- In this video I go over how orientation with my Richmond terminal western express journey was this year 2023 and how much you can expect to make. email me for any additional questions or comment. make sure you like and subscribe
A good tip try to only eat a very very small meal before you start driving than don't eat anything else only liquid until u shut down for your 10hr break then pigout it will help you fall to sleep and the fast will keep you healthy I got 27yrs many of my friends had to stop driving because there health got so bad
I agree that is my typical routine lol
Keep up the good work!!
Appreciate it
I start orientation next week for Western Express out of Southern California thanks for the info…..a little nervous but ready for a fresh start in a different career….plan on vlogging on YT as well
How long was the process?
@@KC1986JR not that long I applied then about 2 days later my recruiter called me had me send him more info then had me on the waiting list for about a week
Thanks for the info I'm literally going to Richmond tomorrow start orientation Wednesday
Sorry for the late response, how did it work out?
I've been out the trucking game for 3 years and it was due to health reasons. But I wanna get back to it.
Come on back bro , email me if you ever need to talk over the phone or in private
I stayed out 3 years. I went straight back in without a refresher to Schneider Dedicated. You can get back in pretty easy tbh.
@@candicanejane1146 not for all us🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the insight. I work for them and i am dry van and it’s been hard to make $ net income over $600
I don’t want to be a trainer tho and don’t want to do flat bed as a woman that’s too much for me personally. But iono I’ll figure it out but thanks for the video
I know a flatbed trainer with western, small petite woman and she kicks tail. It's not that bad at all and you'll see tremendously better money
I’m one month in it’s ight. On flatbed. First check 800$ second blessed ona 1300 mile run 1100$ third week gonna be like 600$ and this next one this week already lookin good it’s not even Monday I’m dropping a 850 mile load off tmr trynna get another $1000
Good stuff my guy . Are you northeast region?
@@Jamargary I’m from Illinois but really they been having me run all south states and lower south east. I can’t really complain yet besides I know these should be like 1300-1500 checks but shit for one month only driving I’m cool
Get the experience my guy and become a trainer if you want to
So if I get hired with Western I should do flatbed not dry van? I'm in Danville Va? Just looking for some advice bro because I'm new! Thanks!
Most definitely do flatbed. Better money and we only work during normal business hours
Man i just got hired at western express in scared shitless bro smh
Scared of what? And are you dry van or flatbed and are you otr or regional?
I’m with my trainer doing flat bed I’m from nj but they didn’t tell me if I’m otr or regional and I’m at least tryna make 800 a week
You can easily make that. But make sure they make you regional because you definitely qualify living in nj
@@Jamargary ok thanks w my trainer now I’m done just gotta get back in California n who do I call to find that out or change it
Your dm
Ohio is Midwest they don’t offer regional you know how change address to make it northeast??
Got a call from western but I already have a job lineup for Schneider doing OTR dryvan. How’s Western with policy, pay, hometime? And how’s their equipment?
What state are you based out of? That will determine alot
@@Jamargary I’m in MA northeast
Ok go regional flatbed, you'll make between 1k and 1500 every week and be home on the weekends. No other company is going to pay you better unless you have years of experience. And you're definitely not going home every weekend with other companies. I'm not western anymore but have a best friend that's there who I talk to every day and he averages $1250 weekly and gets home every weekend. Only one time this year he was stuck out over the weekend. I heard they are giving out all new trucks
@@Jamargary will they hire someone who’s not experienced in flatbeds? I have no experience in flatbeds just dryvan
Yes I had no experience at all
I suppose to start out of Richmond in February anybody that’s there or been there gives some updates if it’s worth it or not
Are you dry van or flatbed
I start flatbed the 18th how is it so far ?
@@Jamargaryhow is it I start the 18th
I left western but have people there. Are you regional or otr?
Will Western Express drug test check for Suboxone? Im being prescribed Suboxone and have been medically cleared for it. Was wondering if theyd denie you for having prescribed Suboxone med?
Not sure about that bro
How can I do flatbed? Do you sign up for it before you go to orientation, or can you start orientation and choose flatbed
Sign up before orientation
@@Jamargary thanks bro imma tell my recruiter that asap, because I feel like once you do flatbed u can do anything.
Lol except unload pepsi and family dollar trucks etc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Jamargary i never worked for MClane but I see them unloading to stores like 7/11 so u might as well throw them in there too😂😂
Be for real bro but bring your expectations high man! Your talking 1000/week is a rookie dry van! Flat bed rookie can establish $1600 and keep the ball rolling from there l. Expectation is everything
Where?
Do they to hair follicle testing? I’m curious if so how much hair do they take?
Only urine test
@@Jamargary thank u I was just curious about how much hair they take ( I am drug free)😭 my hair is me but thank you ☺️ hopefully I hear something from a recruiter this following week. I have my Cdl just needing the experience thank u I was just curious about how much hair they take ( I am drug free)😭 my hair is me but thank you ☺️ hopefully I hear something from a recruiter this following week. Is regional available if you live in Buffalo NY
Im in rva thinkn Bout goin to western fltbd , i kno they gonna finesse the hometime I just wonder how far would they go? Just tryna do east coast area
If you’re regional east coast you’ll only stay east coast and get home time every weekend
Yes like @docnasty9472 commented, stricky east coast with the exception of Ohio and Tennessee
@@Jamargary I go in Ohio, WV and VA a lot just left Georgia now in SC
Do y’all have a choice to drive flatbeds or not?
Yes sir
Does Western still go out west!!!????
Yes
I'm starting Dec 11th otr flatbed, should I request to switch to regional?
Most definitely. But you have to live in a eligible area
How much was the paychecks a week after taxes?
Between 1k and 1500 depending on the week my boy who's still there has seen 1700 on his best week
Yes sir
What about starting off pay and what’s the pay difference between flat bed and dry van pay about to start there next month no experience
So if you don’t do flatbed how much you’ll make with w.e?
I honestly can't speak for dry van
If you have no experience 40cmp 2 cent raise every month
Do W.E. Flatbedders on the West Coast do as good as FB doing the N.E. Regional?
I'm not to familiar with the Westcoast but flatbed is the win regardless
Speaking on N.E. region, it's fact's 🤞🏾💯 I moved from Florida to Baltimore 14 years ago and haven't moved back because of the work and money on this end. I visit home few times a year but its definitely money. As a tanker driver, i cant speak on anything else.. videos on page to show paystubs ect.
I'm currently in Maryland now, how much experience did you need to get into tanker and how is your home time
@@Jamargary 6mo otr , and you can come on... It's sweet over here, small mom and pop , I'm on a dedicated account, and you look at my paystub you'll see I only be in Pa and NJ. Far as home time , you go home when ready. It's no such thing as gotta stay out a certain time. I was on regional and going home every week , they let you dictate your own check. I.e. I went back home to Florida for a week, and they let me without no vacation. Btw what part of MD. I'm down by fells point? I can give you more info if like. I'm not here to recruit, but I can direct you in the right place. Only reason I want everyone knows I'm sincere about info I put out. Btw we take truck home, trailer too if wanted too. T.v. direct t.v. , Sirius radio ect.
@@Jamargary and no tanker experience 🤞🏾
Email my Supersonicmoving@gmail.com and I'll give you my number
@@Jamargary I emailed you brother, check email
"Chump Change" is what you can expect to be paid from Western Express!! Lol
Not necessarily true. If you're flatbed or a trainer you can easily see 60k a year or more out the gate
😮 Man that is garbage. My 1st year solo including training I've made close to 75k..
Lol. And how long ago was this first year
@Jamargary Just last year, got my CDL December 2022..
how long were you with the trainer?
Also do they let you choose if you wanna do regional or otr? Im in NJ tryna see if I can be home weekends
I did two weeks training and you have to ask if regional positions are available if not do dry van until it opens
How many miles do you put up per day?🤔
I'm not there anymore but I averaged somewhere between 300-450 a day hit and miss
@@Jamargary Western Express was one of the first companies to try to recruit me. Werner Enterprises, Covenant Transport, TransAm Trucking, Western Express, Covenant Transport, Prime Inc., and Supreme Trucking. I went with Supreme because they paid the most ($1650-$1800 per trip) as well as being the closest to home. It's 1099 and team driving. We go back and forth from New Jersey to the West Coast.
Yoo do you think I’m in the hiring area for regional flat bed, I stay in Tuscaloosa Alabama 35404
To the best of my knowledge there isn't a regional position for Alabama. Thug it out for 3 to 4 months and become a trainer and you can easily make 2k a week
@@Jamargary gotcha
Do they do hair test?
Nope
@@Jamargaryforreal i just shaved my head to haha
You with Double J?
What's that
Where did you get that $97 tv??
Best buy
