Sara seems to be a very kind and warm person. She seemed to jump in to suggest speaking to the wall to stop George making a quick reply without properly thinking about it. I do think that George got the right Dragon for him though. He's obviously nervous and probably a bit timid and I think Tej has the right character to draw the best out of this talented and affable young man.
I agree with most of what you said but I think 45% is a little too high.
Yea but think about it, there's no way she's going to beat Deborah as the hard dragon, so as the new woman dragon Sara would want to put forward a different role for herself in order to stand out in the show. Just sayin', she seems nice.
Tej will have him for breakfast. He displayed a complete absence of negotiating skills. But I agree that he is affable and talented. I hope he toughens up for his own sake.

Years ago...naive as I was, I wrote to a major corporation asking for a meeting with their marketing director. I met with him and told him of my idea......he said, "We've already thought of that." I left, and about six months later they had my idea out on the market. Coincidence? I don't think so. I have never made that mistake again, instead I made it somewhere else....with my employer when I worked in the specialty industrial chemical business. Over the course of my 15 years with them as a salesman and sales manager I developed three multi-million dollar marketing programmes that i experimented with and tested and which functioned extraordinarily successfully. I was, in the first few years very successful with my first idea and was promoted to sales manager for a huge part of the country. 14 years later there was a world-wide depression, (in the early 1990's), and the company, in order to save themselves, changed the compensation rules....which is illegal for 100% commissioned employees and I left. Many tears later my good friend, the Chief operating Officer for the country I lived in who had returned to the United States phoned me and said, "You know all your marketing ideas that you and I discussed and I put together for you...." "Yes"......."I just found out from head office that *%^$ &%#%*% told head office that they were HIS ideas and that you were just test-marketing them for him....you know*^$% he was terrified of you." Where there is money there are no morals.

This guy needs to learn how to sell and negotiate. When he asked Tej "Would u do 40%", Tej responed: blablabla, that was my thinking. He dd NOT say no, and the guy just gave up. I firmly believe he couldv'e gotten 40% or potentially even less.
yes my thoughts too. originally offered 10% and tej said 45%. by asking 40% tej knew that this guy wasn't going to turn him down over that 5%, so he may as well take it.

exactly but she has a great mind because she's always careful in making deals .so she has to wait for some young brilliant minds to speak
I actually don't think that's fair because on many occasions she's said she totally disagrees with what he said. I just think she respects his opinion particularly on tech investments and that is just prudent as he's the most successful dragon.
You know how they say that a very large percentage of these deals fall through after filming, this is definitely one of those. His face when he accepted said it all, I bet he regretted it the second he left.

It's insane this guy got an offer at all with a 1 million valuation at no sales. I also think Tej should've gone 50% so he could influence the subscription model into the business more as an equal co-owner.

It's GUARANTEED every time Peter opts out Debra follows with some unimportant waffle aping what her toy boy has just said, she is limited on this show, just watch her closely Peter is out then Debra follows pretending she knows what she's talking about!
Seen Debora invest plenty of times when Peter didn't want to, also seen her give advice and critisicms plenty of times when Peter hasn't.

I had exact same idea 2 Years ago, just for Vienna.
Even did some prototyping with this kind of optimization, some spot where u wanna book for a specific campaign are obvious, others aren't.
So in my humble opinion, he didn't explain the data science part well enough, cause it also help customers to get more bang for their bucks. This out door panels come with different price tags and lets say u wanna spend x amount for a campaign and you try to target a specific audience u might get very different results then a human expects.
So if the data collecting and AI part is done well, its easily worth that 1 million. I'm surprised that other dragons didn't see the potential of this.
But to be honest, seeing myself stand in front of this, i probably wouldn't have done any better, so in that regard well done George.
tej just figured it was a good way to get his advertising for his company and thats why he invested not because he believes there is a business there but because he sees it as an add on perk for his company

if this fella was a half-decent salesman they’d all have wanted to invest. It was an awkward, nervous and unimpressive pitch. He should have justified the valuation based on the product development, development team and accessibility to the advertising now afforded by the platform. Even the attempt to renegotiate was limp.
He could provide this information for people in universities (for their courses) as a package - they will want this. Students need something like this in a marketing or media course for example.

Deborah doesn't get it at all. People nowadays want to do all their shit online. Nobody wants to make avoidable phone calls anymore. If I needed to advertise on some billboards for my business, I'd much rather use this guy's program than calling up agencies asking a bunch of questions I can answer myself by using the software
