    This may be the case. Freight is low in all sectors. Owner- Operators and Companies. The big issue is with freight being so low, why are they still recruiting drivers when there is not enough miles to give current drivers a true paycheck

    Them big companies don’t care about your pay. They care about keeping their customs satisfied. If it comes at the expense of the driver taking an L, then a L is what the driver has to hold. Don’t stress about what’s uncontrollable. Do your time & move on. It’s a rookie company & 2nd chance company. Expect the rookie & 2nd chance treatment. Get out of the mega carrier asap. Ain’t no money unless you train.

      @@Solitude633 if that’s how you interpret it. But a smaller outfit is usually better on pay, consistent miles, more personal relationships with the front office, less micro management, etc…

    I’ve driven from VA to Ohio, to New York to North Carolina, to New Jersey, all over the north east region within a week doing flatbed and I only got paid $500, when they told me I’d get paid $2000 weekly, they also lie and tell us we’d get paid 88cents a mile when I get there it turns out they lied and I only got paid 43 cents a mile as a flatbed. Complete crap unless your driving record is completely recked

      Same case here. I think I was getting payed more when I was getting trained. They will also sign you up for OTR without telling you, meaning there’s zero home time.

    I've heard about Western Express before and nothing would surprise me about the way the pay their drivers. I drove for multiple companies and most of them are doing NOTHING but taking advantage of all their employees. That's a real shame. But also a reality.

    They pay you half of your salary as trainee. ... Western Express exploit trainees. ... That's what they do to make money......But it's a give an take ...... When you leave them you have a skill for life..... So In my book ,it's worth it ..... Do your time..... Get your skill leave when you own your skill....

    I chatted with western express the other day. He told me I'd have to sign a contract to stay there for a year. I told him I might not like him enough to work there for a year. That's how desperate they are to keep drivers. Stupid is as stupid does.

    They are shady. They pay on a sliding scale. Less miles, less mileage rate. I believe as solo, it was 2600 to make the maximum rate that I was quoted as my rate. The problem was that the dispatcher couldn't keep me moving so I could make the miles.

    Guess I stop trucking at a good time... Happy to see you working... But am not going OTR for 400 dollars a week... 55 cent a mile😢😢... I started 70cent mile and ended 85 cent and ... Weekly pay 3k to 4k... 30days out and 1 or 2 weeks hometime... This world 👎👎👎👎👎👎

    I don’t know how much experience you have but if you want to drive solo come to Sweet Express. It’s a pretty good company and the pay is good. Stay out two weeks and get three full days at home. No NYC runs if you don’t want to.

    1st year you just putting in your time. Once you got that experience there's plenty of companies that pay .65 per mile minimum at least 2k a week.

    Thanks for sharing your paystub. Now i know to stay from that company. I heard of highway robbery but this is company robbery. As a team you split the.miles in half not the pay, you should be around .56-.70cents/mile each depending on experience etc.

    My recruiter is telling me they start at 56cpm for team driver starting out. And it goes up to 76cpm. How true is this? Saying I could make 1800-2200 a week. Have you seen anywhere near this number?

    You had a bad week in one of the toughest industries if you had to sale a company to another one. If you avg 5500-6k the check would different. Being new in a industry also makes you thinks a lot more

    Most companies pay it like that...if you each get .55 CPM you would split the miles or if you split the .55 CPM you are each paid for all the miles, which calculates to the same thing; does that make sense?

    At the start of year 2 with CRST my co driver and i were making 62 cents a mile. If we drove 4k miles, we both got 2k miles at 62 cents not 31 cents.

      I ask my dm every week about getting on with fedex runs & he tells me that he is going to reach out to the planning department but I guess planning didn’t get his message yet. Lol

      Honestly I think it’s all up to the planning department so when you guys get in a truck you might wanna stay diligent on getting more miles! My dm told me most loads aren’t sent automatically so a real person is not looking for you a load all the time.

    Go to U. S. Express or Covenant Transport. They’re team driving companies. East coast to West Coast and back. 20,000 + miles a month on the truck.

    I work for western and that team pay is great for rookies. First week I got 3600 in four days second week got 5K. I drop all my loads off early as possible. It’s all about who your DM is

      @@HollywoodCane there’s a slow down period for about three months. So I left for Swift personal they have better accommodations. The best check I had for a week was 2K though. Great if you have a partner and get on specifically FedEx routes omg the money is crazy down time not much truck rolling all day
