But no one is able to physically come back to planet earth and explain exactly what happens after one dies. So yes. I question it. Especially when I visit the cemetery. Life is complex. Dan taught me to embrace death. In It’s rarest form. I hope I have the courage as Dr. Dan does when my time comes.

The last office visit I had with Dan moved me. He gave me the biggest, warmest hug…..then I got in my car and Jim Croce‘s “Time in a Bottle” played on my stereo. I cried all the way home. I knew that something significant had just happened. This was about a year ago. I have been following Dan ever since and keeping him in my thoughts and prayers.

This is 100% heartbreaking! My mother passed similarly this way. To see it happen to Dan and so many others, its not easy. But love and God helped me through it.
I'm so glad Dr dan accepted Christ. He will be with Jesus in Heaven and he will have no more pain, no more cancer, no more skin sores, no more colostomy bag, and he will suffer no more. He will be in a completely restored body for an eternity. Not to get "religious" or anything, but his body will be completely restored and perfect in Heaven.

I was with my Mom when she passed from cancer at 44. At the end, she opened her eyes and a smile crossed her face. She gazed at the ceiling and asked, " what took you so long, I've been waiting for you." She closed her eyes and peacefully passed. Dan's memory will be a blessing.
I experienced the same. My grandfather didn’t know his brother had died the day before. But on his deathbed he saw him and spoke to him. It is hope of joy after the pain

I just wanna say… previously being in the Army. Stay with your brother. Someone can step in to take your place. The Army is big enough and resourceful enough to figure it out. Your brother and parents need you right now especially because you are a medical professional. There was a time in the past where I missed something similar many years ago and in hindsight I wish I had been there for my family. Please, just at least consider asking your commander. I only say this because moments like this are important for YOU. The Army will keep rolling along and doesn’t care about the who that you are. They will be ok trust me. Good luck man, let me know if I can help in anyway.

I am crying my eyes out now as I've followed Dr. Dan and watched his videos for a long time. He has helped so many people like me who are going through a cancer battle. Unlike Dan, I have not dealt with it bravely and am not strong with a good attitude. Watching his upbeat videos with him always smiling throughout his own tough journey has helped me tremendously. I am very sad knowing we will no longer be seeing his beautiful face and smile, but he has touched so, so many with his indomitable spirit and we'll never forget him.

True story..I had a patient once that was admitted for wound care of a decubitus ulcer. Mind you this woman was in advanced age and was unable to ambulate without the use of a wheelchair. I last checked on her around 12a and she was in bed sleeping. Less than 30 mins later this sweet woman came WALKING down to the nurses station without any assistance. Needless to say I have never moved so fast in my entire life to reach this lady before she fell. I asked her what she was doing walking the hall at midnight…she said her husband had come to get her and she was leaving with him and just wanted me to know. (Her husband had passed many years prior.) I assisted her back to her room and tucked her back in. She passed away in her sleep about an hour later. I will forever believe that my Heavenly Father prepares a place for us and that we are NEVER alone, even in our transition time from this earth. I don’t know who will be there for Dan as he passes but I do know it will be a wonderful reunion and he will be sitting at the foot of our Lord God in the twinkling of an eye. What a celebration. My prayers are with you and the family and Dan’s extended family of friends. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My mother passed at 47 from cancer, she was non verbal for 3 days prior and had the death rattle breathing. Before her last breath she said “it’s beautiful.” That was enough to tell me there is beauty and peace after this life. Ironically I am now 47 myself and it makes me value each day I have my health. I have been following Dr Dan from Australia for the past few years and his story is nothing less than inspiring. I wish him peace and I hope he leaves this world knowing what an incredible impact he made on so many people. If the world was full of more people with his strength, positivity and love of life, it would truly be a better place.

He may have his eyes closed right now, but he's doing a LOT right now getting ready for his journey home. When my mom was passing in 2008 of cancer, she opened her eyes after a series of different facial expressions and she looked around the room, at the ceiling and different spots. I asked her if there were people here that I couldn't see and she looked at me and nodded yes. It was one of my most precious moments with her. So Dan is preparing for his journey, little brother.

My dad passed away 2 weeks ago :(, in a fast pain free death caused by gastric cancer.. I am so so so so sad people have to go through this... My sister is battling stage 4 colorectal cancer and now has a blood clot in her leg and lungs, she had another scan yesterday and will get results Wednesday, she was diagnosed in October 2021, she has fought hard! She is declining and having quite a bit of pain.😔I really pray she doesn’t have to suffer!! Prayers for all of you!❤

There's something special about Dan, I see it in his eyes, in his smile and in his words. I can't explain it, but I check on him when I wake up and before I go to bed. Hugs and prayers to his Mom and family.
I experienced a miracle. I sat for hours at my moms side in her hospice room, so long that my recurring back spasms reappeared. I had my Dr call in my prescription (I was 4k miles from home) and I started to leave to pick up my prescription. When I got in my rental car, the GPS wouldn't work. I drove a short distance, hoping it would kick in, but no luck. I had to go back and get written direction from "the girls". One of the girls, Allie, saw me pull up and came out, and was drawing a map for me, and then Lexie came out and called for me to come inside immediately! My mom was taking her last breaths. I went in and actually laid in the bed with her, and held her at her last breath. I was not meant to leave at that moment. I'm 100% sure that the GPS failing was divine intervention. After this, the phone service returned and the GPS worked normally. I'm not a super Christian, but I DO BELIEVE and this day I was shined upon. ✝️

I’ve been an oncology nurse for 17 years. Cancer is the most evil thing I have ever seen. No respecter of social status, wealthy or poor, young or old. I’ve seen it steal so much from families. Even still I can’t get used to seeing loved ones die. I cry all the time. I tell them I can’t be strong, God just didn’t make me that way but I will hold them and cry with them. Just like now. I only stumbled upon Dr. dans channel a week ago. I’m trying to type this through tears now. I am so sorry yall are having to go through this. I’m praying for yall.
Not all cancers are the same, that's what makes it so difficult. On top of that, cancer research is severely underfunded. Lastly, medicine has gotten so incredibly politicized, and it's gotten worse in recent years.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18: "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." May God hold you all during this difficult time.

As I am sure you know, millions of our hearts are breaking right now as Dr Dan begins to pass on to heaven. Obviously God has bigger plans for Dr Dan and why he must leave us all at this point. What attracted me into watching Dan, Was his ability to constantly be positive, even when he's feeling poorly.His ability to transition from hey I'm dying ,but isn't it beautiful outside ?! and I just had some wonderful food. He always asked how WE WERE DOING. ❤ He always had such a calm aura about him, and with him there was always a silver lining somewhere, and he'd point it out like, " Hey I'm declining this is my last transmission, but look at this scenery behind me! And Im having a hard time getting around but I got the wall to hold me up" He appreciated everything,even his wall!I'm like gosh he's amazing!
He accepted Jesus as his savior. me and my kids prayed for this. I am so happy for his soul. he will have such a beautiful future in heaven and all the pandas in Christ will be reunited together. we love you Dr Dan and family.
There are two reasons I have followed Dan. 1. My father passed from Cancer, and I continue to educate myself on others who are struggeling with this disease. 2. I have NEVER known someone so positive in the midsts of adversity. He amazes me...always positive, always smiling and ALWAYS has hope for something better. What a blessing Dan has been to so many. I wish Dan a good journey. He is on his way. It might sound weird, but I think having Cancer is chance to recapitulate your life, your thoughts , development , people around you. Often you are surprised by the depth of friendships . Some patients experience a completely different outlook on the world or on special things. And most and for all you can sort of say "good bye" and design your last days. To me that´s a chance, everybody has to struggle with death , in fear or in a "cool" way, or like Dan. Wish him and his loved ones everything good they wish for.
Thank you for sharing Dan's last hours with us. It would be important for every living person to watch this, with or without illnesses. I shared the last hours together with my mom and elder sister. We need to build a closer and more open relationship with our and other's death, however hard it is.

At this stage it would be uncomfortable for him to eat and drink. He won't be able to process it. His body knows what it needs to do. I'm so glad he's comfortable. That's the most important thing now.

I was with my Mom when she passed from cancer at 44. At the end, she opened her eyes and a smile crossed her face. She gazed at the ceiling and asked, " what took you so long, I've been waiting for you." She closed her eyes and peacefully passed. Dan's memory will be a blessing.
I'm sure one of her beloved elders came to collect her ❤.

I just wanna say… previously being in the Army. Stay with your brother. Someone can step in to take your place. The Army is big enough and resourceful enough to figure it out. Your brother and parents need you right now especially because you are a medical professional. There was a time in the past where I missed something similar many years ago and in hindsight I wish I had been there for my family. Please, just at least consider asking your commander. I only say this because moments like this are important for YOU. The Army will keep rolling along and doesn’t care about the who that you are. They will be ok trust me. I am crying my eyes out now as I've followed Dr. Dan and watched his videos for a long time. He has helped so many people like me who are going through a cancer battle. Unlike Dan, I have not dealt with it bravely and am not strong with a good attitude. Watching his upbeat videos with him always smiling throughout his own tough journey has helped me tremendously. I am very sad knowing we will no longer be seeing his beautiful face and smile, but he has touched so, so many with his indomitable spirit and we'll never forget him.

True story..I had a patient once that was admitted for wound care of a decubitus ulcer. Mind you this woman was in advanced age and was unable to ambulate without the use of a wheelchair. I last checked on her around 12a and she was in bed sleeping. Less than 30 mins later this sweet woman came WALKING down to the nurses station without any assistance. Needless to say I have never moved so fast in my entire life to reach this lady before she fell. I asked her what she was doing walking the hall at midnight…she said her husband had come to get her and she was leaving with him and just wanted me to know. (Her husband had passed many years prior.) I assisted her back to her room and tucked her back in. She passed away in her sleep about an hour later. I will forever believe that my Heavenly Father prepares a place for us and that we are NEVER alone, even in our transition time from this earth. I don’t know who will be there for Dan as he passes but I do know it will be a wonderful reunion and he will be sitting at the foot of our Lord God in the twinkling of an eye. What a celebration. My prayers are with you and the family and Dan’s extended family of friends. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My older brother passed April 6, and I know how tough this is. I hope that he passes as quickly as possible, because he doesn’t deserve any of this suffering. What a great family he has ❤️
My mother passed at 47 from cancer, she was non verbal for 3 days prior and had the death rattle breathing. Before her last breath she said “it’s beautiful.”
That was enough to tell me there is beauty and peace after this life. Ironically I am now 47 myself and it makes me value each day I have my health. I have been following Dr Dan from Australia for the past few years and his story is nothing less than inspiring. I wish him peace and I hope he leaves this world knowing what an incredible impact he made on so many people. If the world was full of more people with his strength, positivity and love of life, it would truly be a better place.

He may have his eyes closed right now, but he's doing a LOT right now getting ready for his journey home. When my mom was passing in 2008 of cancer, she opened her eyes after a series of different facial expressions and she looked around the room, at the ceiling and different spots. I asked her if there were people here that I couldn't see and she looked at me and nodded yes. It was one of my most precious moments with her. So Dan is preparing for his journey, little brother.

My sister is battling stage 4 colorectal cancer and now has a blood clot in her leg and lungs, she had another scan yesterday and will get results Wednesday, she was diagnosed in October 2021, she has fought hard! There's something special about Dan, I see it in his eyes, in his smile and in his words. I can't explain it, but I check on him when I wake up and before I go to bed. Hugs and prayers to his Mom and family.
I experienced a miracle.
I sat for hours at my moms side in her hospice room, so long that my recurring back spasms reappeared.
I had my Dr call in my prescription (I was 4k miles from home) and I started to leave to pick up my prescription. When I got in my rental car, the GPS wouldn't work. I drove a short distance, hoping it would kick in, but no luck. I had to go back and get written direction from "the girls".
One of the girls, Allie, saw me pull up and came out, and was drawing a map for me, and then Lexie came out and called for me to come inside immediately!
My mom was taking her last breaths. I went in and actually laid in the bed with her, and held her at her last breath.
I was not meant to leave at that moment. I'm 100% sure that the GPS failing was divine intervention. After this, the phone service returned and the GPS worked normally.
I'm not a super Christian, but I DO BELIEVE and this day I was shined upon. ✝️

I’ve been an oncology nurse for 17 years. Cancer is the most evil thing I have ever seen. No respecter of social status, wealthy or poor, young or old. I’ve seen it steal so much from families. Even still I can’t get used to seeing loved ones die. I cry all the time. I tell them I can’t be strong, God just didn’t make me that way but I will hold them and cry with them. Just like now. I only stumbled upon Dr. dans channel a week ago. I’m trying to type this through tears now. I am so sorry yall are having to go through this. I’m praying for yall.

Not all cancers are the same, that's what makes it so difficult. On top of that, cancer research is severely underfunded. Lastly, medicine has gotten so incredibly politicized, and it's gotten worse in recent years.

What attracted me into watching Dan, Was his ability to constantly be positive, even when he's feeling poorly.His ability to transition from hey I'm dying ,but isn't it beautiful outside ?! and I just had some wonderful food. He always asked how WE WERE DOING. ❤ He always had such a calm aura about him, and with him there was always a silver lining somewhere, and he'd point it out like, " Hey I'm declining this is my last transmission, but look at this scenery behind me! And Im having a hard time getting around but I got the wall to hold me up" He appreciated everything,even his wall!I'm like gosh he's amazing!

There are two reasons I have followed Dan. 1. My father passed from Cancer, and I continue to educate myself on others who are struggeling with this disease. 2. I have NEVER known someone so positive in the midsts of adversity. He amazes me...always positive, always smiling and ALWAYS has hope for something better. What a blessing Dan has been to so many. It's beautiful when you see someone fulfill their calling so greatly. He is going to be missed by so many! Blessings to Dan and to your entire family and friends. ❣
I wish Dan a good journey. He is on his way. It might sound weird, but I think having Cancer is chance to recapitulate your life, your thoughts , development , people around you. Often you are surprised by the depth of friendships . Some patients experience a completely different outlook on the world or on special things. And most and for all you can sort of say "good bye" and design your last days. To me that´s a chance, everybody has to struggle with death , in fear or in a "cool" way, or like Dan. Wish him and his loved ones everything good they wish for.
Thank you for sharing Dan's last hours with us. It would be important for every living person to watch this, with or without illnesses. I shared the last hours together with my mom and elder sister. We need to build a closer and more open relationship with our and other's death, however hard it is.

At this stage it would be uncomfortable for him to eat and drink. He won't be able to process it. His body knows what it needs to do. I'm so glad he's comfortable. That's the most important thing now.
