- While Taekwondo is very well known in the UK, most people don’t even know it’s from Korea (none of the boys did!) So today we visit the World Taekwondo Headquarters and invite a very special guest, one of the very best in the world, to introduce the boys to this traditional Korean Martial Art.
Huge thanks to Lee Dae-hoon for being so generous with his time, and to everyone at the Taekwondo World Headquarters for being so welcoming and letting us film.
Ray had to leave Korea a couple of days early due to personal reasons... Tune in next week for the very special FINAL episode of the Series 😭.

영국에서 태권도는 많이 알려진 스포츠이지만, 사실 많은 분들이 태권도가 한국에서 왔다는걸 모르시는것 같아요. 그래서 오늘은 영국 고딩들과 국기원을 방문해 특별한 손님을 만나 태권도를 배워봤어요.
저희와 촬영을 흔쾌히 허락해 주시고 영국 고딩들에게 태권도를 열심히 가르쳐주신 이대훈 선수님과 국기원 분들에게 많은 감사 드립니다.

The best thing about this video is how sweet-natured Taekwondo gold-medalist Lee Dae-hoon is.
I watched a special about Lee Dae Hoon on All the Butlers, and he was so passionate about his sport and his athleticism. Yet, he was still a young person despite his Gold Medal and he continued to want to do better. His perseverance and dedication to his craft and his love for the sport shows in his desire to share the sport with others.

Jayden realizing he is a taekwondo prodigy at 18 is so cool. Really highlights the importance of trying new things- sure you might not be great at it, but what if you are? and even if you are not a prodigy, you might still enjoy doing it!
I think he has enough flexibility to really get proper extension in the kicks, and therefore proper form, which is the key to success/strength. I hope he picks it up in Uni!
Wouldn't exactly say he's a prodigy... A better beginner than the rest maybe. The Olympic athlete was being nice.
@@emmak2971 I mean, it's really difficult to kick above the waist like that. You need very good core strength and flexibility. And he wasn't just kicking for a split second, you can see that he can maintain the form which is incredibly difficult to do. Most people are like Max. He can even do the roundhouse kick in his first try!

This episode was so funny but honestly Dae Hoon was such a great teacher. You can obviously tell how skilled he is and why he's a gold medalist. Amazing. Such a nice guy too, kept encouraging them and didn't make anyone feel bad.

Out of everyone there Jayden, Harvey and Bobby are probably the most underrated ones and I just love how they all gave everything they got.
Like it’s so obvious that everyone loves Armand and Max the most but I personally like all of them for different reasons.
Jayden is just quiet compared to the rest and that's ok he knows when to shine like he did today. Armand was hilarious.

체공시간이 긴, 한박자 늦게 차면서 상대의 타이밍을 빼앗는 고급 기술이다.
체공시간을 길게 하는 것 자체가 생각보다 어렵기 때문이다.
또한 자세도 훌륭했고, 파워도 좋았다.
첫번째 킥도 자세는 매우 좋았지만, 아마도 마지막에 타격되는 순간 발의 자세가 잘못되어 송판과 발 사이의 타격점이 잘못 잡혔고, 그래서 힘이 제대로 전달되지 못했던 것 같다.
처음 알려줬던 것 처럼 무릎을 굽힌 채 다리를 들어올리고, 무릎을 펴면서 빠르게 끊어 찬 후, 다시 무릎을 접고 다리를 내리는 것이 기본적인 순서이다.
그리고 발을 곧게 펴 무릎부터 정강이와 발가락까지 일직선이 된 상태(누워서 발목과 발가락 전체를 발바닥 쪽으로 최대한 기울이는 것을 해보면 어떤 느낌인지 쉽게 느낄 수 있다.)에서, 엄지발가락 윗쪽의 발등과 이어지는 관절 바로 윗 부분이나 발등 전체로 차는 것이다.
조쉬의 첫번째 발차기의 경우, 무릎을 펴면서 차는 것 까지는 완벽했던 걸로 보인다.
그러나 아마도 발을 제대로 펴지 못해 발가락으로 맞았거나, 각도가 틀어져 충격이 발 자체에서 흡수되었을 것이다.
두번째는 매우 훌륭했다!

Jayden and Harvey getting approval from an Olympic medalist must've felt amazing. I'm so happy for them. Lee Dae-hoon seems very nice and humble (and also very good looking 🤩). Love the positive spirit the boys had, trying those moves out until they got it right, like Armand.

These boys are so cute! They remind me of my cousin and his friends, they are all super excited to try new things and encourage each other it is adorable and so sweet!
As a guy who took taekwondo in secondary school, Lee Daehoon is literally the nicest teacher out there for this form. All taekwondo teachers I've had were as strict as drill sergeants, but they did so to make sure you knew your form well and that you could be toughened up. Martial arts aren't something anyone can just pick up, but taekwondo can be brutal if you don't practise properly.
I think he's being nice for the camera😅😅 u don't get to be that good by being nice in martial arts😆

to be honest the strictest teachers are the ones who smile at you and say "again" until you master it!

Armand is so funny in this episode... The lads discovered something in them in this whole journey. We discovered that Nati is good with his Hangul. He just needs to practice but it's easy for him to learn the language.
And in this episode... we learned that Jayden has a talent for martial arts. If the teacher says he should join the olympics, you know there's raw talent there.
This was definitely the episode where Jayden stood out the most, but Harvey was really strong aswell. These two were the best.

The teacher is so sweet!! I didn’t know him before, but being so talented, being an Olympic medalist and still being so sweet and talkative and holding all the equipment, hyping everyone up and giving out hugs, it’s too pure!
He’s quite famous and been in some variety show such Master in The House as the master who teach the guest and even Return of Superman where he baby sit his son whole day while his wife had ‘vacation’
@@sooha7548 Yes and on return of Superman he and his son did tae kwon do with Korean/Swiss/ Argentine kids of Park Jooho. Even though Park Jooho play soccer he used to do tae kwon do. So Josh and his wife should be babysitters for a day with Park siblings. And Gabie should speak Spanish to Park siblings. Josh already met Hammington boys on return of Superman.

So sad that we're nearly at the last episode! My mum and I are really interested in Korean culture, and I've been watching this channel for a few years. When the boys' series started I knew it would be a hit! So I showed it to my mum and we've loved every episode. The boys are so respectful, full of life and very decent, not to mention they all bring their own unique value! Everyone else involved deserves so much recognition. The Korean Englishman crew, the teachers, and of course all the incredible people introducing their own culture to the boys! I'm so honoured to witness these wholesome and genuine moments. Thank you!

as a person that has doneTaekwondo for a ton of years now, i can say that all of them genuinely did amazing, i'm actually really surprised🥳
I work as the assistant program director at a taekwondo school under a grand master and I'm testing for my yellow belt this week. It was so fun watching this and getting to see some of the roots of this martial art that has become my life. American taekwondo and Korean taekwondo are different in a lot of ways but the same in all the ways that count.
Harvey is the group's Ace. He is like the secret weapon in a kgroup!!! The sponge that aborbs everything taught/learnt/trained ♡♡♡lad be gaming, learning taekwondo, Hangul, etc and be adapting to everything!!!!

As a viewer, I'm getting emotional thinking that their trip is gonna end, can't imagine how the boys felt. I'm sure this trip will always hold a special place in their hearts.
IRL their trip has already ended a long time ago lol. But yeah, gonna miss these boys now that they won't be on Korean Englishmen that often.

wow! that really is an honor, to learn taekwondo from an Olympic medalist. so glad that they enjoyed it and good to see Jayden and Harvey kicking those boards so easy. plus Armand being so adorable, having a hard time keeping up with his friends. can’t believe that we’re down to 1 last episode for their Korea trip and hopefully this won’t be their last. i’ll miss these boys if they’ll leave the channel. I know they will all be busy with their Uni lives but I hope they will still visit and make videos with Josh and Ollie. I hope Josh can visit their dormitories and have like a tour and discuss how are they doin’ being a Uni students.

9:34 that was one of the best kicks, he raised his leverage knee instead of swinging his leg. Knee then kick. It was basically perfect. I'm a green stripe btw, it's fun to see that i've actually improved from white belt.
Lee Daehoon was really cool. He seems to have a good sense of humor too. Adjusted according to each person's perceived skills and made it easier for them to hit, so that they can get that morale boost.
I've always thought taekewondo was super cool, but something that felt unachievable. But this episode made it seem like the amateur level can at least be doable.

I never had any connection to martial arts growing up, and I felt the same way, that it was out of reach and unachievable. But it is not that way at all! I have my 2nd degree black belt now, and still going strong. If you begin taking lessons, you actually will start building skills rapidly! Hope you take the leap and try it 😇👏
