Bless him you can tell he was struggling through that pitch, well done
It's what makes him so genuine. By no means a polished pitch but it was legit and people bought into him.

Fair play to the guy. An honest bloke who has passion and belief about his product. Good on him for getting the investment.
wildebest Doesn’t matter, their names linked to that product will get him a lot of recognition, as will appearing on the program in the first place
Only 20% who get a deal actually sign on the dotted line , do you think I signed ?
Why didn't you sign?
The problem is all financers screw people like this ovet.

Jesus that made me chuckle
Ahhh he seems a lovely soul. Did a great job and a really smart but simple invention!
Hello Elizabeth How are you doing today hope things are fine over there my friend
I really love it that even when a dragon has declined to invest, they're still genuinely happy for the entrepreneur that some other dragon has taken them up.
The business is growing 10% year on year with zero marketing and these plonkers can't see the opportunity ???
They ripped him a new one taking 50% of his company :O
But after he pay off their investment they drop 10% leaving him 60%. I would take that anyday with two dragons Theo and Debra.
@@samem14 yeah Deborah especially, she's invested in quite a few similar products
Andersfc1000 £0 profit for 10 years, it was a good deal. 2 dragons and 100k (With a buyback)
They CAN see the opportunity. But they work together to rip off the inventor as much as possible.
Even if they don't want to invest personally they make it easier for the others.
Jenny- “This socket doesn’t switch on for me and for that reason I’m out”
Sir Jimmy Savile Desgusten
Shocking..
He knows the numbers, he loves the products and he did research. Impressive
That was a wholesome episode, I wish that dude all the best
Seems like a nice guy; blunt and honest, with an interesting project for once. Good luck to him.
Thank you
Jesus man, so how's the business going?
Before having seen the whole video: Isn't this guy the most likeable investor, ever?
It's always insulting when they ask for 50% of the company. No one should ever accept that offer
Having now watched a dozen or more of these Dragons' Den pitches on RUclips, I am just writing thank you for the delight to the ear(s) and the educational programming.
Another excellent example of a sincere, humble individual making a stronger impression than a flashy, arrogant one.
“If I choose to give you 100k of my children’s inheritance” lmao damn
I half imagined him rejecting the offer, and asking Sara for that job offer 😂
Earlier today I read a post saying that this was worth bingwatching.
No idea why RUclips recommended Dragon's Den for me to watch but I am hooked
What an amazing guy. I have been watching a bunch of those Dragons Den videos lately but this one I enjoyed the most. Such a lovely man, so nice and friendly. I think he did himself really proud doing such a great job. Huge congratulations to him. We need more people like him!
100,000 for 30% of the business and he has done next to zero marketing is not a big ask. I think this product could be huge in the construction, remodelling, housing and hardware industries. Like what?? I just had one other question of whether there were similar products in the market being used.
Is no-one going to comment on Theo calling Deborah Khaleesi?? 😂😂😂
No
It's all about reassurance, now that Sara's joined the den 😉
ArunPlaysPiano 😂🤣😂🤣😂☺️🤣☺️🤣
I dub you Jaqen H'ghar, comment away!
I nearly lost it when he said that lol. Playing to her ego likely helped facilitate an offer for the guy.

never been happier to see someone get the deal!
The Dragons are multimillionaires and deserve to be as they have taken risk themselves. But taking 50/40% of someone's company is just pure greed.
Without them his business will just about put food on the table. Where as with them he could possibly become a millionaire. 50% of Millions or 100% of thousands? hmmmm not rocket science is it 😕
@@thorpskirocks8993 I know it's not rocket science, I'm just saying how greedy the Dragons are, it's not like they need the money. Get your initial investment back and make money but 50%???? They are like payday loans.
Wai Lee business is business, his company hasn’t made a profit for a decade, I think it was a reasonable offer.
@@1234Cheesus not saying he should not have taken the deal because I would off. It's just that I stand the greed of the Dragons, like I said to a previous response it like payday loans.

How do the dragons not laugh every time Theo says "my children's inheritance" 😂. He's done well and he knows his buisness and the market very well! He's got the perfect dragons
"Mrs. P wouldn't be happy for me to invest"
Theo invested only cause he wanted to go out and drive cars with him haha..
"Khaleesi there" 😂😂😂😂 Theo is hilarious 🤣
The thing I hate about dragons den is how small the investments are compared to shark tank because the investments are mainly 50 or 100k whilst shark tank invests millions into businesses with good potential
you probably won't like irish dragons den then ..
the reason that i don't like shark tank is cos they are all ill-mannered greedy ass-holes and bullies..
And I think Shark Tank US investors are more smart, innovative, respectful and ready to take the risks. However, nobody is more entertaining than Peter Jones especially his pissed off face 🤣
You can't really compare the shows tbh. Shark Tank is all drama and people who have already made their businesses. Dragons Den is more ordinary people with good ideas or smaller businesses looking for experience and guidance to help them grow their small businesses.
Theo loves his children
Theo looked PISSED when Deborah put that buyback on the table 😂
Brilliant product, I cam see it becoming compulsory on health and safety grounds.
It seems like whenever someone is visibly nervous, everyone is automatically on their site. Even the comment section is full of love and best wishes for that guy and I feel the same way.
It makes you wonder why we even try to appear confident and without weakness ...
Some pull off confident some pull off being a lil wonky depends
There are different types of nervous. This guy was literally shaking but you can tell he believes in the product and has an honest sense about him, and he even started to get a little more comfortable as the pitch went on. Others may start out appearing confident, but as the pitch continues and they are investigated by the dragons you can see their energy change. The pitfalls of the operation that they try to sweep under the rug are being given the spotlight and a lot of people's nervous energy starts to come out. This entrepreneur was open and honest about his business model and downfalls.
@@monir6834 And some pull off being an overbearing douchebag. How is that working out for you?
I was in the Den for 2hours they only show 15minutes of it on the show, yes I was very nervous
Makes me laugh how Theo always says “of my children’s inheritance” 😂😂😂
You can tell, that’s a hard working man. I wish him all the best
How can u not want this guy to succeed in this, I think under his pressure I wouldnt be as confident. Legend none the less
💯
Deborah and Theo flirting, was more like an unscripted episode of Love Island 😂😂
When peter wants to invest I've noticed he never speaks first he always listens to all the investors then gives the friendliest offer and makes all the entrepreneurs choose him instead of the other investors
BBC: "Jenny, we'd like to offer you a spot on the next season of Dra -"
Jenny: "I'm out."
Top bloke! "For that reason, I'm in!" 😀
One of the best I have watched. I hope you smashed it, real nice guy.
I love him. Delighted he reached a deal. The Dragons were right to split. With that pricing & margin, it’s be a while before they make their money back, so definitely makes sense to increase equity to keep them interested b
Good to see David Wallace's invention brought to market
hahahahahahahaha is that in IJ??!!!
Suck it!
Jenny: “I don’t like the colour yellow and for that reason I’m out.”
Unfortunately we can't make jokes about her now, since she quit after two years, i.e. this year, and Sara has taken her place.
So far I can only fault Sara her for her sulking mouth, but she cannot do much about that, and seems a much nicer person too.
Humble gentleman, deserves success.
I like how it took a little bit for Deborah to realize what happened when Richard used their "For that reason..." bit. haha
"Redundant." Look at how people are classified. Horrible.
Agree. Been there too - twice. It's not a nice badge to wear.
Theo: Khaleesi in the middle there...
*S E X U A L T E N S I O N*
Deborah: I'll take dragon queen any day of the week Theo...

What a lovely chap - warm, humble & very personable. A superbly clever and simple invention too. I think he (& with the expertise & investment from the two dragons of coarse) go far & do really well in time. Glad he got a deal. Good watch. Rx
I love how yer wan casually breaks one in half with absolutely no reaction from anyone else.
They are designed to break in half 😁👍
This was weirdly wholesome
This guy looks like the big bloke in the coal room in polar express
I love the narrators puns the most😂
Are you actually 6 Mathew?
If I had $ for every time I've grabbed the hanging outlets and got a shock...
He should have at least tried negotiating, i'm sure they would have gone down to a shared equity of 45% or less.
This was better overall. He needs them to care enough to pretty much run his entire business from here.
@@KoopaXross True
I would usually think this but I think in this instance there wasn't much wiggle room, they'd already set the terms with two dragons and a buyback.
@@SkyReviewsNet With two dragons it's likely to be a very successful product, so even with 50% the guy is going to become a millionare. At least that's what I think.
Delighted for him! comes across as a very decent and genuine guy...hope he has made a fortune. (And I haven't forgotten that it's a pretty nifty product, that could also be adapted to light fittings, hiding cables, etc.)
Yorkshire accent is so adorable. .
Bless him.. I bet he dreamed of saying that one day... for that reason I'm in.
Theo seems like a proper guy he was pushing Debora like we need to help this guy out
Looks like a nice guy and despite not being a salesman and all that I actually thought his pitch was not bad at all. Far better than some of the others and perhaps a lot of it had to do with him being straightforward and honest, no lying about the figures and just told them how he is and what he needs etc.
You see others who are meant to be businessman and sales people failing quite hard but he overall kept it together and I thought it wasn't a bad pitch.
Love how Sarah said 'No Pressure'
Well done, seems like such a lovely bloke with a simple yet clever idea.
I'm really pleased for him! Hope he does well.
ANOTHER very good episode. All up, probably what the whole show is about, or should be about! And terrific, honest, and intelligent comments! Thanks for the enjoyment, both episode and comments!!
Good on him, don’t give up your dream people.
Theo's children's inheritance must be absolutely stacked by this point
I wonder if Theo's children are going to earn any money of their own at some point? 🤔😂
Comes ridiculously close to his face while he's struggling
"No pressure"
Yep scary close 😬
A simple, great invention that just works, this was made for DD. Well done.
as a builder this guy does have the right idea.... only problem is how much is that compared to 50 cents a plate? thats the biggest problem because what you don't see don't hurt basis in building (except structural). So, in other words, why would a builder or electrician would spend more than 50 cents a plate in australia? if the price can go down, this has real potential, it means he can change the general standard of building with his product alone
"My names Richard Brook..." "My names Jenny and I'm out"
He might not be a sales man.. But he is a legend!
Smart man. So few realize that even if you must sell 90% of your company, a dragon will make the company worth so much your 10% will be worth more than your 100% in the long run, smart man.
This man is everything worth investing in
Good lad Richard - well done! I love it when good guys win! :-)
Haha love that "for that reason I'm in" 🤣
If he was a female then Sarah wouldn’t have cared about the redundancy
What a name, The Oppo Fetus
What means "Oppo", Vagina Picture?
Honestly a really good deal if you're making that much money with no real marketing and you're getting that plus connections. I'm happy for this guy. :)
Hold on but the cost price goes down from 7.5p to 8p? Did anyone else notice that?
