I don’t know much about cars But I am trying to replace rod bearings on a project I just got. It’s a 2005 Honda Civic EX. I don’t even know where to start could you help me out? And what’s the difference of main and rod bearings?

Mine sounds similar as in the video but it happen only when an engine was cold. After several time warm up,the sound disappear Is it cause from the rod bearing/conrod? But vtec still perform well above 5.8k rpm Anyone knows mind to share pls?

Your best bet would be to get a repair manual and just follow it step by step
