      theRightizright i am christian and i do believe in god and actually pray a lot, but i don’t believe that homosexuality is a sin, cause it’s not a thing that people can choose, it can’t be changed ! And of course people addicted to drugs... need help and that wasn’t what i was talking about, but homosexuality is not a drug and can’t just be flushed away, that’s what most of you don’t understand, no one just woke up one day and decided to be gay or bi or trans...for the fun of it, it’s who they are and were meant to be , so i hope you get to accept them someday, it’s not that they need it tho as long as they accept themselves.

    • @jpl4136
      @jpl4136 4 года назад +1

      @theRightizright Although I agree with some of what you're saying as I'm a firm believer in Christ who--according to the Bible--knows homosexuality is sinful, I will tell you that this is not the place to start such a heated debate and continue with it as you've demonstrated in the past week. Even if your original reply was out of good intentions, which I don't believe it was, it didn't work because you're irritating people with your judging comments. Only the Lord is to judge since we are all broken people. Therefore, I find it in your best interest to stop wasting your time posting these comments since they're doing nothing but angering people.

    • @jpl4136
      @jpl4136 4 года назад

      @theRightizright First of all, we are not friends, so don't call me "friend." Second, I propose that you not use RUclips as a platform for implementing Ezekiel 3:18. What I'm not going to do is participate in throwing Bible verses at each other to prove our points. Instead, I encourage you to focus on spreading the word of God in the most respectful and civil way possible. What you did was to the contrary because it angered a lot of people. They don't know you personally, so how much of an influence do you think you made on them? If you want to simply call strangers out on their sins via the Internet and believe you are doing right by God, then no one's stopping you. By all means, have fun posting similar comments on all RUclips videos depicting people who sin. However, if you wish to make an actual, positive and civil influence, I suggest you start praying for those who need God in their lives and that they eventually turn to Him for guidance. If you're doing that, great, but don't use the Internet as a way to warn people of their sins.

    Being bisexual is tricky. You receive input from both man and women and you really need to work through that. I only found out that I was bisexual at my 20's. Even being born in the 90's, I never thought that I had options. Everyone around me was straight so... I had to be straight. Problem is that I'm not straight

Don't hide from your family and close friends who you are inside. My God it's 2021 and normal for individuals to be attracted to our same sex. Just be glad you didn't grow up 30, 40, or 50 years ago. Hi! Hope you've been doing well since you last posted this message a year ago.
      I'm bi too (but female) and although I think I'm always gonna be monogamous despite my fluidity, I'm really glad that polyamory and ethical non-monogamy in general is becoming more accepted.
      I guess its because it might (though I get not always!) be an elegant "solution" for certain bi+ people. I think even moreso for those of us who feel the fluidity part of our bisexuality pretty hard, those who're closer to that 50:50 "attraction model" or feel equally as desiring of both romantic and sexual relationships with either sex, or your "bi-cycle" shifts often or it shifts hard.
      I was also gonna mention to you, though I'm sure you've probably researched it more by now - but if you are considering going poly, don't feel pressure to form a perfect poly triad with a man and a woman straight off the bat and not consider anything else.
      I mean if it works, it works and that sounds heavenly, I'd be super jealous of you trust me - but more often than not they can be too complicated for most people, and affections between all 3 partners can be mismatched.
      You could try open relationships where both partners are free to explore outside the relationship, or polyamorous set-ups where one or more people in the relationship date different people separately. Anyways shall stop talking now. Whatever you're going, as long as it's done with love, honesty, communication and a respect of boundaries then its gonna be good I think.
      Wishing you the best!

    What's weird to me as a gay man is hearing the term "choice". I hate this term. I hate it when people say anything regarding "choosing" when it comes to sexual attraction. Because it's just not true. If someone is attracted to both sexes, they're bisexual. If they're attracted to the opposite sex only, they're straight. If they're attracted to the same sex only, they're gay. That's the way I view it. You can "have sex" with anybody -- that doesn't necessarily mean anything really. Sexual orientation is who you are attracted to. And that is definitely not something that someone "chooses". Nor is it a "lifestyle".

I think being a 100% gay and straight is very limiting and restrictive to only one gender, which does not provide variation at all. If you eat the same food every day, one becomes tired and bored 🥱. Having variation in life is more fun and joyous. I wish I was a bisexual like you! Lucky you!

    Being bi is a wonderful thing to discover about one’s self. Gays have told me I wasn’t gay. Straights have told me I should lower the tone of my voice, to be more successful. I’ve been married twice, to women, for about 40 years. Now I live with a man. A loving, wonderful man. For myself, I realized I didn’t want to be in a threesome, men or women, so obviously I could only be with either a man or a woman, at one time. Neither is “the answer”. The answer is in me. Because, no matter who you’re with, it’s really about how you are with yourself. Neither He nor She will fulfill you. You have to be happy with your self. I know now who I am, and I have a sense of personal pride I never had, before I figured out I am neither one nor the other. I have an open horizon, and it’s very freeing. All the best in your own, personal quest.

    Very good points, you can’t live your life for others who really don’t have anything to do with your sexuality. All you do is rob yourself of intimacy and ultimately yourself! Everyone dies but not everyone lives. Don’t die a million deaths! I’m gay but lived my life for others like he did, now there’s very little left and I wonder if it’s worth it.

    So glad to know that it is a struggle for other people (I wouldnt wish struggle on anyone but I feel so alone with this). I've been dealing with this forever and just started dating guys at 28. I didn't want to believe I was bisexual or sexuality is fluid for the longest time. I would hook up with this guy back home like once or twice a year, always downloading and deleting gay dating apps trying to meet someone but I'd always back out. Then I moved out of my hometown last year at 27. Then I started dating guys cause nobody I knew from home would be near me. Turning 29 this month and I've been with a man the past 7 months. I really like him but he knows my struggle and is helping me. Most gays I met though think bisexuals are just confused. Maybe I am, I don't know. But I'm glad this dude talked about coming out to his parents, I'm trying to figure out how to do this myself. Great video. I really needed this.

In that moment, at work, i decided not to make it a big deal and just let it pass but did mention that sexuality can be fluid and we moved on. But i can say, it felt so AMAZING and SPECIAL to be the one he felt comfortable saying this too. Now i have a better understanding of what to say to him if he brings it up again and can hopefully be there to help him along the process and maybe some of the hate he may receive.

Sexuality, for me, has turned out to be far more complex and far richer and more exciting than I ever would have thought even ten years ago. But, how my family found out I was gay, my mom came over to my house and she just walked in, which was ok. But, she came into my room and she say me in a compromising position. She turned around and went into the frontroom. When I walked out and she said that she wanted to talk to me. I said back to her what is there to talk about? I then told her now you know.

      I think to some extent that has to do with representation. There are a multitude of gay men in media (movies, tv, video games, comics, etc), but I struggle to think of a single bisexual man in media. Growing up when I first started experiencing same sex attractions I was confused and thought I was gay, but I still felt attraction to girls. It took me years to realize that men could be bisexual. All the bisexuals I had seen were women, and as a child I felt scared and very uncertain. I connect very deeply with the story Ben presents in this video, as I am 22 and I can't tell my best friend I'm bisexual knowing that he's gay and will accept me fully. It doesn't help when other members of the LGBT community invalidate my identity. It's hard out here for a bisexual man. Sorry for the long comment, but I have a lot of feelings on this issue. Lol.

    My hopes are that bisexual men can have life-long relationships that permit them to be who they are & stop being condemned by a world that does not have a sympathetic ear for what they are trying to say. No one should end up being hurt & rejected. Love your wife with all your heart & soul. Be a father. Wives, listen, love him. Don't amputate his bisexual nature. Embrace it. This won't be the easiest thing to do, but once you grant him this love, you will know that your life can be lived with him & you can incorporate this larger-than-life, two spirit man, into your marriage & not end up in sadness or sorrow, but keep your love in place.

    Sexual oppression as described has the potential to be so destructive regardless of an individual's sexual orientation. Even heteronormative individuals live in constant fear of being accused of failing the heterosexual litmus test. The sad part is that sexual oppression is one of the dominant features of religious fundamentalism which saturates the American South, Utah and rural areas in the bluest of states. I have always believed sexuality was for a lot of people on a spectrum. And once you realise and can accept it’s the person you fall in love with, not their sex, so much changes about who you are, and the freedom to love whom you want follows. And there’s no one to come out to, except your self. That acceptance brings with it, reassurance and self confidence. And it lets go of the guilt, that you have something to hide. Which you don’t.

I'd imagine sexual fluidity for 100% of the population would really cause quite a few problems.

    Why is it that majority of gay men & lesbians don't accept bisexual men? They say bisexuals in reality are gay but they are just confused, coward or too ashamed to admit that they are gay. I've been in a relationship with both genders but I only fell in love with a woman so far. I've been in a relationship with bisexual men...total of 4 men, not at once but one at a time. I'd like to think that I'm faithful and decent. I loved them but I have never fell in love with them the way I fell in love with a woman.
    I used to get so confused and agonized with my attraction to both genders until I gave up and surrendered to the reality that I'm bisexual. I wish there's a cure to bisexuality to be straight or gay. The only advantage I could think of being bi is the fact that I enjoy making love with women and men. I'm not discriminatory & I have the best of both worlds but the society is not very tolerant with people like me and my faith makes it impossible for me to be carefree about my bisexuality. My sexuality & life aren't so easy. 😢

      I feel your comment. I am bi and realized I was bi (or allowed myself to say it out loud) about ten years ago when I was 36. Before that I saw myself as straight. I hated that I was attracted to men. Generally I feel it as a struggle but more and more I accept it and see it as a part of what defines me. I have always been very accepting, always tried to bring people together, and always crossed borders in may ways. I think this comes from my bisexuality. In your case, I would try to find in what ways you are blessed by being attracted to men. So, try to see it as a gift more than a challenge. And joining a bi group or a queer group. I did that ten years ago for about a semester. I will do this again!
