Hi. Great video. There's no much info and you made the video I needed. I just have 2 questions. Do you get a clean hdmi signal? I mean without battery or display info or menu info in the video signal? I need to plug it into my video capture and get a clean full hd signal for streaming. Second, does it support usb powering with no battery in? I will use it for long sessions. I don't mean recording but liveview trasmiting what the cam sees just to the capture card. I don't want it to have a battery problem so I would plug a usb power hub to it. Is my setup possible with this little but powerfull cam? It's mostly for studio purposes. Exact same thing you do in the video. Thanks for your time.
yes its clean hdmi from the sony - you need to select LIVE on the sony camera menu. You wills need the battery in the Sony, but you can power off the USB and a powerbank or wall charger while you livestream
@@Juanparomaruk i just did a quick google search and it looks like the iphone will support a usb webcam so this setup seems like it should work…. im not sure tho
i will run some tests on the sony action cam next week - you fans have came up with a few good questions. lately i have been just plugging the sony fdr x3000 direct to an ATEM Mini so i will do some direct connection to hdmi this week
I have the Sony HDR-AZ1 and the charge/data port is the same witch is an Micro USB can you recommend an Micro USB to HDMI Cable that would work for this setup please :) If it would even work at all?
Never mind i was quick to the gun cannot use this camera because its no HDMI Out as you enplaned rip wish i had seen this video before i brought the HDR-AZ1

@@mudbrats i watch the whole video but it doesnt show mobile app or how to stream using mobile phone. i would like to walk about and stream during walking and this cam is wide enough and stable to do so instead of using built in mobile phone camera.
Sorry I misunderstood the question. I am not sure if its as simple as getting a cord that goes from mini HDMI to your iphone (Lighting or USB-C) and then you could log into streamyard on your phone... cant be sure tho, I have never tried it

Yes - thats the setup I am running here.... Select the gopro as the camera in the Streamyard setting (or zoom, or skype etc)

@@mudbrats I would be easier, the only thing is It’s very noticeable and the Sony camera is so small and unpredictable and nobody can see it

Not with this camera unless ya u had a long HDMI cord. You would need a camera with rtmp streaming capabilities

i am not sure about android - i see a few android hdmi adapters on amazon but very low review rating so highly doibtful that they will help

Can you do a in depth video of all your helmet camera equipment and mic set up for when you are riding? Couldn't find one.
I didnt do one. Its taken me years to get the sound right figuring it out, spending tons of money with my setup so I hold it pretty tight to my chest

this should - you just need to confirm which hdmi out is on the camera - micro or mini...
