Sumaiya Vawda I laughed a bit too hard at that point! Peters face was like “what the fxxk did you just say?” Have you seen the one where all the Dragons but Jenny said “I’m out!” And she made an offer? The other dragons faces was a picture and I’m sure if I remember one of them actually said something along the lines of either “really?” Or “wow!” And another gasped. Or the one where Tej actually told Jenny “why don’t you invest in their company then if you believe in it so much?” She looked so offended and pissed off at what he said and it didn’t help the fact that all the other dragons looked shocked then started laughing at what Tej said to her. XoX 😂😂😂😂
Thanks I was looking for this comment heheh
I had to watch again yes seen him saying. Jany yes you are a good example never made an offer
Hahah for real. It's like how to be uncharismatic 101 with Jenny every day.
When does she say this??
Jenny was sitting there struggling to think of a way to say she’s out. As soon as Peter said towels aren’t exciting she went with that 😂
Yep
She's a waste of space
Basically lol
Jenny was not struggling, she just decided early that towels is not her market! That's it do not complicate matter to your own views

@Bigtombowski I have! At this point, they are just keeping Jenny on the Den as a Meme.
Where is the youtube comments guy that tells us how the company is doing now!? Should be mandatory for every dragons den video

Deborah was so smart with this offer, an offer they couldn’t refuse! She knew they wouldn’t require much of her or her colleagues time and also got herself a 10% share in a business that’s now turning over 4million pound a year! Almost half a million pound a year for very little work. What a business move that was
Turnover is not profit. She's not making 400k a year
@@seasonedbeefs thats right, even they specify their net profit is just over 30%.........even if they halved costs between then and now, she wouldnt be getting 250k for 10%, plus when you take into consideration either the tax on profits or capitol gains tax if she sold it........assuming that she didnt sell the shares back to them, even 10% on 4m she would probably be getting around 100k on that once alls said and done

Jenny “gets out” in the following two scenarios (the combination of which cover 100% of all pitches): a) the pitch is terrible b) the pitch is decent/good, because she wants to prevent being rejected by every single entrepreneur who would rather partner with any and every dragon over her. I have seen many many episodes of DD and fail to recall an instance when someone actually chose her offer over anyone else’s...
My personal thought is that they could make it more than just a towel business. They can expand into others form of beachwear or items with that material.
Agreed. While listening I was also designing a line of complementary products.
Gotta love this channel. They even agree Jenny's "I'm out!" Is nonsensical that they put it at the end of the video! Lol

So at 10% Deborah got a return of €1m when the business was sold for €10m, and is a product we pretty much all use and solves the problem of luggage space, and they are now making absorbant napkins, great job
They sold it for 10m, so yes Deborah probably got 900k profit if she still had the 10%. Now she could have made more than than trhough the growth period and sells the company did, so she may have made more than 20-30 times her investment overall. also did they sell the entire company for the 10m or did they just sell their shares for 10m? if they only sold their shares that means she probably still has the 10%.
