No, lol. The bat actually makes sense. He doesn't get those until S5-6. He obtains the bat in S1. The only other weapon that would make sense for S1-2 is an axe or a knife.

I can't complain too much about the character models, most of them do look pretty good for a low budget game Merle looks a bit different as does the Govenor and Carol especially but overall I'm happy Can't wait to see how diffent things could be for Merle and Govenor

I’m excited to be able to play Shane I’ve always liked his character and often wondered how he would have reacted to a lot of the problems the group encountered one thing for sure he would have let loose in season 3 especially if he was able to calm down and follow Rick would have been a great assist to the group. To confirm Rick is my favourite character with Shane a close second however I need to take the path of choosing Shane as the leader to see what it’s like so definitely picking Shane over Rick to see how the story pans out since I’ve always wondered what would Shane do.

I pray they get as many of the original actors as they can for the voicing😭😭They obviously cant get Hershel's actor because Scott is dead and they cant get Sophia or Carls actors because theyre too old, but they could at least get the other actors. Also their character models are worse than that one mobile game based off the show. Suffice to say, this game still has tons of work to be done before it releases.
It's possible that the reason the models looks so bad is that they didn't acquire the likeness for their faces so they had to do some changes like with Merle
the big thing with the game is if the decisions actually matter. From the trailer it looks like nothing will actually change as it shows shane killing rick than shane just giving ricks speech from a bit later so it seems like the characters will change but not the story

We cant really change much to begin with or we wouldn't get to the rick or shane decision. and than after the only real change will be how the prison ends and how/when people die.

I feel like you put too much faith in the game... look at the track record, TWD is never gonna make a really good graphic game like RDR2 or GTAV. If I was to be 100% honest with you, I am expecting the gameplay to also be ass... AMC's only purpose in making this game is for the story... What matters to me, and the only thing that matters to me is if the game's story is as flexible as they make it seem. For example... I decide I want to kill Rick as Shane... the rest of the game is Shane doing the same thing Rick did, saying the same thing Rick did, and nothing changes. That would be bad and an L of a game... But if I killed Rick as Shane and he had a whole new dialogue, and a whole new outcome to the story... like because Rick died, Lori survives, Tdog lives, or maybe he kills the governor right away. Big changes would happen in real life if Shane lived... I hope they make the option that BOTH rick and Shane can live. because if they both live and decide to move on... That would also change the story so much.
