collin ohlinger - It's actually not a black majority city, you shouldn't just make things up to support your opinion. Either way, it doesn't matter what their race was. Their actions were criminal not hate based. Just to be clear im basing that off of the u.s. census since their methodology for coming up with those numbers are clear. I found other numbers that puts blacks above whites by 00.1% but ive found no refrence as to how those numbers were estimated.
I disagree. It's so outrageous because if these black dudes were not cops it could very likely be THEM having this done to them. There must be a special place in hell for blacks that do this to their already oppressed brothers.
These police complaints need to be public. If they won’t give us transparency then groups like ANONYMOUS certainly need to step up and deliver for the people like they claim to endeavor. Make this Cop Mafia a cadaver ANONYMOUS!!!

Michael Demko why? Do you have a valid argument to why they shouldn’t be available to the public? It’s against the constitution yet you think it’s right. Don’t officers swear on oath to protect the constitution? Hypocrisy.

I have loved Vice for many years, but I have recently discovered that they are owned and operated by the deep state/cabal. This alone, causes me to *NO* longer trust *ANYTHING* that they put out! This was a *HUGE* eye opener for me!! I have loved and trusted the work that Vice has done for many years now, but the fact that they are owned and operatedby the deep state/cabal, negates *ANY* and *ALL* good that they may have done with their journalism. Imho
In 2013, I visited a friend in Chicago [native]. There was so much police presence that I concluded that the police are doing much of the murdering! I remember when the did a "CEASE FIRE" weekend and reported there were no murders. Hmmm...So, the police ceased fired for a weekend!? REMAIN SAFE
I'm speechless and can't fathom how or why that happened for so long. I live in rural America and feel like we've gone back in time 70 years and learned nothing from history or humanity. My apologies to the citizens and individuals defiled by these cretins behind the badge.
While not the sole issue, the War on Drugs has created the conditions for police corruption. Drug laws give the state extraordinary (often unconstitutional) powers. Throw in the amount of money and the secrecy involved, and you've got a recipe for corruption.
If the Internal Affairs Dept were actually invested in honesty, integrity and routing out police corruption they wouldn’t hide behind secrecy. What should be considered secret when it comes to corrupt authority figures?
How do you clean up runny feces? Without getting it on yourself. You really can't. How do you repair a house where the foundation is broken? You can't, you have to tear it down and rebuild it.
They took my rights and i'm not a felon .i just wanted to have home protection and they came and took them and i got a court case even know a gun store sold me one in 09 and the cop said they couldn't find the paper work and i had to take a plea deal.i'm widowed and just want to protect myself and family.sad they take rights.i've done work in the us marshalls building and the us treasuary also.can't get in there with out a back ground check.sad this why no one trust them even in 2018.Blessings.they kicked my door in and i didn't even carry them,i was putting my child down for a nap.
yemo34 i had a lawyer he said they could not find the paper work.not a criminal at all.sorry .i just did every thing the lawyer told me.the nra wanted me to join before they would point me in the right direction to get my rights back.
your lawyer would have just gotten your gun registration from the sheriffs dept (in my state, you don't need one). And all firearms dealers are required to keep records of their bill of sales, there is no gun show loophole. And all background checks are cataloged. Unless you violated state law or your city ordinance, and can't own a gun in your area. Now if i give you the benefit of the doubt, it seems your lawyer was just trying to drop your case. And didn't care, which happens. But the little NRA bit makes no sense. They aren't the ACLU for gun rights!? You wouldn't of had to much even to defend yourself, you would have simply needed to request records from the people who have copies of them. honestly, your story sounds fishy. you sound more like a shill. and the baby speak makes it a tad racist TBH.
yemo34 they said they couldn't find said records from the shop but that was after the police that did the case ,i think he took them so i would have to take the plea..when i bought my first one.shady to me.sorry i have no faith .my constitutional rights were taken.
So the cops destroyed evidence? you know the ATF and FBI keep copies of background checks right? If they were stupid enough to do that. you could have at least proven the records existed. And you could have potentially gotten a settlement for the cops violating your civil rights(which happens all the time). so you gave up your rights, you didn't lose them. your story either makes you either really stupid or a liar.
They need to stop calling cops rats for good cops informing on the bad cops. The good cops quit because they get harassed and not helped on calls that could mean life or death. It is time for a massive overhaul of policing in this country.
Plus, the media does a bad job covering it. Most don't know that the war on drugs makes it more profitable and the laws help to make things worst. The news may touch on it, but then say, the have a dangerous job.
In city full of home raised thugs and criminals who do you expect to replace or man up a police force? The standards are low because the citizens are low.
This is more about theft of money by the PD. The gun trace task force in Baltimore went after criminals who had money and couldn’t show legal avenue for having it. So they could never claim it. The cops knew this and would pocket it instead of turning it all in as evidence.
If convictions are overturned, isn't there compensation for time served, emotional and financial impact etc? As he pointed out, he lost years with his kids, his house was repossessed and his employment options are now limited.
Every Police department should have civilian independent oversight committees. That looks at all internal affairs department cases and has the ability to over ride any decisions made by internal affairs dept. And every one should be able to go to there governments police website and be able to look up any police officer by name or badge number and see any complaints made against that officer and if they were found guilty or innocent and if guilty what punishment was given to that officer. I live in Victoria, Australia and Victoria police refuse to have a civilian independent oversight committee so the public has set up a website and tries to get anyone that is making a complaint to photocopy it and send them a copy and tries to get public police complaints through the (FOIA) Freedom of information Act. And post it on a website. So anyone can at least see some of the information
It's hard to feel sorry for a poison pusher who was robbed. He had a car and a house paid for with the misery of other people. It's terrible the cops were dirty but their dirt doesn't make a drug dealer a good guy.
Stranded in Utah - no it doesn't, but thats not the point. That drug dealer now gets to walk free because of the actions of those police. Crime does not end Crime it creates more. These police deserve a worse sentece than that man because they've abused a system in which we give them power and authority to keep peace in society and to solve and deter crime, not commit it.
Stranded in Utah besides why don’t they invest some dollars in Baltimore? Clean it up create jobs and decent schools, that would do away with the poverty crimes wait they are black no one gives a shit they would rather spend money jailing us.

collin ohlinger - It's actually not a black majority city, you shouldn't just make things up to support your opinion.
You're missing the point, all cops are bad
It is All Kops! Yes, with a "K!"
I disagree. It's so outrageous because if these black dudes were not cops it could very likely be THEM having this done to them. There must be a special place in hell for blacks that do this to their already oppressed brothers.
There is still no point most cops are good and people are always like “all cops are
Bad”
Michael Bryant Detroit police, and his drug squuad should be investigated ASAP.Same crap, different toilet.
Q: How do you know a cop is lying?
A: Well, he's a cop isn't he?
"We Built This City" brought me here. Been waiting for something as good as The Wire to be on TV again
It’s called we own this city
These people deserve to be paid for time lost earning... and the corrupt cops should be the ones forced to pay out of their own pockets.
I just find it unbeleivable that they are not !
I bet some people will still point at them and say, they are guilty.
They're called pigs for a reason
cynthia sabrina lol do you even know why?
These police complaints need to be public. If they won’t give us transparency then groups like ANONYMOUS certainly need to step up and deliver for the people like they claim to endeavor. Make this Cop Mafia a cadaver ANONYMOUS!!!
Anonymous is dying bro..
It is illegal the constitution says we can get any information on public servants so cities locking that information down and saying it's because officer privacy is against the law
No they dont
Michael Demko why? Do you have a valid argument to why they shouldn’t be available to the public? It’s against the constitution yet you think it’s right. Don’t officers swear on oath to protect the constitution? Hypocrisy.
This was an incredibly well put together piece of journalism, the only issue is as a journalist you need to shut your mouth and never finish someone's sentences.
Unfortunately, this young lady did it three times during this wonderful presentation. Police Corruption is disgusting, and has to go.
CamCANTRUN yeah. That’s what I thought. So rude.
Now HBO has a show based on these guys and it has alot of the wire's cast
"they took 20,000 cash from him" and then lowers her voice "some of it drug money". Im over here like wait im sorry they raided his house why now hahahahaahaha
If only Vice could consistently report like this
Well they need a story in order to report it
I have loved Vice for many years, but I have recently discovered that they are owned and operated by the deep state/cabal.
Imho
@@YouCanCallMeReTro when it comes to cops, you don't have to go far for a story.
@@firewaterbydesign Yikes.
It takes time to report.
That cop was such a tool. He didn't even know what to say. He was literally trying to think of a way to spin it hahahaha
Can VICE please investigate the Chicago Police Department
Jerome Thomas they had torture chambers I. Chicago for > 20 years
VIce has done reports on Chicago police for years, you must be new here
So they can end up dead
Chiraq?
In 2013, I visited a friend in Chicago [native]. There was so much police presence that I concluded that the police are doing much of the murdering! I remember when the did a "CEASE FIRE" weekend and reported there were no murders. Hmmm...So, the police ceased fired for a weekend!? REMAIN SAFE
baltimore is cursed, the wire taught me that much
The victims SHOULD BE COMPENSATED. And money SHOULD BE TAKEN FROM the CORRUPT cops to their victims.
What, we can't trust the police!?!
Such news..
Seven seasons of “The Shield” and these psycho cops still haven’t gotten the message? #sad.
No interest... or no cable
😂😂😂😂
You got me remembering Shane urinating on an innocent dude and Vic burning that dudes face on the stove! I learned from that show.. Yes, sad.

Crazy how crime spikes when these criminals get released
I'm speechless and can't fathom how or why that happened for so long. I live in rural America and feel like we've gone back in time 70 years and learned nothing from history or humanity. My apologies to the citizens and individuals defiled by these cretins behind the badge.
It's been a constant
Not just american cops*
While not the sole issue, the War on Drugs has created the conditions for police corruption. Drug laws give the state extraordinary (often unconstitutional) powers. Throw in the amount of money and the secrecy involved, and you've got a recipe for corruption.
Man I wish I could be on that jury
James Thomas - Best comment on this entire thread.
Who else is here after watching The Wire inspired We Own This City?
If the Internal Affairs Dept were actually invested in honesty, integrity and routing out police corruption they wouldn’t hide behind secrecy. What should be considered secret when it comes to corrupt authority figures?
How do you clean up runny feces? Without getting it on yourself. You really can't. How do you repair a house where the foundation is broken? You can't, you have to tear it down and rebuild it.
Exactly. It's the only way & needs to go full throttle.
“But not all cops are bad!”
That’s like playing Russian Roulette and saying, “But not all of the chambers are deadly!” It only takes one.
Baltimore Mafia
Good reporting
They took my rights and i'm not a felon .i just wanted to have home protection and they came and took them and i got a court case even know a gun store sold me one in 09 and the cop said they couldn't find the paper work and i had to take a plea deal.i'm widowed and just want to protect myself and family.sad they take rights.i've done work in the us marshalls building and the us treasuary also.can't get in there with out a back ground check.sad this why no one trust them even in 2018.Blessings.they kicked my door in and i didn't even carry them,i was putting my child down for a nap.
English please
yemo34 i had a lawyer he said they could not find the paper work.not a criminal at all.sorry .i just did every thing the lawyer told me.the nra wanted me to join before they would point me in the right direction to get my rights back.
your lawyer would have just gotten your gun registration from the sheriffs dept (in my state, you don't need one).
There’s a show on this case called “we own this city” it’s really good so far.
Yessss love this show
This is what police departments do if police departments go unchecked.
worth a movie adaption this story. starring tom hanks and directed by spielberg or eastwood....
Pugh and the next mayor have also been caught up.
If they started giving these cops 10 and 15 year prison terms shit would stop.
They need to stop calling cops rats for good cops informing on the bad cops. The good cops quit because they get harassed and not helped on calls that could mean life or death. It is time for a massive overhaul of policing in this country.
We own this city brought me here
This sounds like Mexico 🙂
I love how that cop was asked a question and responded by telling her what she should of asked good job steering the heat away from your self
They’re gonna have a great time in prison
So this what the new show we own this city about?
Yes
This is straight out of The Wire
When people get power they get very corrupted!!
Plus, the media does a bad job covering it. Most don't know that the war on drugs makes it more profitable and the laws help to make things worst. The news may touch on it, but then say, the have a dangerous job.
3:25 you can always tell a true Baltimorean by the way they say do and too.... and just one of the reasons that makes "the wire" so authentic.
cops is the worst gang in town
The biggest winners in this sad story is all the drug dealers who had there charges dropped
In city full of home raised thugs and criminals who do you expect to replace or man up a police force? The standards are low because the citizens are low.
Imagine having a loved one murdered only to see their killer(s) set free bc of crooked cops who worked the case.
💯 All valid considerations
earliest i've ever been on vice vids heheh
This is fine and dandy, but it doesnt solve the sky high homicide rates in Baltimore.
Stranded in Utah shit you all don’t feel sorry for the black folks they kill why would you gaf about a drug dealer.
Stranded in Utah besides why don’t they invest some dollars in Baltimore? Clean it up create jobs and decent schools, that would do away with the poverty crimes wait they are black no one gives a shit they would rather spend money jailing us.
I've used to get some of my best weed from cops! Laughing! Though weed is a NATURAL HERB. Many cops are drug dealers and rob other drug dealers
@@ss10baby Crack and Heroin is massive in Baltimore. And I've never met too make weed dealers that have 20gs stashed under their bed. Dont be foolish
7:25 God bless this woman and those who fight to help the less fortunate and voiceless
*waits for racist comments*
^ *shows up after all the racist comments have been made*
Overused meme.
Here because of the new HBO limit series, We Own This City!
The biggest problem is the lack of respect and protection for brave whistle blowers
Yes! This madness is finally is begining to stop, and justice slowly being re-established by people with convictions and access to this privy information not allowed to see by the general public...
Great work guys...!!
I grew up in Baltimore but moved away a few years ago.
The stupid drug war is whats killed that city.
That city kills itself the people police pastors and politcians mostly come from the same shithole communities. I am a native and that city hasnt been shit since the late 7os early 80s
This is f'd up! Shame on BPD! I started crying when that man said he lost his job and his home all because of police corruption. The innocent should not have to suffer because of crooked cops. God bless that woman and others who acts on their behalf to get them justice.
Excuse me that's way beyond misconduct screaming what the hell😱😱😱
Yeah, 'misconduct' is too mild a word. Like a euphemism for EVIL.
I’m from Baltimore MD and EVERYTHING YOU SEE HERE IS 1000% TRUE. IT IS STILL CORRUPTED.
Facts
It is TRUE that "Thin Blue Line" is literally their Code Of Silence INSIGNIA!
HBO new upcoming series:we own this city might be about these corrupt cops. Check HBO trailer for this series.
watch the HBO series that just came out about this! Dirtyyyyy!
That captain knew what was going on, 100%! Dude wouldn't answer a question directly. "Should you have found out about this sooner?" Not a single word answered this, he instead answered his own question.
“I’m not that good the task force was just that bad” lmao
Who’s here after We own this city hbo show
So where all the people who say civilians don't need rifles with 30 round magazines designed primarily for fighting? That we should depend on the police for personal protection ? That tyranny isn't possible in the USA? I would like to know what they have to say about this.
Digital Plunder weren't what what we consider to be hunting rifles once used by the military?
Are you going to kill a cop? That will get you life in jail. If a coo shoots your ass that’s a two week suspension.
What about cops in Baltimore selling heroin
big man
And then,... you're dead in the ground.
Ecc. 3:18-21
I live in Baltimore and one big thing they didn’t mention is the task force killed one of their own the day before he was gonna testify against them in court
Every Canadian police forces are doing the same thing.
Unbelievable. I’ve heard things about this type of corruption, but wtroyalF!
