Red Zones: Philippines - The Dark Side of the Sea: • Red Zones - World’s To...
For years, Detroit has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in the USA - and especially infamous is Seven Mile Road. This area is so tough that even the police only dare tread during the day. Ruled by the Seven Mile Bloods. One of the most notorious gangs in the city. Drug dealers, hustlers, killers and thieves - prepared to do whatever it takes to defend their territory. For over ten years gang leader Money controls the drug trade with an iron fist. A bloody territorial war keeps the gang in turmoil. To keep their rivals in check, boss Money needs a steady flow of new weapons. Only with the requisite firepower can they continue to dominate their territory and the other gangs - because the touch-paper might light at any moment. The violent crime rate in Detroit is five times higher than the rest of the country. In two thousand eighteen, over thirteen thousand crimes were reported, many more occurred. Seven Mile in particular is the front line for the bloody territorial battles that brutally define this no-go zone. For the police, every assignment is a risk, which is why bounty hunters are often used to go after criminals. A special unit of bounty hunters prepares for their next assignment on the outskirts of downtown. Tommy Depung leads the unit. So far, he’s arrested over twenty-five hundred criminals. Together with his team, they´re following a hot tip about a wanted drug and weapons dealer, and it’s taking them straight into the no-go zone…

When you grow up in places like this you don’t have much options and can’t get easy to leave especially if you don’t got much, my pops used to hang out with his cousins gang and where we used to live was rough and the reason we had to move somewhere a bit “better” cause my pops got his act together again for a better life for his family and for a restart for my younger sister, he got money from what he would ask his friend to steal and then resell, that’s how we got out of there with the money he got and also his cousin wanted just the better for us so he gave my folks money to help out. Now the gangs got killed (beside a few) haven’t seen my ‘Tio’ (pop cus) since I was 6 and he still ab it but fixed up a bit more, never will forget what he did to help get us a better life out here 🙏🏽

I’d like to see more of these on other places in the US. parts of New Brunswick nj are getting pretty bad too. I live in the adjoining town; have a ring camera so I get all the neighbor alerts for nb. I’ve seen people rob and beat up men on ring cameras, shootings happen so often it’s practically commonplace, porch pirates and attempted break ins, at least something is happening every day there.
And yet I and a lot of my friends have walked through nb drunk as hell many times with no problems, I dated a guy there for a while and never had any problems other than getting harassed by dudes on the street. I mean hell Rutgers has a nb campus. And then I hear from a friend he got stabbed on his way home one night. Weird place

I’ll tell u, treat ppl with respect be it drug dealers , prostitution, drug users, alcoholics, etc in fact if someone looked shady entering the store, the guys with some street respect waited around till the shady guy left . There was a lady head cashier worked same location for 20+ years and acted as asst manager her name was Phyllis, (RIP) everybody respected and treated her like a mother and again without issues as if there was a code of honor being followed . April of 2016, I delivered to the orange big box builder's supply on 7 Mile road. The original plan was to sleep somewhere enroute, but heavy fog slowed me down so much, that I had to drive straight through to make my delivery appointment. Parked in the lot in front of the place, and a police chase went right past at 3 AM, and somebody was shooting. Did a search online, and discovered that there had been a murder IN THE PARKING LOT where I was parked a month earlier.
When I left, my entrance ramp to I-94 was closed, and I had to reroute. I drove through the neighborhood with burned out and tagged houses for blocks and blocks. White knuckle trip.
