As I work under forest deptt. and posted at pangolakha wildlife sanctuary for last five years and I was literally unaware and as well as not so interested in signifying birds...now by watching ur videos made me little bit ashamed of myself ..and also got some interest to know more about birds...and for that thanks to you sir..... Loved ur channel.... Pls come visit our sanctuary again.. Hope to travel with u in future to know more about birds...once again thank you
Nice to hear from you. I will surely come..I have to visit Lungthu and Nathang region again for making videos and enjoying nature. I will plan somewhere in May in coming years.
Congratulations on a well made video. Enjoyed it. And yes…..birders need to spread more awareness about keeping these few remaining places unspoilt. Have seen how tourist spots in the Himalayas have been degraded beyond repair.
Beautiful video! Enjoyed a lot. Loved the last point of us being sustainable tourists. I, too observed a lot of plastic pollution when I went to Arunachal for a trip. Made a point of carrying our own water bottles and filling it up locally. Also, putting all of our plastic waste in a large bag and disposing it at a larger town/city. Fantastic documentation. May I know the name of birding guide and his contact for these places? Thank you.
at zuluk we stayed in zuluk residency, in Padamchen we stayed at a retired army man's home. cant recall the name, it may be Rinchenpo homestay if i am correct.
It is a wonderful video and a real treat to watch. Please let me know 2 things. 1. What types of birds can be found if someone visit in Nov/Dec. 2. Where to stay to do birding here apart from Padamchen?
1. The types of birds are same throughout the year..except for some migratory birds in winter. But their activity is very high in April May as it is the mating season...thus chances of viewing them is also high then in their bright plumage.. 2. U can stay at Zuluk, lungthu and nathang for high altitude birding
Wonderful video. A treat to watch. Planning a trip in Zuluk in last week of Febuary for Monal and blood phesants. Your advice on the same will be really helpful
Thanks..it will be cold..if it snows, the monals usually come down in altitude to upper Zuluk areas also. but the road conditions will determine whether you can reach areas like Lungthu & Nathang.
Amazing video...just loved it.. Kindly mention where are the places and homestays you stayed, their details please and if you had any guide during this birding tour.. How many days tour...Thanks in advance.. :)
Depending on the weather the birds also will varry their altitude. Anytime is good. It is just that during April May they become more active for the mating season
Superb video supported with apt narration and awesome photographs. Planning to visit this area for birding in April. What are the chances of Blood Pheasant sighting? Thanks
See April May is usually the best because it is the mating season and bird's plumage is beautiful at that time. They display wonderful colours. Activity is also very high at that time.
you will not be able to cover the area on foot. hence, hiring a car is necessary or you may take share vehicle with other tourists. local guides are also available. we went through an agency "Going Wild" focusing on birding tours.
Birds in India is an encyclopedia that needs to be reviewed and definitely a trip

Glad you enjoyed it!
Birds don’t have border restrictions, why do we have? Love & respect from Bangladesh for the tremendous work.💞👌🙏
very valid point...the more intellectual we become...the more divisions we start creating amongst ourselves.

@@ArijitSen so per your advice Lungthu and Nathang will be the target area for Monal?
is there any decent place to stay in Lungthu/Nathang ?
No...nathang is not the place for monal...in lungthu there is good chance in summer months..but in winter it varies between Zuluk and lungthu area
Only homestays
D.Ash is an ace birder..!! He led the tour I guess?
Yes..he was with me in May 2016 phase..he is my good friend and classmate back in college.
Hi Buddy amazing Details. I need few details on the Bird Guide.
I went along with Going wild tour agency where my friend Dibyendu did the guiding. you can check out their website. it is a good one
Amazing video...just loved it.. Kindly mention where are the places and homestays you stayed, their details please and if you had any guide during this birding tour.. How many days tour...Thanks in advance.. :)
Thanks for the details and beautiful video. Is it the right time to visit during first week of December ?
Depending on the weather the birds also will varry their altitude. Anytime is good. It is just that during April May they become more active for the mating season
Superb video supported with apt narration and awesome photographs. Planning to visit this area for birding in April. What are the chances of Blood Pheasant sighting? Thanks
Thanks..I did not get to see it..but there are good chances that you may find blood pheasant here near zuluk
Love your work. Which lens would you recommend to pair with Nikon D7500? Tamron 150-600mm G2 or Nikon 200-500mm? Thanks
both are good....u can pick any
Hi sir this is Dr Bala. Can you suggest any birding guide for this part of Sikkim
You may contact going wild tour agency...mr Dibyendu Ash +917003389381...he is my friend and partner in this company. I went on tours with him

Tamron 150-600
I want to know how to go pangolekha from zukuk
zuluk is inside Pangolakha wildlife sanctuary
Do you any guide for birding there?
In which month Monal & Wiesal was filmed.
They were captured in the month of May 2016...
@@ArijitSen thank you
What are the staying places and options during both the tours?
What is the best time to visit for birding?
See April May is usually the best because it is the mating season and bird's plumage is beautiful at that time. They display wonderful colours. Activity is also very high at that time.
I want to visit this place . But which time is better.
If you want to go for birding, then best time is April May, as it is the mating season and the birds are in breeding plumage.
What's about guide and total cost for two persons? Is it necessary to hire a personal car for the entire trip?
you will not be able to cover the area on foot. hence, hiring a car is necessary or you may take share vehicle with other tourists. local guides are also available. we went through an agency "Going Wild" focusing on birding tours.
@@ArijitSen thank you. How to contact with the agency? Are you satisfied with them?
@@shubhramukherjee5773 yes satisfied..u can check their website...www.goingwild.in
Hi, Can this place be visited in the first week of March?
Yes you can, but it will depend on how much snowfall is taking place. If road is blocked, then you will not get permit to go to lungthu, nathang
