Sir I am literally from Latpanchar & I appreciate for your photography & Suraj is one of the best guide in Latpanchar!I generally take Bookings for Latpanchar/Sittong Homestays!Thank you for visiting our place And hope you may visit us again!❤️
A very nice vlog...just a couple of things- I may be wrong but I think in case of Great hornbills males have red coloured eyes whereas the females have white ones...Second thing is did you get Kanchenchunga view near Sittong/Chatakpur?
Crisp and clear as the mountain aura your pictures and cinematography and thanks for introducing Suraj bhai..and you are bang on target regarding a reformed hunter turning into the best guide and conservationists,it's sad to hear about the declining population of the vultures, surely there must be some ways in banning that medicine used in cattles.🙏
Love it, one of the best video have seen in RUclips, thanks, I'm a student of Environmental science and this type of video makes my day, I want more videos like this.❤❤
I am planning to visit Latpancher coming April 2020. really liked the Bird Dedicated videos and your ethical photography. Thanks .... I will try to connect Mr. Guide
April-may is the nesting season for them. Thats when you will see them at latpanchar. If you visit early in jan- feb you can spot them at Mahananda wls which is at a lower altitude but not far from there. Let the guide know your target species and they will make the best plan for you.
Sir ..I saw a blue and purple colour bird with yellow beak in Baikathapur forest nepali basti. Siliguri. I have never seen this birds in any record.can you tell me about the bird
Its very difficult to say exactly what bird it was just by knowing the colour. To appropriately describe a bird you must mention the size of the bird like sparrow size/ mynah size or pegion size or bigger and its habitat . Siliguri is a birding hotspot and you will see a lot of birds this time as the winter migration has started.try to photograph the bird with whatever camera/phone you have. Try searching for Violet cuckoo images on Google and check if that is your bird, because purple-blue- yellow beak combination is not quite common.
Every homestay offers you with professional guides. Otherwise you can contact Suraj he is a very dedicated guide, his contact is provided in the video.

I ve been there for twice.. spotted 20 different types of bird.. but never seen any horbill. your were so lucky to having Himalayan Griffon.. RNHornbill male.. broadbill.. GFleafbird.. Scops Owlet.. great.. my snaps were.. GHCanary Flyctchr.. Longtailed and scarlet minivet... rufous sibia.. Geen magpie.. burn swallow.. wagtails.. accentor.. rufous nped babbler...shirikes.. tits.. thrushes.. Crstd Srpnt Eagle... Eurasian sparrows.etc.. I try to film with a tripod but its not always possible to set a tripod after spotting a bird, so some clips are shot handheld.
