    Fellow beta tester here, on launch it has a lot of problems with the initial perimeter check. Sounds a little to positive for my liking. Personally I still haven’t gotten it to mow the lawn and it runs into walls and the mow strip constantly. I think you’d better wait a while before getting this one. I’m probably going to sending mine back.

    I have been using it for about 2 weeks, the first perimeter check (which is mandatory to start using) was a nightmare, i had to try around 8 times to have a successful run, and only after i manually helped it in some spots where it got stuck or lost. The issue is that if fail before complete its perimeter run you have to start all over again. Anyway, after the initial frustration it is working well now, but it is not rare for it to get stuck at some places where i need to manually rescue it and then it continues. I'm satisfied since i did not need to mow my lawn since it started but i programmed it to mow only in the late afternoon / early night which is when I'm at home and can rescue it when it gets stuck. I don't think it could work while I'm traveling.

    Can several tags be used if mowing zones are more than 6 meters apart?

    Maybe this is ignorance on my part. I signed up for the pre-sale, hoping I would get more information and reviews on the unit when it came out. All I got was a phone call from Worx asking me for my credit card. When I asked if they could point me in the direction of some more info they told me all they could do was remove me from the list. Just didn’t inspire confidence from me.

    No wire but you have to buy magnetic strips and green rings. Limited to 3 zones? What is the cutting width. Also how large an area can it cut? How long does it take to cut being it is random? Will it even cut all the grass in your yard?

      @denyswoodroffe490 Unfortunately, with most of the models I know, this is only possible if you lay or have a lawn edge.
      However, I can only recommend this, as it creates a clean boundary around the lawn! :)

    Magnetic strips and not mowing in straight lines in 2023? No, thank you. You can't even multizone a single lawn, it has to be divided by a pathway or something.

      @@TechIllusion-EN Yea. It might work better on lawns that are totally covered by trees where GPS guided robots fall short, other than that it feels still like an old tech. They could do much more with the camera, IMU and wheel sensors.

      Thank you for you feedback.
      Mowing robots are usually not supposed to cut high Gras. They mow every day and keep the Gras short so the cuttings an be better absorbed by the soil ;)

    • @JoeFoerster
      @JoeFoerster 6 месяцев назад +1

      Correct. I've been using a wired Landroid a couple of years now and it *maintains* the grass extremely well. But you have to mow with a regular mower one last time before you start to use it. The Vision is the same.

  • @JQ3GT

    That neon green boundary magnetic strip is ridiculous! My lawn merges with my neighbor's yard. It would be an eyesore to have all that neon green wire around the perimeter. It should have been GPS guided! I'll pass!

    • @TechIllusion-EN
      @TechIllusion-EN  22 дня назад

      @JQ3GT Many thanks for the feedback! That's definitely true, the robot mower is less suitable for larger properties with lots of open boundaries...

  • @engineernme3973

    Wireless is a lie for this Vision robot for most users. If you do not have a visually different boundary between your lawn and your neighbors, the robot will mow both lawns. If the lawn is continuous from yard to yard, you will need to create a boundary with a continuously magnetic strip. Most of the lawns in my city are boundaryless from neighbor to neighbor. The magnetic strip option is needed to separate the yards from one another. And the magnetic strips is EXPENSIVE! I think I would rather have the wire. Wire is cheap. Also, the magnetic strip will need raising every few years due to grass covering it and signal gets weak. There has to be a better way!

    • @TechIllusion-EN

      @engineernme3973 Thank you for the feedback!
      That's right. In the US, many front gardens are directly connected to each other.
      The robot is aimed at gardens with precise boundaries. Otherwise I would also advise against the robot...
      There are may other very good robots for that case.
      Best regards

  • @anthonyat2401
    @anthonyat2401 2 месяца назад +1

    It might have vision but it's stupid - and so are the designers. Most people have a front garden in the back garden, not nicely designed zones with a tiny path for robotic lawnmowers to traverse. It needs to be able to find its way between the gardens, not just over a path. I've had robotic lawnmowers for over 24 years; I won't be changing to this model.

      @@TechIllusion-EN Only because you haven't bothered to look at thousands of houses via Google Earth. 95% is conservative - almost everyone has a front garden, a house, then a back garden. Sometimes (bit not often) there is a small side garden. It's a major design omission in the Worx system.
