We visited Dennis in 2021 and found plenty to explore and enjoy! Follow us to Corporation Beach and Mayflower Beach on Cape Cod Bay on the north side of Dennis. And join us for behind-the-scenes visits to exceptional local businesses like Scargo Cafe, East Dennis Oyster Farm, Ice Cream Smuggler, Cape Abilities Farm, Three Fins Coffee Roasters, and Stage Stop Candy.
West Dennis Beach in Dennis Port is one of the best beaches on Cape Cod. It stretches for over a mile and is perfect for long walks and water sports. You also have the popular, paved Cape Cod Rail Trail begins in Dennis and stretches for 25 miles to Wellfleet.

Our ancestor; John Hall, (b. 1611-12) had a farm in Dennis! He came from England in John Winthrop's 11 ship fleet in 1630. Beautiful place. Thank you!

My husband and I really need to take our long over due belated honeymoon getaway, and we finally have money. We’re looking for the cheapest time of the year to stay and cheapest bed and breakfast. Dennis is beautiful. Dennis Port is one of the gems of all of Cape Cod. Most say that the 'bay side' of Dennis is a little 'honky tonk'...but I don't think that's true...it's just that you need to drive everywhere. Where Dennis Port has a more 'beachy village feel' to it. If you park your car...you can basically do everything on foot for the entire weekend! Enjoy!

My Dad's sister had a cottage that we would rent. It was not very far from the Sea Street Beach. That's where we learned how to swim in Salt water. There use to be a fsrmstsnd on Lower County Road plus a Pizza shop.

@@wherenexttravel My parents had a friend who lived in Dennis. She was a artist. It was Dennis Port where her cottage was. It was 2 bedrooms and I slept on the pullout bed. Small bathroom and a outdoor shower. It was fun.

If you're planning on vacationing in dennis please remember to stay covid safe, by wear your mask and get the vaccine if available. The median age of Dennis residents are elderly people who are susceptible to the virus. Also just remember to be cautious of other people and locals while out in public. Have a great vacation!!!
Nothing about West Dennis Village? I saw O'Shea's and Christmas Tree Shop...... but somehow the village was missed!

Just remember to bear in mind that princess beach is residents only during the summer

I’m hoping to relocate to Dennis from New York in the near future! Would anyone recommend living here?
We loved our time in Dennis. We found it to be very relaxing and the people were very friendly. Thats said, we are not locals so hopefully some locals will chime in. :)
How can you talk about Dennisport and not mention the Kreme 'n Kone. Best fried clams on the Cape. And what about Fritz' Glass Works? And, finally, Sundae School.

How much is it to stay there during their off season?
We stayed during the off season and it was certainly more affordable than in the high season. Depending on where you are wanting to stay, it never hurts to ask for a reduced rate because its the off season. Just be aware, many of the shops and restaurants are closed during the quiet season, however on the flipside, you have Acadia pretty much to yourselves! We loved it!
