This brings me back to the 80's when my dad bought me an RC-10 with the aluminum chassis. Before that, I had a Grasshopper. What fun! Great video! Brings back memories.
Thank you for sharing! Great job on the filming and editing. The action follows the music beautifully. I can't believe you used a shelf queen for that!!! I am impressed.
great vid of the clod buster..one of the trucks i so wanted when i was younger..I still got a lunchbox and a mini from ounger days which still get taken out for a play on weekends.
The most important R/C vehicle every produced from any mfg. I still remember the day I opened mine with my dad back in 1987-88. No have SCB ready to be built!
Back when I first got into RC racing, I thought Clodbusters were a stupid waste of money. Twenty years later, when I dug out my old racers, I thought "Hey! I can finally afford a Clodbuster!" Oh,but too many projects. Had to get that YZ10 I coveted so long, first.
This video is just awesome, but I would like to see a better quality version of it, so could you by any chance upload it again in higher resolution? Thanks! :)
Thats some good filming dude!... great angles!...I noticed at one point the body is a "crew cab"...never seen one like that....really cool man!....does your CB go thru batteries as fast as mine?...2 batteries in 5 minutes?...mine is bone stock...maybe time to upgrade electroncs?
The Clodbuster was probably the third or fourth hobby grade monster truck made. Tamiya started production on it back in early 1988, that's also when I bought mine. It soon became the most popular rc monster truck made. For about 11 years they had a steady increase in popularity and aftermarket parts. In 1999 Traxxas came out with their T-Maxx that would outperform a Clodbuster even with thousands of dollars in performance upgrades, trust me, this comes from personal experience. Than just 2 years later the E-Maxx came out with a driver controlled 2-speed transmission. It declined in popularity after this but still holds a cult following. I have had my Clodbuster modified with a four-link and all the aluminum parts , hand-wound motors and enough voltage to hit over 30 mph. But every time I took it out it would brake something. It was only made to do 10 mph from the factory. I eventually detuned it to just under 20mph. And as long as I stay in the dirt and don't glue the tires down, it it don't brake. So for the long response. And don't take me wrong, it's an awesome truck, but I've seen all the good stuff for this truck come and go, plus I've had my Clod in sooooo many configuration with literally hundreds of miles on it ,I know what it can do in any circumstance that it's lost it's appeal for me over the last 26 years. But it makes a great shelf queen. But it deserves it.

Nice video.
No Problems, maybe the extra servo for the MSC might suck up more? otherwise maybe the batteries lost its charge, hope that helps

Great video for a great truck! I would love a CB in it's original guise.
I have an oldschool ClodBuster in my garage that i've been meaning to take a look at and maybe bring it up to modern standard. Is your's all stock?
I should of kept all my stuff when I was a kid. My kids would be like what the hell?
sand, very forgiving on the body (catching rear full of sand) but killer on the bearings! lol
1:49 4 DOOR CLOD!!!!! FUCK YEA!
Had one of these back in the day. Fun build and fun truck, but the batteries sucked.. decided to sell it. Another regret on the long list.
and the suspension too
the fourlinks also broke
all of my want
I'm buying one. Can wait to drive it than modify it
it is a REAL monster
Why can't we watch in the uk
you are pretty ignorant for that statement in your description. I couldn't finish watching this video and I have 2 clods and a TXT-1
song?
Thanks to the Blackfoot these clods wouldn't be here today!
