OnePlus 8T
If i have to choose one plus 8t
Does 8t has display issue lile 8 pro did u test M
BOTH SOUND REALLY GOOOD

I think the 8T is more targeted to the European market. The S20FE price is around 700€ and the 8T is 599€ so is an easy pick here.
most stores in my country sell the FE for 599euros also
That's cuz u only get the 6 gb variety in UK /Europe
Bro rhe s20fe is already discounted to $100
@@mangonana6925 yes without 5g it will have a weaker exynus processor and Costa 100 dollar less
S20 FE is batter option for batter camera zoom camera and other flagship features like ip68, wireless charging.
The s20FEs camera's are so much better, I'm shocked that OnePlus dropped the ball this much
Yeah they should learned from the last OnePlus 8. At least include the same main sensor as the Pro but no still same 2 years old sensor, yet they add more rubbish extra lens. What are they thinking !?
I would say use a good camera app op8 will kill
Its not bout hardware. They need to improve algorithm
Yes. The camera it's much better with GCam. I have the same camera on my OnePlus Nord and I use GCam.

After spending about a week watching reviews alongside the OnePlus 8T and even the Pixel 5, I wound up buying the S20 FE in December, after 5 years on iPhones. So far I'm very happy with it.
I am very confused between OnePlus 8 pro and S20 FE. How's your FE going on?

8T does not have a telephoto lens, but 7T does and still rules!
I have 7t and it does not have telephoto...it has macro camera

Exactly fe was clearly better especially in that portrait mode

@@ibad3318 just bias for OnePlus
Oneplus 8t display has green tint issue
I noticed that too! The cameras on the 8T are trash!
DEX mode, wireless and reverse wireless charging, 1tb sd card expansion, Samsung pay, amazing cameras, better stereo speakers, etc.
Including ip68
Dex mode mostly a gimmick. Samsung Pay only has value in the USA (maybe Canada). In the UK Google Play and Samsung Pay are both NFC only. So Google Pay is better as there's none of that selecting a card first nonsense. Otherwise agreed.
Some people like Oxygen OS remember.
@@bradavon it's not gimmick when you have tried it.
Oxygen OS is a total ripped off from One UI.
@@johnsecret1318 I have. It wants to be ChromeOS but isn't. Forcing Android apps into windows doesn't suddenly make them more powerful on larger screens. ChromeOS offers the same plus The Full Web. Not cut down Chrome, full Chrome with proper Web App support and actual Touchpad controls.
Besides there's no market for Dex as you'd be better off with a laptop anyway (like a Chromebook). The ability to connect your phone to a TV is super niche when most people are just going to prefer taking a thin and light laptop.
It's nice to have I suppose but ignored by most. I wouldn't add it as a deciding factor.
Oxygen OS is more like the Pixel Launcher than OneUI. Oxygen OS is now the major reason someone would pick a OnePlus.
Samsung phones are great though. I've owned a few.
The FE selfies looked better imo
I'm not sure why all of these phone reviewers shit on the FE's 32 megapixel front facing camera. In my opinion, it's one of the best aspects of the phone and I'm saying this because I actually have one. Maybe I'm just the crazy one, but the FE's front facing camera pictures looked better than the competition in this video as well.
@@afanasibushmanov7463 Its because some reviewers want to disband the duolopoly between Samsung and Apple, so they shit on the bigger company even if the product is better.
tbh i think FE selfies are better too, the color is more accurate (look at the hair)
Samsung is just the better pick.
Yes its way better than the oneplus
When it comes to the design, I honestly think that the camera ruins the whole look of the Oneplus 8T. It just has this weird shape that I sadly can't appreciate. S20 FE got its camera shape look right. The color of the 8T is top notch but wish they added the blue back.
Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about this op! That camera seems just too big... The op8 camera placement was waaay better, even opnord placement was better. So sad, op8t lost a point for that
Which color do you mean? The green one?
Personally i like the oneplus better, but just like with android skins, it all comes down to your personal preference
The review I was waiting for and you killed it
Thank you ! ❤️
Nice vid! I'm currently looking between these two. With the 8T now $599(and me needing dual SIM), it's likely what I will purchase...
Coming from pixel XL 3 I love the s20 fe looks and feels premium performs premium I was worried cause I've had pixel XL for years but this fe is bad ass !
I'm using OnePlus 7 Pro and very happy with it. In this video, I like S20 FE camera better than OP 8T. I'll pick S20 FE between the two. Good job Samsung.
Have you got the s20FE ? How is it?
3:05 Disagree, the OnePlus 8T looks too bright and washed out
Plus we can install Gcam only for selfies and that should reduce that "hypothetical" difference.
I never understand why oneplus will not give solid camera performance. Considering all their price hikes. SMH.
I was hoping someone would mention this because I was thinking the same thing.
yes, the photo from samsung is way better

I traded in my s10 cuz I was so tired of the curved screen. It was 237 dollars after trade in and edu discount. For that price the fe was a winner for me
i think it important for many people who watching, you did a great job there but in my opinion - it is important to remind the IP68 the FE got and the OnePlus 8T does not, even if its just a "certification" and in fact maybe the 8T really has some resistance.
Thanks for the Vid!
If you get it through T-Mobile in the US it has the IP68 rating. It is essentially the same phone, T-Mobile just decided the certification would help them sell more units. Not sure if the unlocked retail version comes with the typical OnePlus clear case but the T-Mobile version does not. Maybe that is where they made up the cost difference to keep it at $749.
@@RoadRage810 i think T-Mobile did a good move there but for the rest of the world who will promise this cert.? i mean i don't think i can order it all the way from Israel it will cost twice the original price and not even with TAX, and by the way, is it unlocked? i hope i could visit US soon so i can maybe buy not the oneplus or xperia but the Sony Xperia 5 II.
I'm not sure of their unlock procedure if you buy it outright from them. However according to inside sources, absolutely nothing is different with the unlocked and T-Mobile version other than T-Mobile wanted the certification. They are sealed the same. I have been a multi manufacturer certified repair tech for 24:years and honestly, the certification is meaningless. If you bring in a phone for repair and it has been wet, regardless of whether it is IP68 certified or not, your options are to buy a new one or file an insurance claim. No carrier or manufacturer will cover it under warranty for liquid damage anyway. As long as they tried to make it water resistant to some extent, then certified or not, you are getting the same answer if it gets liquid inside.
@@RoadRage810 Thanks Sir for this respond, after alot of struggle between and behind the scenes of the "IP" rating and the certification now i can say after your explanation that i understand what it means and i think i will not be afraid to buy a phone without this cert so thank you very much, honestlly you sure solve my issue here :)
@@TecNightOfficial you're welcome. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro 5g currently and it is not IP rated. After carrying it through snow, rain, mid and everything else it is working just fine and shows no signs of liquid or dust intrusion. S20 FE has IP68 water and dust resistance and Samsung PAY. Big Deals!! Low light ultrawide was just way better on the FE. Although I give both a pass , until next gen 5nm Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 1080 and the 2100 comes out.
8t also got ip68 rating for Tmobile variant. They didn't try to get an official rating to reduce the price as always.
the oneplus 8t hasn't IP68 directly, but if you search in youtube "Oneplus 8t/oneplus 8 waterproof test" you can see that has water and dust resistance. Personally, in my country we don't use Samsung pay and isn't a big deal in my perspective. But I'm agree with you with the cameras. The problem in USA is that Oneplus just sell the 12gb of ram and 256gb of storage version and they aren't selling the 8gb of ram and 128gb of storage version in USA (would be around 599 USD in USA that version).
What’s so good on Samsung pay? Google pay has support in more countries.

What's crazy is this S20fe has more features compared to some $1,000 plus phones. That 30x space zoom is solid, the 120hz display is great, wireless power share is a neat feature and something alot of reviewers don't mention which I think is a fantastic feature on this phone and Samsung phones in general is the "Portrait video Mode".
Whats the background pic on Oneplus 8t called? Or where can i find it?
Hey Matthew, fun fact :
8T costs 590$ while S20FE costs 680$ in India.

Still using my galaxy s9 but the battery is about to go. I think I bought it for around 6 or 7 hundred. The FE might be a possible upgrade. I think I might wait another year though
I also have the galaxy S9, but the iris scanner, the 3d touch home button and the relatively compact size keep me from upgrading.
Plus, I prefer curved displays so going to a flat display will feel like a downgrade for me.
I hope samsung releases something like the S10e alongside the S21 series next year.

No sir not in India.
Naaaaruuuutooooooo!
Exynos 990
So, cancel samsung and dont buys exynoss shit
5g version has the snapdragon in India.
The 5G version runs snapdragon 865 all over the world.
I looked at both of these phones to see which one I should buy for a family member. They were previously on a OnePlus One (not a typo!) and was long due an upgrade. The Samsung S20 FE seemed to be the winner in my eyes (due to the support for SD card), but the price was too high for the 5G model (£699.99GBP (around $905USD)) and the ring around the front-camera looked distracting.
The OnePlus 8T is sold in the United Kingdom for £549GBP, which is roughly $710USD. I opted to import the phone from China (via Oppomart) for $549USD (£424GBP), for a saving of £125GBP or around $162USD. That saving alone is enough to easily swing my purchase behaviour towards OnePlus even though I am not a fan of their new pricing structure.
Thank you for the video, this helped me figure out what to do :)
Well methew I finally go with Samsung s20fe very nice video 👍

Also, next year's phones should have BT 5.2 + LE Audio, Wi-Fi 6E and AV1 hw decoding. So phones having all that, (at least) 8 GiB RAM and a flagship-grade CPU/GPU should quite future-proof.

The third contender would be the Huawei P30 Pro "New Edition" which Huawei renew since to Google regulations with the P40.

Its important to remember that a lot of us who work either in fields with sensitive data, or in certain government fields, the choice of Chinese phones simply isn't there. I'm just glad they are no longer making us buy IPhones.
Yep, it’s either iPhone or Samsung rn.
What makes you think that oneplus 8t is a better phone?
One plus 8T Don't have over S20fe
1. No expandable storage
2. No Samsung dex
3. No telephoto 8mp with OIS (take note only flagship phones has telephoto because it is more expensive sensor and more useful for class if you are at the back in concerts and in other more)
4. No IP68
6. No xbox cloud gaming
7. One UI is better than Oxygen OS. Oxygen Os is overrated
8. Cannot shoot 4k front camera
9. Don't have wireless charging
10. Don't have reverse wireless charging
Stick with s20fe that is a better the better phone.
Its not xiomi bro oneplus is more concerned about security than a y other Chinese brands there server are in Singapore do no data sharing with Chinese govt.
@@nathanjuan6042 Exactly. I don't see how the 8T is better
@@e39purist89 Yeah specially the Costumer Service of Samsung is great. Samsung's Costumer Service is probably 2nd to apple or maybe better that is why your warranty is worth it and the value of the phone is better than other competitors also it is already 3yrs of OS support.
I had to pause on that Selfie sample where you said you preferred the 8T
Are......you doing drugs, mate?
Is it worth getting the FE on snapdragon over the S20+ on exynos?
Very objective evaluation ✔
Oneplus grew fast but will fall faster if they keep trying to be the "apple" of androids.
they been growing for quite some time now, they've always delivered quality especially when they first came out imo i doubt they will fall any time soon
They need to lower the price
@@TobyMayne1 but... They lowered. 8t starting price is less than 8's price
@@Mirimes yet not lower than Samsung S20 FE.
@@AchiragChiragg so? S20 still costs more... What's the point of this comparison?
He said that op prices were growing, but 8t costs less than 8 so it's not a true statement, whether you're happy with the current price or not
here in india the price situation is exactly opposite
one plus 8T is for 586$
S20FE is for 685$
i would take the one plus any day
Good decision. But beware of those peeps who say boycott china there :D
@@rakeshiyer5637 they can do nothing .. S20FE offers shitty Exynos ..
So we didn't get a chance, must go with 8T
@@rakeshiyer5637 yes, the cleric beast is OP 8T and s20 fe is maneater boar, lmao
@@aureliano_37 Haha then who's Goliath Pig?? Must be Pixel 5 :P
Ur missing out on IP68 rating on the SAMSUNG
It's just in usa and canada, all the other countries have oneplus 8T at lower price.
Definitely i would pick up the fe for the sake of 3x optical telephoto camera
The T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 8T is in fact going to be IP 68 water resistant
Isn't that the 5g varient if so then compare the s20 fe 5g too
No wireless charging is a deal-breaker for me. Makes the choice between these two very easy.
you don't even need it, it's slower, heats the phone up, bad for your electricity bill and also damages the environment and is more expensive, you need a wire still anyway.
Same. Quite disappointed that it doesn't have wireless charging. WC is just so convenient. Usb c ports tend to be damaged in the long run as well just like my Pixel 3xl
How do the haptics compare?
Considering that in benchmarks the simple 1+ 8 is still above any S20, except for Note S20 Ultra, its no brainer what I would chose in terms of performance
Lol s20 is the new beast in the town now.
