Amezing Fantastic deligtful activities of grassland birds and other animals captured by you after very hard efforts. Hats off to your efforts. Thanks for sharing for the benefit of nature lovers like me.
I try to find out habitats that needs conservation, the sole purpose of this video is to save the Grassland and the animals... Thanks for the appreciation 😊
Excellent video, excellent commentary, nice photography.....it's like a discovery channel.... animal planet.... great pleasure while watching this..... quails and short eared owls are amazing 👍👍 keep it up
Hi, amazing clip. We just spend 24 hrs in Saswad and were mesmerised by it's beauty. Hope to return for a longer time to explore the entire region. Your clip gives a lot of info about the grasland. Thanks. Badri
Amazing documentary... Had a couple of dry runs in Saswad ghats in search for eagles.. It surely helps in guiding the location and correct way... Kudos
Hello from USA. Great visuals and excellent basic tutorial on video . I must try since we are planning to produce documentary in India on birds. Thanks for sharing and I am your follower now onwards. All the best , Sir..
There is no entry gate or any designated area at Saswad.. You can visit jejuri, around bhuleshwar temple, mankeshwar temple in waghapur, amble gaon And the proposed site for airport popularly known as saswad factory.. If you want to see the chinkaras visit mayureshwar WLS..
Awesome. You have shown a lot of patience in this birding trip. I can see a lot of research in studying their behavior and capturing it in camera. It appears that you may have covered a lot of these areas on foot. If yes, then commendable. What was the camera and lens settings for this trip?
Hi, I often visit a friends farm in the kambre region and was surprised to see a female buck the other day. An amature birder we see many birds we can't yet identify. Besides being informative you have opened my eyes to a biodiversity that I did not know existed or was classified into grasslands. Is it the Rocky topography that prevents trees from flourishing? Loved the footage of the Bengal fox and the wide shots showing the expanse. maybe will join you sometime on your birding trails
Thanks for watching. Kambre is a place near lonavla I guess. I do not have much knowledge about what bird or animal to expect in that region apart from Amur falcon and lesser kestrel. would definitely like to explore. Yes the topography and scarcity of water for most of the year has restricted the number of plant species that can survive. keep exploring places and keep looking for wildlife in those places, spend time in nature, it always brings you some wonderful experience. have been getting requests to join/share trips, thinking about making a Whatsapp group where I can share plans of upcoming trip and individual members can also update about their wild encounters. share your thought about this idea.
Hi, I really appreciate your content. I stay in banglore , can you help me if I were to do birding for a couple of days what are the best areas to target, this trip will be in 1st week January. I am more interested in grassland birds and raptors . Thanks Akash
Awesome Video, earlier only foreigners used to make such documentaries, it is good to see that Indians are also capable of making such documentaries. As far as Poona is concerned, Sharad Kaka (Sharad Pawar) has destroyed Pune and it's surrounding areas in the name of development.
As I said in the video the grassland is vast and there is no specific location to see the bird or animals, There is no guide available either, however you can contact Insearchoutdoors.com they conduct tours to the grassland frequently.
Really good work! But one pointer the small minivet female that you mentioned is actually a common woodshrike. Its brilliant that you are documenting wildlife of the grasslands around pune which seem barren and lifeless from the outside but are teeming with birds and othe animals!
Sir is this area reserved or just like wasteland ?? I heard that these wastelands (for gov ) ironically grazing ground of livestock are now being sold for plots . Have you seen any plots or real estate
No not reserved or protected these are open barren land. These grasslands are now rapidly transforming into Non Agricultural residential plots because of the upcoming Pune international airport. Within next 5-6 yrs there would be no grassland left if not protected.
Very calming to watch... congratulations and thanks for this film
Very Nice & detailed video...keep it up and let more come in for us to enjoy...good luck
Another wonderful video

Excellent! Enjoyed it thoroughly. Bdw the bird you said to be a small minivet female is probably a common woodshrike.
Thanks for correcting me...👍👍

Sir can you also give us some of your excellent suggestions for wildlife photography.

Very nice quality video and amazing shots of birds and wildlife..... could you please let me know the camera and lenses used?......
Thanks for the appreciation.
I have used nikon 200-500mm lens on my D3300 body.

Common woodshrike not female minivet
where is this location how to visit any number of guide
As I said in the video the grassland is vast and there is no specific location to see the bird or animals,
There is no guide available either, however you can contact
Insearchoutdoors.com they conduct tours to the grassland frequently.
What is the best time of the year to visit Saswad?
August to February.
At different times you can find different species of birds.
Really good work! But one pointer the small minivet female that you mentioned is actually a common woodshrike. Its brilliant that you are documenting wildlife of the grasslands around pune which seem barren and lifeless from the outside but are teeming with birds and othe animals!
Thanks for the appreciation and thanks for correcting me on the identification. I appreciate it.
Bird at 5.06 mins is not small minivet..it's Common Woodshrike
Thanks for correcting me.👍👍
Yes you are right Nikhil. He is narrating the Common Wood Shrike as a female Small Minivet. But Good work he has done.
Sir is this area reserved or just like wasteland ?? I heard that these wastelands (for gov ) ironically grazing ground of livestock are now being sold for plots . Have you seen any plots or real estate
