    Between this company and kempower they need to put the squeeze on all the suppliers for evgo and ea the unreliability of those chargers with those networks is astounding and completely unacceptable

    High prices per KW is not the best way to advance the EV market. Remember that traditional gas stations only make a few cents per gallon. That’s why the convenience store was born to associate with gas sales. Get the customer out of the car and into the store to purchase food and drinks because that’s where the profits are. Great interview.

      Price per Kelvin-Watts? That won't work.
      Per kWh, per minute or a combination is the common way.
      A pure per kWh is the most optimal as it enables load sharing..

    I wonder if IONNA will go with Alpitronic.
    Edit: I see they’re in Charlotte, not far from IONNA’s Durham HQ.

    Great show Francie! You and Batteries Included are my two main podcasts and also Autoline Daily / Autoline After Hours. I usually listen while working around the house (dishes, laundry, straightening/organizing, etc) or getting ready for work (Friday mornings-Batteries Included). Frequently, I do watch some while I work but I often am just listening as I have my phone in my pocket as I move around the house.
    Love the shows with Jordan. You both have great team energy. You work really well together and compliment each other well. I hope to see him on the podcast frequently.
    Keep up the great work! Cheers!

    Good interview, thank you. Was disappointed that Mike did not provide further details for Alpitronic or Mercedes Benz plug and charge solution that all of us EV owners want. I watched Kyle's Las Vegas back to Colorado EV SUV video in which the MB EQS SUV plug and charge started working on EA. This surprised Kyle but shows that MB and EA are turning this feature on. I would expect any EV charger that signs with MB would have to provide this solution, not something that comes after deployment. This needs to be investigated further.

    Any tie in to Ionna? Fast and reliable would be nice. Looking forward to the sites map and announcements. 1 billion dollars is nice, over what time frame? Love they already are made in the US and meet all the requirements. This is a big deal.

    Thanks Question: Since you have a Tesla EV and driven a Fisker Ocean like me. When you have your Tesla in your garage and charging or not does it get very Warm inside your Tesla compared to the Fisker Ocean. My Fisker seems to be very warm for some reason after charging overnight. Also, my Mirror fan is now coming on even though I have Software version 2.0. Also, does this warm inside true of all EV's like the RIVIAN, etc...

    • @jirwin32
      @jirwin32 Месяц назад

      @@oj9886as tesla can make money on all the other parts of their business, so they don't need to make as must or really any money per site currently. Like how gas is sold for very little margin to get people into the shop.
      As tesla can get value on the sale of cars, and as nudge factor in buying a tesla over other manufacturers.
      I think tesla aggressive pricing more about keeping there existing sites busy so to make a little more money per site. Also partly to keep competition in check, so there will not be lots of national rival popping up for a while.
      As for all other non car manufacturers backed CPO it has to have some margin to pay back all the costs in getting the site up and running or they not going to get the financing required to build out the sites.
