In Baltimore, Maryland, an elite group of plainclothes officers called the Gun Trace Task Force gets hundreds of illegal guns off the streets every year. Secretly, however, these detectives are also robbing people, selling drugs, planting evidence and framing innocent people. When some of the officers go too far, it triggers an FBI investigation that reveals the Gun Trace Task Force as one of the most corrupt police squads in American policing history. Jessica Lussenhop tells the story of the rise and fall of this once-powerful unit of officers, and its leader Sergeant Wayne Jenkins. And she asks: why do good cops go bad?

@@anothercomment3451 idk I think petty crimes should get a slap on the hand and cops should spend more time investigating and actually doing police work to catch corporations, politicians and rich people. Seems they like harassing the lower income people because they can't afford attorneys and just get shuffled right through the court system and it's an easy conviction for them. Instead of going after big crimes or major corruption that's affecting our entire country. Like major drug dealers, sex trafficking, major pollution, laundering of money, fraud, and things of that nature.

I had an interest in watching the content in its entirety, but the BBC's attempt at hypnotizing the viewer prevented me from doing so.
“Dealers have flooded the streets with poison”, but let’s be fair with them. Sure, we can win the battle against the vilest people while being fair. Vietnam didn’t teach you a thing. You either play with no rules against the bad guys, or you let them be. You CANNOT beat them playing by the rules while they have no rules. It’s stupid to think otherwise.
So just vilify innocent people as "bad guys" to feel heroic? Have you seen Platoon? "Hell is the impossibility of reason".

He continued to say that “We’re fighting ourselves when we should be fighting the enemy.” It refers to the fact that our government was trying to appease bleeding heart American citizens while sacrificing our boys like they were literal pawns. This further illustrates my point. We could have destroyed the enemy in Vietnam in no time, but our own citizens cried for those uncivilized barbarians in the north. It’s the same ol’ same. I grew up in Brockton ma a tough city south of Boston and I’m with 3 of my boys chillen at our playground and gang task force rolls up on us and I just bought n ounce of weed and they got me with it . So I go to court they take my license for a year? I wasn’t even the driver I was the passenger and we finally are in front of judge and says I was caught with a small quantity wtf ounce is a big bag then I get my last day in court and the evidence is gone . I still get screwed this stuff happens everywhere

Because when the cops were beating dealers up and arresting them the city was wonderful….you can’t police or lockup drugs away, and you definitely can’t stop drug dealing when there are no jobs. The public is demanding integrity from police, and you are angry about it? The police’s power and authority is bestowed on them by the public, when the police start behaving like criminals they have to be put in check. We give these cops the power to make life and death decisions, if someone doesn’t have the character or ethics to handle that responsibility their authority isn’t based on anything.
