I’ve watched you for a long while , your appeal is you are so natural doing videos together. No acting, just you and your good lady enjoying what you both do best . So refreshing after seeing all these number crunches on RUclips. Just carry on as you are , it’s so relaxing watching two pros being pros and not actors .
Your videos always bring me calm, except when you get so close to the edge of the cliff and then I worry about you! You are such lovely people and I deeply appreciate your sharing your experiences with us. It is such a welcome relief to the many troubles of the world. Thank you.
Yes! I found myself also watching Gudmann in this video standing there with the land sloping down and away! I imagine it was the perspective, but still...made me nervous. I am afraid of heights.
I congratulate you on this superb bird photography video! I loved the peaceful images and sounds of the wild nature of the isolated island of Grimsey. I particularly appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of the day, perfect for escaping from daily stress. Do you have any other similar video projects in preparation? I'm looking forward to seeing them!
Vuestros vídeos me relaja, son tan naturales que parece que estoy con vosotros. Días como este son también necesarios, pocas fotos pero relajación total y sobre todo cargando las pilas para mejores momentos. Un saludo desde Asturias-España.
Thank you for sharing. It seems like we are always trying to get the sharpest photos, but when I share a nice photo shot in the fog, it gets more comments. Art vs accuracy, art seems to win everytime.
I am surprised at how spring-like it is at Grimsey. I was expecting to see snowy and icy winter scenes at this time of the year but there are flowers already. It is gorgeous as usual. And the puffins: they are the cutest. Thanks for sharing.
No wonder you are surprised. This is taken late-July as we mention in the video. The puffins will arrive in april, and today there is some snow on Grímsey. 😀
Nice relaxing video. You demonstrated that even though a plan may not work out, there are often opportunities when we have a little patience and flexibility.
Not yet, Martin. We have so far only seen other photographers start guiding tours there since the island is becoming better known among photographers. We are probably bad at business :-)
Great video as always, is good to have a relaxing day too. Which model backpack do you use? I’ve just got a 300f2.8 vr2 for my D850 and it won’t fit in most of my backpacks
We are using the Flipside Trek BP450 AW from Lowepro. We use them as daypacks, the big lenses do not fit in them. If we are using the 300 f2.8 or the 500 f4 they are in our hands. It is only when they are in the car or on travels, that we put them in a backpack. The Lowepro´s are ok, but after heavy use, one of them is damaged and will probably be replaced soon. Thank you for watching.
@2:57 Good Lord! Your shutter is louder than mine and I thought my Canon 7D Mk2 was the loudest shutter known to Man! I am new viewer so do not know what camera you Gyda use, but I'm intrigued now! What could be so loud?
Always a treat. Thanks
You guys are so lucky! 🙏
I'm using wildlife photography to give me some respite from my PhD. It works.
Nice video, thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so much!!
Google Maps makes Grimsey look very barren. But it is completely the opposite of that! Very, very green in your high summer.
Super vidéo comme toujours!! Bonne semaine à vous deux . Bien cordialement .🤩

Glad you like them, and thank you for watching Owen! We do our best to be careful.

@@GudmannAndGyda That makes sense. I missed the part where you mention it is July. So I will watch it again :)
As soon as I heard the word Iceland I hit the subscribe button! Such a beautiful place, excited to follow along 😊

Thanks for another great video. Do you do photography guiding tours on Grimsey?

@Gudmann & Gyda thank you for the info.
Love all your videos, one day I'll go to Iceland

This beautiful sound comes from the Nikon D850... Our Nikon D4s sounds even louder, faster and more beautiful :-)
Could I visit the island, or is it private property? All the best 🥰
You can. Around 25.000 visit Grimsey every year. Check out our videos about Grimsey. Grimsey - Our Photography Secret.
