options Ive managed to get mine up to £160,000 in the same colour and wheels with the must have panoramic roof.
Since you sprinkle a lot of German words in there... This car is what you would describe in Germany as a "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau" . E.g. a egg-laying, wool- and milk-producing sow/pig. Or in better English a can-do-everything thingy - though implying that it might not be practical. Though it seems this 'thing' covers most bases: acceleration, economy (if you must), practicality, sportiness, exclusivity/prestige, coupe/wagon. Thanks for covering this car.
Great video - keep them coming! I love this car. I actually just ordered a '21 Sport Turismo 4E Hybrid in that same color with Cohiba Brown and sweetgum wood! I didn't know if the extra few tenths of a second were worth the difference. My current car is a BMW GT that isn't nearly as fast, so I think I will be fine. I don't even know what the mileage will be yet because the EPA hasn't announced it yet. They said that it could wait a few weeks for the EPA to get that approved before I can pick it up. I don't care - I am just very excited. I expect it to get here in late Feb or early March. Has anyone else ever ordered a Porsche like that - how long does it take to get here usually? After it gets here my son and I are doing the Atlanta pick-up & experience - we are pretty excited about that. Please keep taking more and more videos of these cars - I am trying to see all of the details of these vs. the older versions. Thanks!!
Now after driving the newly updated Panny, @MotomanTv which would you prefer as a daily if money was no object....the 2021 Taycan Turbo S or the 2021 Panamera Turbo S hybrid? Both are amazing fuel efficient vehicles, granted slightly different size-wise both carry with them very few negatives. If I had the choice I would have both just because I love a good exhaust note but if I’m buying both I may as well get a Taycan Turbo S and a 991.2 GT3RS
Always a pleasure, thanks. But no, I don't agree that a 700 hp station wagon is as equally desirable as a Ferrari F430. A station wagon (and a sedan, for that matter) means carrying more than one passenger and/or cargo. Unless you're an FIA Medical Team doctor or perhaps in the donated human organs business, I can't see why you'd need a station wagon with 700 hp to propel other people and or other stuff. And if you can afford $200k for a car, just get a station wagon for what it does well and a sports car for what it does well.
Reality is, most people who would buy this or the Ferrari - they have multiple cars in this stratosphere. Thus would not be surprised to see a garage with this Panamera and a GT3 or similar. And then most likely a Toyota Tacoma for a daily . . .
I wish they used the 620ps engine. It's probably what they really did because that's what they do Also it's called the: Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-hybride That's a fucking mouthful
I like the manual and i dont give to farts its a full second slower or whatever than your super fast auto. I like the manual because i control everything, its a more intimate connection to your car and if you enjoy these mechanical beasts you should understand what im talking about. Id never want an auto on my V4S, id burn this place to the ground!
I understand you don't have the EPA numbers, and the vehicle is Euro spec... but why not share EU fuel economy figures, tho?! According to that skinny kid from Carfection, this very vehicle gives 97.4MPG "on the combined cycle, which is preposterous." Of course, that's Europe. US Spec?! Maybe 19mpg, if lucky.
We are not big believers in the Euro cycle in these parts . . . Why? Not a good representation of what the car will return as evidenced by your example. Even with the PHEV mode going, I got nowhere NEAR 97.4 MPG. Perhaps the Euro Federales were driving a different car.

He sez there is not quite enough space for him to stand up in the back while driving but other than that, it's a winner:)
That’s a lot of tea leaves.
Incredible car, incredible spec...and the Taycan Sport Turismo will be even better!
REALLY looking forward to driving that.
It will be a bit smaller, if you have driven the Taycan vs. Panamera. And on a long trip the hybrid still wins 🤔

It says it uses 3 liter/100km so 33,3km/liter or 78.3 mpg. That's nuts with an 80 liter fuel tank...
Can you get a 3 kid friendly rear seat row instead of captain's seats?
Yes - that is standard for the Sport Turismo - not available on the regular panamera though
It’s available with a normal Panamera as well.
