I like Metallica, but this cover really makes you appreciate the original drummer (Lee Kerslake) on Ozzy's recording. He was awesome. Even the guy drumming on the karaoke version does a better job than Lars!
***** No, "DUMB- ASS" I'm referring to the over powering hi-hat. For you to think we are referring to Lars' playing abilities, are ridiculously stupid.. So before attacking fan for criticizing a particular performeance, would mean that you're the type who swings on your hero's nuts, no matter what, without proper criticism, they could play any old crap and still retain their fan base and income.

These guys? They have been playing music for 40 years! They are "professional" musicians who have toured the world since the early 80's and are worth almost a billion dollars collectively. They are NOT just some high school bands of whom we should give some credit to for trying to pull it off. They have been playing cover songs for DECADES and they USED to be a GREAT band who could have pulled it off back in the day.
Gotta agree with Danimal... MetallicA are too pro to be given a pass for this failure. Either know how to play the damn song beforehand or go learn it. Not Randy Rhoads like, but Kirk might've been okay, until James's vocals rushed the tempo ruining the dynamics. It's a melodic song, this had no feel. And Lars was clueless.
