I'm a new cdl graduate and I'm from Danville Va. I'm also thinking about applying with Western and people are telling me I'm stupid but I agree with you on everything you said in this video. I've also made some mistakes in my life so I've got a felony that's over 10 years old so I'm not having any luck finding a job so that's 1 of tge reasons I figured I'd try out Western. Do you think they'd give me a shot?

Don’t be fooled, western express is one of the worst, if not the worst trucking companies out there. All around terrible. There’s a reason they’re willing to hire felons and drivers who’ve failed drug tests. They can’t keep people around. Why can’t you keep people around? They’re dogshit.

Quit driving 2019 ...coming back now in May 2024 ..Jerome my recruiter at W.E. got me in orientation next week..last week of May.. I used to haul a pneumatic tanker.. Never a flatbed.. Im 60 y/o but dont mind the extra work as I was used to with the tanker.. I guess my question is ... Im just curious what your opinion is... Well I am a female driver and I had a male trainer who was Haitian and married. He spoke about me during many phone calls according to google translate. He would say things to me like he was not still married for love; He was only still married because he didn’t want to apologize to his kids for anything. When we spoke about the diet of a trucker on the road he stated I didn’t need to worry about that just make sure I keep my shape. We did a 34 in Nevada and I got a room at a hotel and invited him to get his own room. He said he couldn’t afford it and was seemingly irritated by the “get his own room” part. He would edit my logs without my permission and have me approve them without pointing out his edits. He would prop his phone behind the steering wheel and watch movies as he drove down the highway. I was done with hours and backs and he intentionally drove me past the nearest terminal in Oklahoma and accepted yet another load from Laredo Tx going Northwest. I could keep going. Just know, some trainers have good intentions but a lot of them DO NOT. All I can say is no matter the sex make sure you keep a written record and any other proof of the experience you have on your trainers truck and don’t be afraid to speak up. One thing is for certain if the trainee makes one false move the trainer will exit you from the truck without a second thought and that makes this video suspect. Having a CDL means you are too old to be moving or accepting movements from someone else that are less than professional because you have EVERYTHING to lose including your life and freedom. Y’all carryon with the no female thing though when y’all be out here disrespecting your life and your wife like you never seen inside a woman’s underwear and get mad when they throw you under the bus. I turned the Haitian man in…sure did. He said…”oh you have 10000 balls” and I sure do. I am an African American WOMAN and you will not be legally kidnapping me. I have completed what was required. I tucked away my paperwork he had already completed that matched what I had self recorded. I took myself of his truck at the very next truck-stop and called a cab to the nearest hotel. I called the company they apologized profusely reimbursed my cab and hotel and flew me home for hometime. The following week I upgraded to my own truck. That’s how you tell a story when you have no fault. IMO🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ good luck!

Speaking on N.E. region, it's fact's 🤞🏾💯 I moved from Florida to Baltimore 14 years ago and haven't moved back because of the work and money on this end. I visit home few times a year but its definitely money. As a tanker driver, i cant speak on anything else.. videos on page to show paystubs ect.

I would do it but… have a son and tons of bills, I’m kinda shying away from going with western express. I had some things on my record that’s why I thought about going with them. Idk where I’m at now I make 1100 to 1200 a week, but I’m trying to get something OTR without class A experience because I just got my class A. I mean I have a lot of questions honestly and talking to a recruiter is a waste of time.

I hope my experience is good, with all the bad reviews im kinda nervous. My orientation is Monday. I plan on going flatbed. Hopefully I get a decent trainer. I feel you on the last drivers part. I think the complainers are the ones with the worst attitudes even before trucking. Probably couldn’t even hold down a real basic job

OK, I'm kind of busy multitasking and not really paying too close attention to this informative video. But you're telling me that Western Express trainers after their truck payment after their fuel, and after their insurance are bringing home 3500 to $5000 a week. Is that what you said? OK, let's go on the low end and say 3500 a week. OK, that's $14000 a month. You're telling me that's $168000 net income for a trainer at Western Express. I'm calling bullshit right now. Another point I'd like to make is you in your own video just stated what is wrong with this industry right now. You've been driving for 3 or 4 months and you are on your way back to the terminal to become a trainer. Is that what you said? You've been running a flatbed truck for 3 or 4 months now, and you are going to take some poor rookie and you're going to be his trainer. No offense, dude, and this is nothing personal against you. But you have no idea what you're doing after 3 or 4 months as a flat bed driver. Pop quiz hotshot, you have A42 1000 pound. Roller steel on your flat bed suicide configuration. How many change do you need to be compliant as far as securing goes? Let's say you have a flatbed trailer with axles that at least one can be reposition. What's the max allowable weight for your tandems? What do you do if after you're loaded? You have to drive 50 miles to the nearest truck. Stop to get scaled out and you find out that you're now overweight on your tandems. Can you slide your tandems to adjust the weight and scale out? Legally, do you know how to slide your fifth wheel? Do you know how to do that with 42000 pounds on your deck? You're the guy that's now having to make those decisions and also instruct that new green horn. Asked how to rectify this situation. Again, this is nothing personal, but you don't have the knowledge or the experience to know how to deal with these situations. When I finish my work day I will sit down and watch the entire video, and I will be back to make some further comments but do it really, really? Just a cursory viewing of this video and you have not changed my mind about Western Express at all. It's run by bunch of idiots. If you think you're a real truck driver, you've got a long ways to go, buddy. And if you think at 3 or 4 months and experience that you're in a position to be able to instruct and teach someone else how to do this job properly, no chance, buddy. I've been in this industry for over 15 years. I've been pulling step deck for over 4 years. I learned something every day. Yes, I know enough to do the job legally properly and safely you don't. And I'm still just laughing my butt off at you. Claiming that trainers at Western Express make over a $160000. Net, not happening Bubba. I'm an owner-operator my current average pay per mile is $2.32 you do the math.
