INSIDE Abandoned Target STUCK IN THE 80S - Federal Way, WA

  • I have returned back to the abandoned Target in Federal Way, Washington. This time, I was able to explore an inside of the building by myself. The interior condition is way worse than I thought it was. Tons of vandalisms has taken over its place, of course thanks to the vandals. There are lot of ceiling tiles on the floor and in the second floor offices, there are a lot of garbages in some room. Not only that, it was creepy at first being on the inside and then I had the gut to investigate every room. Although I was being careful and had my respirator mask equipped for my safety as a priority making sure I don't breathe in something that is potentially harmful such as asbestos, molds, leads, etc. Aside from that, I’ve been wanting to know what the inside looks like for a while. This store opened in July 1988 and then in October 2004, they have moved to a new location at the mall.
Surprisingly, this place never got renovated over the years. I’d call it an old school on the inside! It reminds me of the movie Career Opportunities where they showed a scene of the Target. The store layout in the film looks exactly like this one. Aside from that, I’ve heard some news that this building is going to get torn down pretty soon. It is expected to happen in the late spring or early summer of this year. Once everything is razed, the land will be empty for probably few years until it gets redeveloped potentially new housings, retails, hotel, etc. Overall, it was a good time for me to document this unique-looking location before it’s long gone. You don’t see a lot of abandoned Target that often. This was certainly a rare find. A little info about this particular location, this is one of Washington’s initial six Targets. Yet, this is the final P86 model design within the state. In all seriousness though, I’m surprised that this store never got turned into a new business.
This was filmed on: March 26th, 2023.
NOTE: This building is now demolished.

The creepiest thing about this building was the feeling of people inside there with you. With all the trash and items, it’s very clear that there has been someone living there for a very long time. This is extremely creepy so I’m glad it’s being demolished.

@@cyberbrookk Dang, sorry you had to go through it with itchiness. It was a bit challenging for me to enter the vent but fortunately I wasn’t hurt. Somebody also told me that the back door near the loading dock got opened and later, the city came in and put the concrete block in the front door. It happened last year of June btw.
