I would say yes but it depends on your severity as to best treatment strategies. I see this commonly with PPPD. Are you familiar with this condition? If not here is a playlist with a ton of great information on PPPD ruclips.net/p/PLxFNCwzw2eJ2lwMMnqW7wyyfX9DSWgbkQ&si=dZspyBS8y-XoE-Zp
@@treatdizzinessathome2023 Thank you for your reply. My case is a little bit complex because I have MS and Charcot-Marie-Tooth with a history of optic neuritis and vertigo attacks in the past. I also have photophobia. For the past two years, I've developed chronic dizziness/PPPD symptoms with agoraphobia-like behaviors. I tend to avoid wide open spaces and busy environments because I'm terrified of the dizzy sensations I get when I'm in such places (to the point of getting panic attacks). I follow an MS-specific PT program + CBT (with EFT techniques) for my agoraphobia. Both approaches, when combined, include the same guidelines as you recommend (cardio, vor exercises, grounding, parasympathetic activation, gradual exposure). I may add optokinetic training to my gradual exposure/habituation steps.
$155 for the full hour but you get a full synopsis and personalized program after. Happy to hop on a call and explain the whole process. 😀 email at treatdizzinessathome@gmail.com
Tips for driving with PPPD? It's hard to participate more in your life when driving with this brings more anxiety.
