Glad it was useful, I’ve also got a series of videos on the channel where I build a couple of reaver titans, in those videos I cover pinning joints etc which isn’t something I did on this warhound due to the pose, could be useful if you’re going to do more than the stops up straight pose.
@ Okay I’ll have to check those out. Right now I’m using your build as a step by step guide which is really nice. The glue then green stuff then combine pieces after test fitting and marking is such a good idea. Also I’ve incorporated the cross hatch scoring on the models area before gluing on more basic kits and those stick together even better. Anyways thank you again, it’d be way way harder without any of these techniques and video demonstration
Awesome titan! Personally, I use 2 part JB Weld (not the quick dry stuff) instead of super glue and green stuff, but for the places that won't be load bearing, I find super glue works well. I did pin my titan more than you have. The leg joints and the hips, especially. I don't want this titan to move at all.
My reaver Titan that I’ve just built (still to paint) is full of pins, it’s probably a sensible route with big models like this, my warhound is still standing strong though.
This was great! I can't wait to see what this beast looks like after receiving the glorious gifts of everyone's favorite grandpa. :) Nurgle is the best!
thanks for the video here, i am looking at getting a chaos warhound at some point and turning it into a loyalist on through heavy conversion building and seeing this gives me a bit of an idea of the quest i am in for. while logically it would be much easier to buy a loyalist one and have less to do, i have the whole thing about repurposing chaos stuff into imperial stuff
That will certainly be a project! The brass edging design on the chaos Titan is much nicer than the imperial one so I can see why you’d do it. Filling in the ‘rot’ areas shouldn’t be too bad, I think the big challenge will be the cockpit shroud and the leg armour with the screaming face.
This was really helpful as I plan to get one in October when I visit Warhammer World and I have been planning the base and I know how I will paint it. Great vid.
@@adamshobbystuff thank you. I have AoS Mausoleum parts planned for the base as it’s called Necropolis Jackal. Going to be green and brown the same as my Corpsemakers Deathguard 🤭
@@adamshobbystuff I have a scale test with an Adeptus Titanicus Warhound and sprue parts for the walls so I have an idea of where to go. I don’t have Instagram but I’d like to show you the pictures.
That’s a great idea to test proof of concept, if you don’t do Instagram do you do Facebook? If you do why don’t you send a DM through there? Always up for looking at models!
I was actually in GW for 9 years, I spent a month at head office with the events team in 2005 ish before moving to Scotland to run the retail stores, I was helping to set up the now defunct gaming centres.
I do get your concern but with the flat build I’ve done on the feet it doesn’t seem to be an issue, I think I mention it in the vid that I did one in this way whilst I was still working at GW, I don’t own that one anymore but I still know the guy that does, that’s still ok, I left GW 16 years ago. That’s not to say it will always be OK, I take overly good care of my models and don’t game with them every week and he’s the same, could very much be worth pinning if you have concerns.
@@adamshobbystuff name dropping "i worked at GW" dont change the fact in the UK you guys dont deal with high temp variations of temperature and humidity ,the UK is a very very small area , in other places where you have temps of 1degree - 110 degree it plays hell on resin and ANY glue you use , now this is a prob if its just sitting now if you add in gaming it will cause more probs ,not pinning the feet is just bad advice , in truth the whole thing needs to be pinned but more so the feet ankles leg joints and hips
Fair enough points, I’ve never experienced resin in extreme heat or humidity, cold yes as we get alot of that in the uk, i am doing a Titan video in the future as picking up a larger one, I’ll make more of a point in that video about the pinning point/different considerations for countries and may even actually use pins due to it being a bigger mode. But genuinely for the conditions in the UK I’ve never had an issue with my method, the Titan in the video even got knocked off a gaming table whilst gaming and apart from a couple of paint chips escaped unscathed, I’ve transported it multiple times with no issue, not saying it would be good for everywhere though.
Definitely different conditions. Worth considering for future vids, in the summer of last year we hit 100 and a national emergency was declared as we just aren’t used to that, I remember it played havoc with my wet palette (no air con in uk houses generally) and spraying minis was also affected, not something I really think to mention.
This video is incredible. Thank you so much! It’s so daunting and other videos don’t cover it as well

Been building mine with the help of your guide during my 7 day covid quarantine, don’t know how I couldn’t have done it without this video !
Glad to be of help! Hope the COVID isn’t hitting you too hard.

Just finished nurgling it up, first layers of paint going on, looking good so far! Nurgle is the best 👍👍

Mausoleum parts should look great, in hindsight I kept it a bit too simple on the base, there’s always the next one though!

not pinning the feet is a huge mistake , your way might hold of 2-3 years but over time it will give due to weight of the top
