Almost 2 weeks post op, and everything is great! Everyday my vision is getting sharper. Hitting 40 this year and the best decision getting PRK done
love this update! clears up a lot of things. it seems like people expect the same results of lasik from prk, and thats where most of the disappointment comes from. it appears like time and care are the best remedy. thanks for the vids! going for my surgery in a months time.
Thanks for sharing your 1 year post-op experience with PRK! I'm 1.5 weeks post-op and am struggling with how irritated my eyes are. You are the only other person, other than my optometrist, who has mentioned the effects of clogged meibomian glands. I also have some blockages and was told to do a hot compress on my eyes 2x/day for 10 min each time. Next time I will try the hot water and wash cloth trick, seems a bit faster than waiting 10 minutes. I'll look into the Thera Tears too! I like the Thealoz Duo eye drop. It has an ingredient derived from cacti that is supposed to help your cornea heal; however, it's expensive! Thera Tears are 1/3 of the price, so I will have to try those. Perhaps a humidifier too! Thank you again!

Now that's been one year post surgery. Is your eyesight equally sharp in both of your eyes, or is one of your eyes having a clearer vision?
At what point did upit vision clear up fully? After how many months?
I'm two weeks post prk surgery and seeing DOUBLE... extremely annoying. Feeling like I wasted $5k. Thanks for the motivation.

after 1 week The Bondage contact Lens removed and my vision is blurry after a day It goes Double Vision in a Week today is August 27 My vision is better no double Vision i can see but not as clearly I Mean "Sharp", my left eye which is good And Sharp but so far so good Maybe a Month my eye Is near perfect vision or maybe perfectly complete... i forgot sometimes to Put an Artificial tears, but artificial tears must be used regularly after The TransPRK Surgery and Removing bondage contact lens for 2weeks and use mostly artificial tears "Lubricants"
Like Dextran, Hyabak depends on what ARTIFICIAL TEARS That the DOCTORS RECOMMEND...
1-3months Or 1-6 months Recovery for the Epithelial Cells of the cornea when it is fully recovered your vision is Clear... almost (90-97)% my vision is perfect within 2 weeks..
Can you please tell what your prescription was prior to PRK?
Just had lasik 2 weeks ago and had mono vision...as of today I'm using 2.50 reading glasses..
So is one eye still blurry?

Thank you for a very informative and reassuring video. I had prk 3 weeks ago and now the blurring has worsened. Reading is almost impossible now. Even my good right eye which was pretty sharp since removing contacts is now blurred. I dont feel any other symptom. No pain and the dryness if anything is better. Doctors are useless. Did antging like this happen to you?

@@milin550 now it is so much better. At around 6 weeks my vision stabilized and i am happy with the results.

Hello dear..its good to hear from you after a long time..thanks for the video..have you got your vision totally sharp or often blurred(fluctuation) in this long time recovery ? I had a surgery on jan 2020 but my right eye vision is fluctuating and not stable yet.Thanks in advance
Main khud yehi sawal dhoondh rha hoon, aug 2019 me prk krwaya tha Daljeet singh eye hospital amritsar se aur right eye abhi bhi fully recover nhi hui hai.

It will take six months to heal fully on rare cases even will take to one year so kindly wait till 6 months to get over

Internet par jhanch partal krne pr ye pta chala mujhe ki lubricating eye drops continue rakhne hain kyi baar saal bhi lg jata hai kyi baar saal se zada bhi stable hone me. Stress mat do zada ankhon ko. Lubrication bnaye rakho. Thik ho jayega

Hello, I have a question i had PRK surgey about 3 months now. My experience is that at night time is kind of dificult for me to drive do to the lights that my eyes cant focus right and see it blur. And at daytime i can see but if i want to read something lets say like 10 feet away a have to focus to actually see and read it because it looks blur. Yes a see better before the surgery but i have that concerns.

@@ahmedshenawy8732 my night vision when its dark is still terrible. Driving is an issue as lot of ghosting with reading letters and sign boards. Like some kind of oil film infront with oily blurring. Day time vision is ok, not crystal clear. Artificial lights inside office is giving a blurry vision. However computer screen vision has improved now. I have noticed some drops especially “ gel “ lubricant eye drops are making things worse. This is my 5th week.

Before prk my both eye power is -2.5 but after 7 months of post prk my left eye has -0.5 power is there any problem or my eye sight will get to normal.

Better but my eyes are so dry and I had floaters after the surgery

That is normal. PRK takes very long to heal.

It's been 2 weeks post op to my trans prk, left eye is still blurry means can't see as clear as right.
Got tested with top con, showed 35 degree right eye, 80 degree left eye.
Not sure if this comes to normal.

OK I was scheduled to have PRK later today and I’m gonna call and cancel because PRK apparently just destroyed his vision. I mean nobody with even moderately bad vision would ever pick that shirt intentionally…

PRK is a SAFER procedure than LASIK. there is nothing to sell. also, many of the problems you've had are age related. younger PRK/LASIK patients do better ,quicker.
