I believe both have to thank each other man , Erin Is as good as her , he’s with her for 14 years I am sure he’s got great qualities too man ! It’s very easy to look At Emily’s beautiful looks and think Wow omg how lucky he is , I know he does he’s input , both are lucky indeed , he’s intelligent, kind and calm and I am pretty sure he’s also loyal so Emily gotta be grateful as much as Erin man , everybody have what they deserve that’s a fact of life . He’s got hot looking wife that can fix anything cos he deserves!
Yes! Aaron is truly a lucky guy. He has a woman that wrenches. A KILLER HOT woman, that wrenches! Aaron, i was younger, slimmer, and mildly better looking, I'd STILL have no chance with Emily! You are a blessed (or lucky) guy! steve
One of the things I love about this channel is the positivity. “Hey we’re on vacation and the pump broke. Oh well, let’s fix it.” Or “woo hoo, wedding anniversary, but dang our alternator went bad. Alright, let’s fix it and keep going.” Nothing seems to get you guys down!
You guys are like a breath of fresh air, First off your a adorable couple doing normal things enjoying life with no gimmicks, Take note sponsors! This channel is only growing, In today’s day and age it’s rare to see a successful couple congratulations on 14 years guys! And enjoy your time off ! Much love
Happy Anniversary! I am so glad that they ordered you a marine alternator. Never ever put an automotive alternator in a boat. The marine part is specifically designed to be sparkless, so if you have a fuel leak you wont explode. exploding is bad. That goes for the starter motor as well.
Found your channel a few days ago & have been checking out your videos. Quite a variety of things that are being taken on is part of my interest, wrenching, explaining what the projects are, fabricating, not editing out mistakes, family, puppy dog, and balancing a lot of manufacturers of cars/trucks to include most of us. An offer to get parts at a discount by mentioning your promo code - hey, IM IN. Thanks, John
Worked with a brokerage in Sunshine, AR - just west of Hot Springs. One of my clients was just South of Mt. Ida - his company built saw mills. Had a family boat and we spent many hours on Ouachita! Could have been neighbors. It is a thrill to me to see a couple so well suited for each other. Even the pup is laid back and seemingly unflappable. Look forward to all y'all's adventures. Keep smiling...
I work on boats at a huge marina. One thing a mechanic must always have is a telescopic magnet. That way you don’t have to try to reach impossible places under the motor if you drop something. The tension pulley on Mercruiser uses a 5/8” for the jam nut and a 5/16” on the adjustment stud. Get a cheap set of SAE and Metric wrenches and sockets so you have the exact right size. Keep them in the boat at all times. I think it’s great you two are willing to tackle any problem yourself.
I love this couple. What a positive attitude they always have. They make a great team. You are 1 lucky guy my friend to have such a beautiful lady by your side.
Hi... Tip about boats battery... The battery selector (With alternative 1 2 and All) should always be on All when driving engine on! And when you stop engine and wanna use battery for lights and more in the evening /night you switch the selector to 1 or 2 (depending on which of the batteries you use for lights in the evening and night). And next day when You wanna start engine and drive away you turn the switch into ALL again and start it.... You have namely then only used 1 battery over night and kept the other for starting engine! And always choose ALL on the selector when engine runs so that both batteries charges!!! Ok...Hope this solves and helps issues for life 🙂 Nice channel! Keep it up! Love it! Michael, from Sweden Europe
Emily there is no such thing as that away on a boat. It's either Bow, Port, Starboard, or Stern. Forward is going toward the bow of the boat, and aft toward the stern. Happy Anniversary! Oh and did I mention that you look really lovely as always. 😃
I still blame you guys- this boating thing looked like so much fun we had to try it- we are now the proud owners of the littler brother to your boat- really appreciate learning what and how to repair things- sorry for your problems but we are learning a lot.
Super nice video of a great couple doing what they love together. (The 2 shall become as one) and this is a prime example of what those words mean. Thank you for your time and letting us all into your lives.
Love the enthusiasm you have for life and adventure. Lake Oachita has been my favorite lake destination since my childhood vacations in the 70’s. Our families would gather at Brady Mountain campground for two weeks of camping, fishing, skiing, swimming, crystal hunting and berry picking. You have inspired me to begin shopping for a cabin cruiser of our own!
We just bought a 1996 285. Can’t wait to cleaned up. She was parked since 2020. Drive overhauled new carburetor and runs awesome. But needs a good polishing 😋😍 greetings from Germany. Thanks for the cool videos
You named it, "Break out another thousand memories." Love boating and even fixing them on the weekend from time to time is bonding time with friends and family. 😀
I highly recommend hitting all the connections and even fuses you can with dielectric grease. Being on the water causes a lot of corrosion, which in turn causes a bad connection. I’ve had to learn this one the hard way unfortunately. Love the channel. Happy anniversary
Had the exact same problem on my 71 Buick Skylark last night. It died while my son was driving it on the local freeway. Got the truck and trailer out and picked up the car and brought it home. Found the exact same connector loose when i worked on it later. Just tightened it up and all works again.
U two make a bad situation not so bad I really do enjoy your videos and thank God you guys have each other and a wonderful family that you have in your life
Great attitude. Problems, minor, "building memories together" makes for special times. Love your channel. Happy anniversary and may you have many many more.
A quick rap on the alternator with a hammer will wake up the brushes and oftentimes it will charge normally. I'd say offhand that the loose hot terminal was the culprit though, give it your best shot and you will be back on the water in no time! Also glad you guys had a nice anniversary meal in town. Love your video content, it's always refreshing to watch and your back & forth banter is great! Enjoy your anniversary, this is what stories are made of! Be safe!
FYI guys, you can check your alternator by running the motor and disconnecting the positive battery cable from the battery. If the motor continues to run your alternator is fine. If motor stalls obviously your alternator is shot. I don't know about Advance Auto but Autozone can and will test your alternator for free.
A smile that's prettier than a thousand sunsets, hands that like to wrench, and a great Arkansas attitude towards life's little vicissitudes... Don't wake me up ;-)
Great job taking out the alternator with the tools you have. May I suggest investing in a 150-200 piece tool set to keep in the truck. I've had the same one in every car I owned for the last 20 years and it has helped me change many of my broken bits and some stranded motorists. Thanks for all the great content and smiles! You guys have great taste in toys. Also, great square body blazer shirt!
I also love the positivity of this channel but I wanted to comment about the blower as I have had many boats over the years. The blower is only really needs to run for about 5 to 10 minutes before starting you don't have to run it during operation. Just an FYI for guys.
I didn't think Angels existed until I saw this. Replacing an alternator whilst picking up a socket with your foot. Aaron, you must have done something good in a previous life. You guys are such a genuinely nice couple. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely way to spend a birthday/anniversary. Two beautiful souls sharing their journey with us, awesome. Looking forward to tour new channel as well. Best wishes to you both from Australia.
My husband and watch you channel one time when you first bought the boat since then my husband wanted a boat so he bought a bayliner our first boat we love you guys boat hopefully we can be lucky to own one some day God bless you both ❤
A feel good channel... Sweet ... I like this alot. We always forget it's sometimes a small risk like that boat that can make your life alot happier . So guys you know what to do 😉
Happy Anniversary. Every married day takes effort on all parties involved. In the end it is truly worth it. Your a beautiful couple Looking forward to another 14 years!
This channel is great. They are so positive. How could anyone give this a thumbs down? Jealous haters I guess. Ignore them, and keep the adventures coming.
I’m stoked! More boating adventures and a new YT channel featuring Aaron’s cooking…how awesome is that! Checked descriptions below and no link yet to your new channel, but did see that you all have a Patreon page and I’m considering becoming one of your Patreon. You guys always have great content! Thanks! :0)
I'll be honesty, "wrenchin," never seemed to be a huge chore while on our boat. We always tried to keep an alternator, belt, prop and impeller on the boat with us. We never needed them if we were prepared. Keep smiling and enjoy the heck out of that boat.
I've used your coupon code twice and saved a lot of money. Bought a Hypertech Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmer and a Dynomax 3" mandrel bent SS tailpipe for my Silverado 1500 to connect the Flowmaster Super 40 muffler that was installed.
Hey, I'm not much into powerboats - being an old sailor, but I like your easy-going ways and how you both pitch in and get the job done. I don't think you both realize what a rare thing you both have going on. Here's wishing you guys happy motoring and many fond memories.
Hi guy. I just ran in to your guy video. Episode you just bought the big boat. I love it just how you guy step into the unknown of the boat owner. You guy making it look so easy. I love to watch you guy videos. Thank you for posting owsome videos.

Nothing much better than enjoying a few nights on the boat, except maybe a good battery and working alternator. Lol. $15/night. Unheard of up here in the Great Lakes. Thank you for another fun vid! 🍻
I love DIY boaters. That Lake Ouachita looks huge. No wonder you said if it take two days to get back. lol. I'd suggest getting AGM batteries. They last like 5-7 years.
Glad the alternator turned out to be okay, As for your new battery, I remember back when DieHard batteries were a Sears product, and if you bought the DieHard Gold for your vehicle and you had a dead battery, the warranty was so good that for the first 2-years Sears would send a tech' to bring you a loaner battery, and they would take yours back and test it and if it was still good they'd charge it for you and then have you stop by so they could swap it back into your vehicle and get their loaner battery back, and if the battery turned out to be bad they'd give you a new one, and if it was within the first 2-years it was at no charge to you. The small wire is the excitation, that means that the regulator is external. If you jump 12 volts to the excitation input, you should get full output to the battery if the alternator is good internally..
New subscriber. Love the videos. When you own a boat, you always have to be prepared to take things in stride. Stuff happens! But it’s all fun and learning how other people deal with issues is always a great learning experience 😊
We just bought a 1982 Sea Ray 21' Cuddy Cabin from a Songwriter in Nashville. Its in Great Shape. Like your channel. Did you name the boat/yacht yet. I called my wife 31 years ago and said I needed to get married or buy a boat and live on for a deduction. I got married, but I got my boat after 31 years. I naming our boat "FINALLY". Have a goood day, Y'all. Live in TN but Texans at heart.
That looks like a GM CS alternator. They have a solder joint inside that will melt in hot weather. The solder drips on the rectifier and shorts it out. I pulled a bunch of them and had them rebuilt and local rebuilder replaced the problem part with a welded unit. When the rectifier goes bad it will make a high pitch whining noise
Love watching your channel. There is always a smile on your face and that is beautiful. The talents, both you and Aaron have, are a great combination. Love the pup too!
My wife and I got married in her parents back yard in Orlando in 1998. It was April and already hot as hell. My wife's grandmother lived on the same street. True to form, her ac went out and you wouldn't dream of being a little uncomfortable or go to your daughter's house to get ready. (Old people). My dad was a journeyman lineman and hvac tech. He sent my father-in-law to an ac jobber to get a hard start kit and he installed it, in his tuxedo pants, shirt and shoes, 2 hours before the ceremony. I grew up fixing other people's junk my whole life. It just seemed to follow him.
The luckiest man alive Aaron. A gal that is "WOW" and likes to wrench on stuff! Dude you need to thank her everyday for being so great!
I believe both have to thank each other man , Erin Is as good as her , he’s with her for 14 years I am sure he’s got great qualities too man ! Good deal having a spouse that will dive right in and help. Awesome
This Aaron dude is living the dream. His wife is a knockout, cute, happy and positive. Lucky man.
ETA!
I don't think Emily knows how to not smile. She's 100% sunshine all the time. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us.
I think aaran knows how not to smile.
He is lucky; she is always smiling and in such a positive attitude
I love the fact you guys don’t let all the break downs stop you from having a good time.
One of the things I love about this channel is the positivity. “Hey we’re on vacation and the pump broke. Oh well, let’s fix it.” Or “woo hoo, wedding anniversary, but dang our alternator went bad. Alright, let’s fix it and keep going.”
Nothing seems to get you guys down!
Growing up in a family with a boat, fixing something on it each time when went out was the norm.
You guys are like a breath of fresh air, First off your a adorable couple doing normal things enjoying life with no gimmicks, Take note sponsors! This channel is only growing, In today’s day and age it’s rare to see a successful couple congratulations on 14 years guys! And enjoy your time off ! Much love
Thanks to both of you for not using Crazy Drama as the content....
Happy 14th anniversary guys! 2 words, Telescoping magnet. Keep in the boat tool box. Comes in handy for those hard to reach places!
Happy Anniversary! I am so glad that they ordered you a marine alternator. Never ever put an automotive alternator in a boat. The marine part is specifically designed to be sparkless, so if you have a fuel leak you wont explode. exploding is bad. That goes for the starter motor as well.
Being able to fix your own stuff is such a blessing. It allows us to have things that we could not afford if we had to pay for the maintenance.
You damn right
I love how you all keep pressing on having a good time no matter what comes up.
Happy Anniversary!

One lucky guy. She's definitely a keeper. Down in there working like a pro. And such a happy personality. Also fun watching your videos.
Word for the wise! Always check your connections! As my Dad told me,always start at the source when troubleshooting.
Ive never seen a lady jump in and do that, WOW she is a Blessing.
I wish I had a helper like here your a lucky man

Congratulations on your 14th! Good for you guys and both have love of "engines"! 😁🤠
Glad yall have been enjoying the boat. I've been loving mine
Lake Ouachita is great cabin cruiser water! Probably one of the nicest in the country.
Enjoy!
Thanks. It's always nice to see you.
Happy Anniversary! You deserve all the happiness that comes your way.
love your boat videos, and the positive vibe on your channel. Thank you.
Enjoy your optimism and positive attitude when faced with adversity.

Even on their anniversary trip they manage to find ways to bring us great mechanicin content
A great mechanic would have checked before launch or at least found the loose wire while on the water..
Hi guy.
I just ran in to your guy video. Episode you just bought the big boat. I love it just how you guy step into the unknown of the boat owner. You guy making it look so easy. I love to watch you guy videos. Thank you for posting owsome videos.
That's how it goes something when you are a boater !!! Keep your chin up. Always a adventure. A bad day at the lake is better than a good day at work.
Hi Emlly & Aaron
always works to do on a boat ! ............connections inspection !
for battery connexions , when tighten , I usualy put some grease to avoid corrosion ( boat => damp )
have a nice day
stay healthy
Nothing much better than enjoying a few nights on the boat, except maybe a good battery and working alternator. Lol. $15/night. Unheard of up here in the Great Lakes. Thank you for another fun vid! 🍻
I love DIY boaters. That Lake Ouachita looks huge. No wonder you said if it take two days to get back. lol. I'd suggest getting AGM batteries. They last like 5-7 years.
Awesome video. Boat videos are even better when there’s something that needs repairing.
And after the first 2-years, they would pro-rate it.
Why didn't you have the alternator tested while you had it off?
i just watched in april 24, was windering same thing, surprised the auto parts didnt suggest testing it.Not a good parts store.
They probably did test it at Store, just forgot to mention it.
Aaron, you and Emily are the best. 😊
You two make a great team! Happy Anniversary!!
That's crazy 2find a loose pwr wire aye? Mechanical diagnosis &repairs can b unpredictable even4 experts.
That alternator wake up on reinstall along w/the grilled salmon made up 4it though. It had 2b tricky capturing all that 4us. Thanks!
The small wire is the excitation, that means that the regulator is external. If you jump 12 volts to the excitation input, you should get full output to the battery if the alternator is good internally..

A great woman with a great attitude.👍
That looks like a GM CS alternator. They have a solder joint inside that will melt in hot weather. The solder drips on the rectifier and shorts it out. I pulled a bunch of them and had them rebuilt and local rebuilder replaced the problem part with a welded unit. When the rectifier goes bad it will make a high pitch whining noise
Love watching your channel. There is always a smile on your face and that is beautiful. The talents, both you and Aaron have, are a great combination. Love the pup too!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Guys!
I love your channel and videos! You guys are so much fun! Please keep it coming!
love the boat stuff!! lake guy here so nice to see lake life cruise videos.
