oneplus 8t is ip68 in fact, the t mobile version is rated. because it takes money to get the rating, so they decide to not to do it for general consumers buying from their website to cut down the price!
I am on my third OnePlus phone right now and every phone I have had from them has been amazing. Plus if you are a power user like I am and you manage multiple social media accounts for clients you can install duplicate apps like Twitter and Instagram to double the amount of accounts you can sign in on one device it's called parallel apps on OnePlus devices. These devices I believe are the only ones that I know of that offer this. Sold me!
Just saw the camera segment (I am interested in buying a new phone from the ones that came out late last year), and I have to say, camera comparisons are subject to one's taste. I personally preferred the 8T pictures in every scenario besides the selfie camera. Especially the night mode in the 8T was more natural (pixel's was overexposed) and with better dynamic range, that bubbly building in the background looked a lot sharper on the 8T's night shot. Not to mention in the pixel shots the sky has noise and in that photo with the building, it also had artifacts. As for the macro camera, which I will be super happy to have, cropping into an image can not deliver the same detail as having macro focus, even if the image does not have a lot of noise. Now as far as the monochrome sensor goes, this is used in computational photography to improve low light shots, which to me, it does as opposed to the pixel's shots!

Hi, Unfortunately Pixel 5 is not coming to India, for reasons unknown to us all. We don’t have a choice but to opt for One plus 8/8T as it’s closest to stock android. Having said that given an option, i would definitely choose Pixel 5 over One plus becoz of 3 reasons. 1) Stock android with absolutely no bloatware, Google makes the best software experience. Most of us in India, start searching XDA for Pixel camera port on one plus device as soon as it comes in our hand. Google Photos instead of One plus gallery, Google dialer instead of One plus dialer, everything is just better on Pixel. 2) I sincerely believe that 6/6.1 inch is sweet spot for non bezel phones. OEMs are making bigger and bigger phones which are absolutely very painful to use while taking calls or messaging. I believe using a smart phone for media consumption and other related tasks are secondary, An average consumer uses his phone for taking calls and messaging/ Chatting most of his day at work, Its only at bed time when an average consumer watches video/Plays games etc. 3) Camera on pixel will always be the best on any Android phone period!! What on earth Google thought when they decided not to launch Pixel 5 in India, They could have outsold all one plus and samsung devices looking at the craze its developed with getting their design Right.
All 3 reasons you gave are exactly what you said...your opinion. I'll take my note20U any day over both of these. Like Saf said "I like bigger screens due to consuming a lot of media". Maybe you have small hands or something but why would it be a sweet spot with a 6in screen? I have a lot of indian friends in the states and almost to a man carry note 10+ or note 20U. Haha if you bother to shoot in pro mode on the note20U and set it up correctly it will destroy both of these. I also have to laugh at 4meg ram. Try 12 like the samsung, once again both get toasted. Question: have you ever had and set up a Note20U correctly? If not then you can't say your pixel is the best android experience. Thats my opinion back by facts !!!!!!
The 8T is a great value without a doubt but I just don't want a phone that's this large. It's about 10cm taller than my current phone while the Pixel 5 is about 5cm smaller and still has a much larger screen. I like a compact phone. That new iPhone mini looks very interesting but I don't really care for switching to iOS.
So, I got the Pixel 5 and had a good time with it overall but I had to return it because I was a victim of the screen gap issue you may have heard of. I opted for a refund rather than a replacement because I figure, I may as well be able to buy it again at a better price over the holidays. However, I've had more time to consider other options as well. Both the OnePlus 8T and the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE are really compelling. My main issue with both is the size. I really do like a compact phone. The Pixel 5 is actually a little bit smaller than the Nokia 8 I currently use and has a significantly larger screen. That felt really great. Regarding the Samsung specifically, I'm not a fan of the software and the overall design language. The OnePlus one the other hand, has a comparatively weaker camera. If the OnePlus came with the Samsung's camera or if the Samsung had the software of the OnePlus, I'd probably get either and just get used to the size. But as it stands, I think I'll just wait for a better offer on the Pixel 5 and buy that again. The weaker chipset doesn't bother me. Perfectly fine for light general use which is all I do on my phone. The speakers are good enough; still an upgrade over my old phone. I also grew to like the wireless charging option. I was skeptical but I do see the appeal now even though it's only a minor convenience.
This is the only way for me to know about these phones. Never can afford but love to see these videos. That one plus 8 t looks fabulous to me. BTW your tesla looks badass.
