Shame how most deals don't actually work out in the end. Makes the show less interesting when you know that someone getting a deal in the den doesn't really mean that much.
All of the offers were crap anyway. If I were one of the dragons I would have taken his initial proposal. £100,000 profit in the first 3 months, and looking like his business will only grow. I wouldn't be surprised if I made all my money back in the first year.
Peter is being very unthoughtful and unreasonable, lets say his job generates about 120k and his bussiness 100k, thats about 60% of the money gone. Then they want 30% of that bussiness. Which leaves about about 20 - 30 or so percent of his income. He has a family that he has to take care of which that small amount of money wont even cover. Then he'll have absolutely nothing to invest in his bussiness. Very short sighted and rich coming from peter
@@00Kuja00 true but no matter how much you believe in something, you diversify your assets, your income streams. It's insurance against your own bias and life.
Peter slept in a warehouse while recuperating from heavy losses in his late twenties. He knows everything about sacrifice and needing to work hard for success.
Something the dragons and sharks have in common, is that you have to throw everything away for a business you just started, regardless of the risk, or if you have family, or get sick, or want to not be homeless
he shouldve asked peter if he feels comfortable placing all of his equity in only one investment, i mean .. he clearly doesnt like people who have more than 1 stream of income so he shouldnt have it either
Peter isn't worried about multiple streams of income. He is worried about multiple streams of distractions. And that is understandable when it comes to a fledgling business. Besides, one business can still have multiple streams of income.
I would never take Peters offer just for the principals . Yup , but I am not a business men and I am an Asperger so 😅😅😅, I don’t expect everyone to do the same .
i think peter does this for tactical advantage - like make the other dragons not make an offer...but yeah toukers offer was sound - keep his job and have a team run the company for him, whilst he makes tons of cash from tht - peter only got this through his affiliation with tennis....that was the game changer
I'd rather have Tej - he seems just as switched on as Peter, and probably better to work with. More often than not, when Tej makes an offer, the others simply copy him.
He recognised a high level sales pitch from peter and hung in there. He's a company director himself and alluded to knowing about the ''game'' in the post interview. Part of business is being tough, genuine and hanging in there and sometimes working with people that vehemently disagree with you, or pretend to...
The only pitch that had me on the edge of my seat and butterflies in my stomach. This guy is so investable! You can see the sharpness of his mind and he is honest and genuine. Peter plays a good game. He made the guy reconsider keeping his job and by default, the entrepreneur gravitated toward the most intense emotional challenge. This a fantastic display of Peter's negotiation, manipulation and domination skills! No wonder why this f****r is filthy rich. Perfect display of dog eat dog attitude. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.
The fact is the job hes working wont grow much more past that anymore, but the business can grow still alot more, 100k in that kind of business could be considered small stuff.

Wonder why he went with Peter with all other dragons in. Gotta say touckers offer seemed prime; he’d stay at his day job while his company gets run for him by experts and passively makes him a ton of money
That could be a hostile takeover though.
@@jarednil69 Eh, not really. Can't take it over without 51%
Peter “Bulldozer” Jones was one of the finest left backs from the 80s. Made over 300 appearances for Oldham Athletic before his controversial move to Dragons Den
Is that true?
No way this guy is this dumb
@Jonathan Murray Thanks for that fascinating bit of trivia. I'm off to see if I can find any clips of those legs back in the day. Happy days!
lmao 🤣
Every time Peter stands up it still shocks me how big he is
Touker mentioned the team that could run the business but forgot to mention the office space. That would surely have sealed the deal.
*Jenny trying not to be picked:* I'm going to make you an offer... all of the money for 99% of the business
A rare spectacle, yeh because Jenny never offers.
I like how he picked the guy who gave him the hardest time, perhaps it's a psychological tactic? Being hyper critical at first then doing a 180 can be surprisingly effective.
A v rich man telling him he cant work the jobs he feels like to maintain security for his family.
Jenny’s face at 12:44 when Peter said he’s gonna make an offer 😂😂
If this guy brought his product to South America and could get the licensing from the big clubs it would sell like water.
Ive always noticed South America is loyalty central for fans. there are even a lot of bands and musicians that arent as popular now, but if you look at where most of their listens are from on spotify, South America is keeping them going.
"After a grilling for 70 minutes (the edit lasts only 7 minutes that you see on TV) Stephen achieved the rare accolade of receiving offers from all five Dragons! After careful consideration shaking hands with Peter Jones. Fast forward a few months and it was decided not to work with Peter, instead remaining a family run business which we are to this day"
Shame how most deals don't actually work out in the end. Makes the show less interesting when you know that someone getting a deal in the den doesn't really mean that much.
Good for him!
All of the offers were crap anyway. If I were one of the dragons I would have taken his initial proposal. £100,000 profit in the first 3 months, and looking like his business will only grow. I wouldn't be surprised if I made all my money back in the first year.
@@ghgdtgzxfg6960 £100k gross profit. The net profit will be much lower
How do you know this?
Really overdoing it on the music this season
Jenny is very well acquainted with exit strategies, she's usually exited before she's invested
😂😂😂 ace
What the hell? He's not allowed to continue work and also run a business? Peter is an absolute clown.
Incorrect He is a rea entrepreneur . Not a part timer.
@@walkernick86 not a part timer? That’s the point of of his job he is a part timer in new businesses he takes stakes in other jobs
Like the way he shaked all the dragons hands after , great business hope he goes far
"Since I am known as a benchwarmer, I'm out." - Jenny
**Steve hands Jenny personalised book with Jenny’s name on**
Jenny: Steve, Hi I’m Jenny
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣😂
😆😆😆
Absolutely wow
Jenny actually made an offer?
Shes usually screaming she's out the second she gets her free samples 🤣
Peter ‘I make the viewer think that I’m not going to invest but PLOT TWIST I am investing’ Jones
touker's offer made the most sense. He'd have been left with a 60% stake in a business that other people did the graft on !
My thoughts exactly mate
agreed - but Pete has those connections - his affiliation with tennis was the game changer
Yeah but they wouldn't do that graft for free. They would bill the company every month possibly leaving very little profit; i.e. 60% of not a lot.
Jenny: I think this is prime EXIT material and that's something I'm very well acquainted with.
Literally every viewer: You don't say...
😂
Jenny: I'm in
Steven: I'm out
Jenny, was not sure if she had all the money to back up her offer. lol
Why does everybody always chose Peter?
Marius VanDamme Probably because of his track record - he’s the wealthiest dragon, with the biggest portfolio of successful businesses and connections
Peter "You dont need me, so thats why I'm gonna make you an offer" Jones.
or
Peter "here's my expected bait and switch line" Jones.
100k in 3 months. I think Peter wanted to point out if he was willing to sacrifice something for success.
@@00Kuja00 true but no matter how much you believe in something, you diversify your assets, your income streams. It's insurance against your own bias and life.
Peter was out of his mind
Peter slept in a warehouse while recuperating from heavy losses in his late twenties. He knows everything about sacrifice and needing to work hard for success.
@@Bollibompa But his wife and kids were not sleeping in a warehouse with him.
Something the dragons and sharks have in common, is that you have to throw everything away for a business you just started, regardless of the risk, or if you have family, or get sick, or want to not be homeless
Wow. didn't realize Peter is 9 feet tall.
He’s 6”7
I got my son the Celtic one of these and he absolutely loved it. Great product
he shouldve asked peter if he feels comfortable placing all of his equity in only one investment, i mean .. he clearly doesnt like people who have more than 1 stream of income so he shouldnt have it either
Peter isn't worried about multiple streams of income. He is worried about multiple streams of distractions. And that is understandable when it comes to a fledgling business. Besides, one business can still have multiple streams of income.
12:40 Peter: "i'm gonna make you an offer"
Jenny's expression: "that's me out"
I would never take Peters offer just for the principals .
That man really is a salesman. Never seen anyone have such good responses.
Love that he shook all their hands. Everyone should do this if they have half a brain, regardless of the outcome of their pitch.
But what should they do if they have a complete brain?
Yes, it's very polite. People forget that these days.
Why?
And spread germs
I think most entrepreneurs do that. It just doesn't make it to the final edited video
This is a genius idea. It can go from sports to fantasy or science fiction and so on. Good for him and best of luck.
They always choose Peter Jones over the others, when there are competitive offers!
Reliability I guess. Him and Deborah are the only original ones left so the people that come in know they're good long-term.
He’s the best salesman, he pitches them on himself which is why he always gets them
True, and it winds Touker up the most. You can see it on his face lol
@@lukeporter6186 Totally agree and to be fair, if i ever went in i would want Peter or Deborah
I'd rather have Tej - he seems just as switched on as Peter, and probably better to work with. More often than not, when Tej makes an offer, the others simply copy him.
Butters Peter up with “I know you like Tennis” after he’s been grueled just minutes earlier. Pretty good salesman lol
He recognised a high level sales pitch from peter and hung in there. He's a company director himself and alluded to knowing about the ''game'' in the post interview. Part of business is being tough, genuine and hanging in there and sometimes working with people that vehemently disagree with you, or pretend to...
NYR2K8 k
"number 7, is that a midfielder" no jenny, it's a number.
I'm out
Football reference tho...
CR7
And said that she is a "Man U" fan
The only pitch that had me on the edge of my seat and butterflies in my stomach. This guy is so investable! You can see the sharpness of his mind and he is honest and genuine. Peter plays a good game. He made the guy reconsider keeping his job and by default, the entrepreneur gravitated toward the most intense emotional challenge. This a fantastic display of Peter's negotiation, manipulation and domination skills! No wonder why this f****r is filthy rich. Perfect display of dog eat dog attitude. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.
When the business fails and the quit his job...
Peter: it´s a risk, boi
Jenny to herself: *phew* close one.
AgileKhan 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
😂 😂 😂 😂
😂😂😂😂
Why would he leave a job making 100k + when he’s already made 100k from the business whilst working and made double makes no sense leaving
The fact is the job hes working wont grow much more past that anymore, but the business can grow still alot more, 100k in that kind of business could be considered small stuff.
Love the look on Peters face whenever someone makes an offer before him on something he’s pretending not to want before he makes an offer 🙄😂
I would have taken touker’s offer. 60% share and he does all the work.
I never realise how tall Peter is... he’s 6”7 !!!!
Peter has grown too comfortable asking people how much money they make on national TV.
when deborah goes from "i dont see future, it's not personalised" to "I see a lot of potential in this"...this man is a better sales man than sales men
What we are not told is that alot of these deals do not go through.
Peter: *sips his water*
Tej: *sighs, depressed staring*
Deborah: *steeples fingers*
Jenny: *mentally checking out*
Touker: *can't sit still*
Seriously, does Touker have worms? He can't sit still for his life lol
🤣🤣🤣does touker have worms 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Also Peter asks if he would give his job up. That's something he can't answer there as it's something to discuss with his wife.
Thing about Steven is that he comes across as a decent realistic guy, hence 5 offers.
