@@jamespatrick9597 So... I'll give you the long answer here. I'm a long time powerlifter and in Dec 2019 I hurt my shoulder pretty good away from the gym. So I wasn't able to bench until about 2 months ago.
I've been going extremely light and pumping out a silly amount of reps. However recently I started doing 2 heavier sets at the end of my workout and adding in the Slingshot to help protect my shoulder.
I've been using the Slingshots since 2016 though and would usually add it towards the end of my bench workout. So I'll pyramid up and then add the Slingshot for overloads.
It allowed me to handle heavier weight and get the feel of it in my hands. The one biggest piece of advice I can give is try not to become too dependant on it and don't feel the need to use it every single workout. I love them though. Very impressive, however, how far do you go? Take Olympic lifting for instance, they just get on stage, grab the bar, and jerk it over head, they don’t require 10 spotters, or a bench shirt that makes it impossible to move, to such extent that it can support several hundred kilos when pressing.
