First Taekwondo Black Belt Test September 21, 2019. This video includes kicking, self-defense, sparring, and board breaks. Congratulations to my fellow Black Belt Candidates who passed the test. It was a great learning experience, for sure! I have learned so many things in Taekwondo. And Taekwondo is the reason how I got addicted into fitness.

Stumbled upon your black belt testing by accident. Congratulations on obtaining your black belt. Like General Choi used to say: "Never tire of training".
Gen Choi would be rolling in his grave if he saw this,this is not TKD and that is not anything like black belt standard,its what's referred to as a Mcdojo,a drive through black belt takeaway.

Just remember when you do a spinning hook kick to use the heel and not the flat part of your foot. only use the flat part when sparring a opponent so you don't hurt them. Your axe kick is very nice keep up the good work!
Sound advice. Many are oblivious to the fine nuances between sparring and Self defense/street techniques. Well said.
@@barthakingsley6482 All I have to say is that you are not gonna break 4 inches of pine wood doing a speed break spinning hook using the flat part of your foot. You can be mad but it's just facts.
@@barthakingsley6482 Actually breaking 4 one inch pieces of wood with a speed break spinning hook kick is very hard. My Korean grandmasters would say otherwise speed breaks power pushes you may have power but no speed. And if breaking 4 inches of pine with a speed break spinning hook is easy video that and show me.

First off you don't know my masters and have no right to talk bad about them. Ki Jeong Lee was a great master and his brother Ilun Chung.

How many years would it take to reach blackbelt in TKD?

@@Kali-8 The number of years it takes to reach a black belt is kind of irrelevant because it varies based on which dojangs you train at, how skilled you are, how demanding your school's black belt test is, etc. I'd say the normal range is 6-8 years. Personally, I got my black belt after almost 7 years.
At least 4 years
Its depends on every individual's dedication
Some get in 1 to 2.5 years or more than 6 years
@@swasthiknayak.4766 I don't think I've ever heard of someone getting a black belt in under 4 years. In my opinion it should at least take 4+ years to get a black belt. unless for some reason you progress *really* fast.

@@ems1135 oh ,I started karate when I was in class 3rd I continued it for three years I was very close to black belt but suddenly my coach changed the karate club to taekwondo club ,i had to start it again and this belt is my goal now I gonna get it .

Let's see, first we went into 3 groups doing basic combinations, going up into advanced, then we had to do all poomsaes (including american) we did advanced kicks like the list on there etc, ju jitsu, punching combinations, sparring which is also part of punching combinations, board breaking, and thats it (I'm not saying hers is easier it just looked easier on the video)
Imagine a stranger kidnapped one of the member without knowing the meaning of their belt

You are so lucky you can do the things that you want but I can not
I don't know what the rules are in your country but here it is not even allowed to do a black belt exam in your own dojo. You have to go to the board of WTF TKD. Also anyone can have a second try at the boards. But failing to do it twice means no belt. I don't know your dojo but many dojo's give out black belts like it's going out of style.

I just started TKD but if this is the standard for reaching black belt, I am not intimidated by these “martial artists” at all.

Hey there! Sorry took me a while to get back to you. National average for KUKKIWON Black Belt Certification is $1,000 - 1st Dan
$2,000 - 2nd Dan
$3,000 - 3rd Dan
Etc....
Some Masters might be a little more or a little less. Keep in mind this is for Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Certification. This is not a certificate from “MIKE’S KARATE”.

How long was the total time for your testing?
I woyld say 5 hrs. Also, it depends with how many people you are testing with!
