P.S. Sorry if I don't reply right away to messages/comments, life has been crazy lately and it's super hard keeping up with social media sometimes, please don't feel like I'm ignoring you or that I don't care because I do! I wish I had more hours in the day! Hugs to you all and I wish you the best!
We met when I was 7 at a diner in DisneyWorld. I was watching this video and I compared your photo to my autographed picture side by side, it was definitely you. You were so nice, one of my favorite princesses I met. You told me how much you loved my dress and I can't tell you how many times I bragged that PRINCESS JASMINE liked MY dress! You made my childhood just saying!
Amy Alexander That is a sweet story! What a wonderful memory :)
@@mckenna8663 Lovely!
Princess Jasmine has always been one of my favorite princesses. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and "secrets" with us!! I must admit I'm a little heartbroken at the list of requirements I've seen to actually work at Disney but I guess it's necessary :-/ I'm going to turn 26 years young in October and I couldn't be happier to remain a child inside :-)
Sending you a HUGE hug... I hear you g/f, I hear you. Thank you for watching the vids on my channel, means a lot! PLEASE always keep that child inside! I think it's so beautiful when people have that. xo
You could apply to work at local princess birthday companies.
Best Jas ever...you the best Jen!!!! Dat stare!! And dat personality. So incredible. Love everything you do!!!
Watching this for about the 5294725th time along with all your other videos!!! You're amazing jennifer❤️❤️
So obsessed with DisneyWorld omg. I went for the first time Spring Break 2016! I probably won't but I've always wanted to audition for Snow White :)
Cassady Lampert Are you a fan of Snow White? I love her!! She just doesn't get enough love
I love how detailed and how genuinely interested you are in helping girls prepare for future auditions! Princess Jasmine is gorgeous, but I would love to fill the role of Sleeping Beauty. Do you by chance happen to know any retired sleeping beauties that would be willing to give some makeup advice. I know eyes are a big thing for Jasmine and I am interested to know what is essential for Aurora. Thanks so much for your time!
I'm so jealous of how full and thick your eyebrows naturally are! I have to fill mine in whenever I wear makeup 😭 lol
I always love your videos Jennifer! You're amazing and hopefully I can keep your legacy alive and be friends with Jasmine one day
Katrina Roland thank you so much! You made my night! HUGS TO YOU!! ahhh! you guys on my channel are seriously the best viewers everrrrrrrrrr! can't handle it. lol. Yes, go be Jasmine! xo
Omg in the last part of the video, you sound Just like Jasmine! "Oh Aladdin"
I'm auditioning on Friday!!! I'm totally using this make up look! Thank you!!!
How did your audition go?
Looks great!! My 2 year old niece is loving princess jazmine at the moment!!! She's her favorite Disney Princess!!
you sound just like jasmine and you still look just like her you are gorgeous!!
way awesome..... gosh I had no idea really how much there was to makeup. I loved it especially at the end being Jasmine.... the lines you would use being her. I was wondering about the wigs and how they stayed on like if a kid were to incidentally pull the hair and how it stays in place. I didn't think about pins etc. You did a great job with Jasmine makeup, even though its been a while. Im amazed at how makeup can really change facial features etc. impressive. :D
that's actually a great way of getting the glue on the eyelashes, I will definitely give that a go!
shannonshaffer of
I just rewatched aladdin the other day and i realized how much you actually look like Jasmine! I bet you were an excellent performer! thanks for all these informative videos you do (though they definitely ignite my dream of working as a character performer despite being in nursing school) :)
Abigail, you melted my heart with your comment and you made me feel like having a YT channel isn't totally in vain. :D Best wishes in nursing school! I have a special place in my heart for nurses!
You still look so gorgeous as Jasmine. Love it.
wow, thank you!
Jennifer, your teeth are so white! I know in the confessions video you mentioned you use crest white strips, could you do a review of it? Love your videos!
ahhhh! I just realized you worked there while I was doing the disney college program. haha how crazy :)
ROCK ON! :D
Im so happy that this is finally a separate video because ive gone back about 10 times to the Confess. Part 3 video and watched your little tutorial you clipped in there! SO HAPPY!
Jasmine is my favorite Disney princess
(sigh) you melted my heart there. Growing up, Aurora was my fave, but of course, my feelings have changed over the years, for obvious reasons, lol. thanks for messaging and happy new year! xo
I bet you made lots and lots of great memories being princess Jasmine! That is so awesome, I'm jealous!!!! 😊
can't wait to try this out, you are gorgeous!
I absolutely love watchih your videos! You have an amazing personality btw😄 oh and your daughter is adorable!
Ashleigh Braddock You're so sweet!
Am I the only one that laughed really hard when she said "WHERE U FROM IM FROM IRAN U LOOK LIKE DE WOMEN FROM MY CANTRY" LMFAOOOOOO that was so funny! Totally subscribing to you!
+Amanda Perez love you
Love this makeup tutorial!!
I should defiantly give it a go ( even though I am not so good in putting on makeup ) xx
Matilda Gilles Best wishes Matilda! Thanks for enjoy this video! means a lot! tag me or tweet me your pic if you do this makeup look! Would love to see!
This is awesome!!!!!!! You are so beautiful!!!!!!! I really respect Disney princess cast members because of the auditions they went through lol.. I could never be a Disney princess probably because I have a deeper voice and there are no princesses with a deeper voice! But I loved this video!! Shows me I gotta step up on my make up looks!! 💖
Oh my gosh!! You are sooo beautiful!!!
thank you for being so sweet!
Hi Jennifer!
I was wondering how many princesses were hired at one time? For example, how many Princess Jasmine's including you were there?
You are great at make up! You're the perfect Jasmine! Awesome video:)
I love your channel. You should make more pregnancy vlogs and make more videos in general. You are so entertaining! I love it
You look as beautiful as ever!
blackninja546 thank you so very much! I tried!
Oh my gosh I loved how you mentioned the unibrow! I was made fun of as a kid for my unibrow. You are so right how the tables turn. It makes me so happy when I get brow compliments now because not too many years ago (Okay like 15) thin brows were in.
hahaha, thanks for the comment! yay for furry brows! Lol
This is beautiful! I think you did a great job!
Thank you! hope you're doing well! ♥♥
Loved it! Your so gorgeous and the perfect Jasmine! :)
thanks for the video I'm not very good with makeup but this will definitely help with me as Jasmine for a halloween party
+Janeely Son OH I'm so so glad! Tweet me a pic or tag me on IG, I'd love to see how it turns out! xo
I love how down to earth she is, glad she didn't the "fame" of being a Disney princess get to her. Natural charm ❤
+Donna Anguiano thank you, Donna! ❤
+Jennifer Oakes Your welcome! Sorry for the typos lol
I absolutely LOOOOVE your eyebrows, does Disney have protocols about that, like, they have someone that takes care of them for you, or you have to do it yourself? Thanks for the videos
How would you handle it if a kid Said to you "You're not the real Princess Jasmine!" Or something like that. I would love to work at Disney World!
Dyl Bange you just have to stay acting like what character you are and just deal with it like they would
(Note- I am using my daughters account) I used to work as Snow White. I would pinch my arm and say "I'm not the real me? Well then, who am I?"
You're much much better than a lot of makeup gurus on RUclips !
But did your foundation had to be a specific shade or did it had to be your normal shade ?
YOU MADE MY DAY!!! hahaha, thank you so, so much! You are so encouraging. I wish I could hug you. It had to be our normal shade. I think Disney did their best to try and cast the specific princesses to be the same skin color anyway just to keep us looking alike from park to park and day to day. xoxo
ahahah i love you! I always laugh with yout videos and make me happy! why dont I live in Orlando so we can be friends!!!!
I KNOW!! I always wish you lived closer! hahaha! LOVE YOU TOO!
Also did you ever get asked to tan or spray tan to look darker?
Did it hurt smiling all day? I worked at a christmas shop once and my cheeks just ached from smiling.
I loved Mac foundation it lasted for ages! Now I'm either a tinted moisturiser or Max Faxtor depending on if I'm going out. How did you wing the brown out? I have that palette. I love it. It's nearly a year since I did my disney makeup that you did. I thought I was the only one who did the white in the inside. False lashes, my eyes don't like. I want your brows lol!
You looks really like jasmine 👍
Can you do a video talking about your most funny and maybe embaressing moments as jasmine and Pocahontas? Can you maybe show any dances, poses, or waves you did as those princesses?
Going back and watching this video for the millionth time 😍
I was wondering, what are you to do if you aren't very good at applying false eyelashes? I'm assuming you aught to improve overtime but at first if you are just a stinker at applying lashes were there people there to help you and teach you things if you had questions in the morning?
💙💚💜
did you ever have to wear your hair like pincurled or something like that so there weren't bumps in your wig? I'm in theatre and we have to do that whenever we wear wigs and it's such a drag especially when you have very long hair like me
+Daisy Chavez Hey Daisy, no, I don't recall having to do any sort of pincurl or anything... I remember the Disney wigs were all very "BIG".. I don't know if that made a difference or not?? maybe other girls who had more hair than I did had to?? that's awesome you have long hair! rock on!
I love your videos and I had a question, when you played Jasmine in the parks, did you play her as though you were in the midst of her story? Or as if the movie was over? I saw someone meet Megara and they talked about how she had to work for Hades everyday (like she did for most of the movie). And when you meet Rapunzel her hair is still long, so do you play as though your in the middle of the movie?
No you're at the end of your original movie. Rapunzel always tells guests that Cinderella's fairy godmother makes her hair long and blonde again because she missed it. Meg said when you have to work for hades everyday , like when she did. Everybody is at the end of their original movie, I hope that helps :-).
And yet Mulan is still bothered what the match maker thinks and wears clothing she doesn't feel represents her :(??
I have always wanted to work at disney world as a princess, but I never know what princess I look like. I am half white and half Hispanic. I was wondering if the girls who played jasmine when you were there always looked exactly like her...
You would be a great Pocahotas as well as jasmine!
I mean if they cast her as Jasmine then I'm sure you don't have to be an exact look alike.
looked beautiful
Your daughter is so adorable!
Super awesome!!!
Question, what do you need to be a princess at disney?
Miriam Méndez Vergara Hey Miriam! thanks for liking the video! If you have time, def check out "Confessions of a Retired Disney Princess part 2 & 3"..I hope those answer a lot of your questions!
love your videos and you make me now more curious about the Disney Princess lol. How many Jasmines are in the makeup room at the same time? How do you feel when you see a Jasmine at the park? Not everyone can say my mom is a real princess. Why did you quit? Is there a age range? sorry but I'm pumped lol
+Adlin Figueroa hahaha, it's all good. thank you for enjoying the videos! I only ever remember getting ready with another Jasmine when there was a special occasion, such as for holidays, when one was doing the parade and the other one (usually me, was going to get ready for meet and greet sets). But on staff, I remember about five to seven jasmines at one time. I love seeing Jasmine at the park! I always get excited and happy for whoever is playing the role. Especially now that I have a daughter, it's especially special. I left to go to seasonal status when I realized the hours were way too long and I had felt like I needed to earn more money, so I became a licensed esthetician and decided to work at the Disney spa doing facials.. but I did continue doing the Jasmine character for a few more years and left after they told me I was too old looking. lol. Yeah, the age range varies girl to girl (guy to guy) .. once you start to "look old".. they kick you out, so it's important to have a back up plan, haha, Cinderella has to stay looking young forever. ;)
Hey Jennifer! Beautiful makeup to match an equally beautiful woman! I had a quick question that popped into my mind while watching this video. I know that for me I have really oily skin and even when I use a primer, still have to do makeup "touch ups" throughout the day. While you were on a break did you have to touch up your makeup? Like if your nose started to shine did you apply more power? Or if a really special guest came to see you and your eyes started to water did you reapply liner? Thanks so much for all of your videos and instagram posts!
thanks for watching and commenting! I did use oil absorption sheets at some points if I needed them, especially during summer. If makeup came off I'd just reapply powder, I loved that mac studio fix powder so much. have you tried it?
as for the eye liner, I think I reapplied it to my water line, but I swore by Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, it never ever budged.
thanks for being so sweet, hopefully I answered your questions! ♥♥ Happy thanksgiving!
Very pretty
aww, so sweet! thank you!
When you were done with your shift did you ever just take of your costume and walk around with your Jasmine makeup on? Or was that not allowed? I feel like I've seen girls with really done up faces and I wondered if they were a princess off duty LOL
We're the earrings with the jasmine costume clip ons?
Lovely video just showing my support stay bless
thank you sooo soo much! hugs to you!
Sephora has been around for years though. I started wearing makeup in 2002 when I was 10 and I'd buy Hard Candy from Sephora. Was Sephora only here in California back then?
I'm not sure.. I have been hearing about people knowing about Sephora from way before I did.. maybe it just hadn't caught on nationwide.. in Orlando, the "big mall" in the early 2000s was Millenia Mall.. if Sephora wasn't there, then they weren't "a thing".. not in Orlando. :D But the important thing is, we finally got a Sephora here and now it's everything. lol.
Can you please do a Belle inspired look??
I know! I sooo need to! :D okay, I'll try and get one up if not in February, then def by Spring.. you've convinced me it needs priority! :D
wow! (I know this was posted like over a year ago, but) You look brilliant for your age!
+Marie Lord awwwwwwwww, I could hug you! Thank you so much! It's challenging keeping up with skincare after kids but I do try and make sure to wear spf when I can. ❤
Well you're doing a super job at it! Hope you're all doing well:)x
Yay
Myki Prim yay!
does Disney use Ben Nye now for their face characters?
I know they use the Ben Nye Final Seal for their setting spray, but I would assume they use a lot of Ben Nye products for makeup and effects too.
I know a lot of girls who put eyeliner on the inner lid. I could never wear liquid eyeliner or eyeliner near the bottom lid or tear ducts without them watering. Never wore mascera either bc it bothered my eyes.
They need to create a princess with brown hair and blue eyes! I'm feeling left out 😔
They need to create a mixed princess. You can wear contacts, I can't change my skin.
Madalynn Mason Have you seen Moana yet? She's pretty close. And no, I can't wear contacts... I'd need them to be both coloured and prescription, which is flaming expensive!
I do apologize for assuming. All I meant was that it's harder for some girls. And yes I have seen Moana, she is Pacific Islander, although I could pass as her I'd feel funny about it especially since the costume debacle last Halloween.
Rose Glover Esmeralda is pretty close, brown skin and green eyes 😊
did they supply you with the makeup you used or did you have to use your own makeup?
inspireme714 they supplied you with all the makeup you needed, it was the Ben Nye makeup brand. I wasn't a huge fan of their products, however, so I always just brought my own makeup. :)
I recommend bye bye foundation and bye bye foundation finishing powder ;) :) thank you for the videos :)
and THANK YOU for the suggestion! I'm in the market for a new powder! where do you buy it?!
i think wallmart has it its called bye bye foundation finishing powder from it cosmetics and it works like heaven ;)
I hear so many great things about it cosmetics! Thanks!
your welcome :) it might be a little expensive but it's worth it jiji :) ;)
I'm sad not to see the Jasmine winged eyeliner but it's still a nice look.
ah, yes, I almost made the wing go all out but truth is I didn't always wear a super long wing, plus there's a rumor going around that Disney wanted to do away with it. thanks for watching! (in confessions 3 I do Jasmine makeup and I make more of a winged liner look there) ♡
+Jennifer Oakes oh ok. Sorry i hope i didn't sound rude. the way u did it is how arab women esp the older generation did their makeup...so you're probably more authentic to the time period. it was the Mughal princesses who were pictured with winged liner in real illustrations n portraits from the time. The arab ones did it like u.
+AfridiZindabad hahaha, oh cool! no you didn't sound rude.. the winged liner is super popular & fun! and I did do it like that sometimes, but it'll be interesting to see what happens at the parks, whether they do away with it for certain or not. I think it just depends who is in cosmetology and management and how strict they are with the girls in the cosmetology department. I often was scolded by the cosmetologists for adding glitter to my eye shadow.. I suppose I was wishing I had pixie dust. haha, I don't know why I was obsessed with glitter at the time, but I was... shame shame on me!
Jennifer Oakes haha you should have worked as a pixie like Fawn, at pixie hollow. you would have loved it.
I would LOVE to audition to be princess Jasmine and have heard that they want all of the Jasmines to look similar. I actually am Middle Eastern with darker skin, so do you think they wouldn’t pick me because I don’t look like the Caucasian girls they pick?
Was Jasmine always your favorite Disney princess or did she become your favorite after you played her?
Hey Nadia! she became my favorite after playing her. As a kid Aurora was my favorite, then Jasmine. You might say Aurora is still my favorite but my actions speak otherwise. lol. I have a soft spot for all the princesses, each for different reasons, Mulan is amazing, Merida too. 💖 who is your favorite?
+Jennifer Oakes Jasmine has been my favorite since as long as I can remember to be honest. I saw Aladdin at like 4 and I really liked her. But my other favorites are Ariel and Meg from Hercules. Even though Meg isn't considered a Disney princess I think she should be one a long with Esmeralda.
Would you suggest wearing this amount of makeup to an audition to portray the Jasmine look?
I'm not Jennifer, but she always says to just wear how much makes you feel comfortable and confident!
Emma Hughes exactly!
Jessica Sanchez I would wear only as much as you're comfortable with. But highlighting your dark eyes won't hurt. Hope this helps! xo
Did any of the girls playing jasmine use tanner?
You should not have to appologise for a fuller face! You're beautiful! Thanks for the vid! Really enjoyed.
I don't like hearing about makeup artists who use their fingers. Using a brush is more sanitary. And how do I know if they've washed their hands or not?
As a Disney princess, were you responsible for creating your own makeup look for the character? Or did they do makeup for you
+LivingLaVidaDee They never did makeup for us except for during the princess training initially, but after that, it's up to you to stick to the look they first taught you (to the best of your ability).. some shades were a "MUST" but sometimes you had a little room to experiment and be creative. xo
I was thinking, when your kids get older, will you tell them about the time you worked as a princess, or will you keep it a secret? Like, how would you explain it if you were to, and will you ever?
Laura Roth She'll probably tell them when they're at the age where they realize the princesses and characters at Disney aren't real. After they're old enough, there's no reason to keep it a secret.
Do you know of any girls who do an Ariel makeup tutorial that copy what she wears at Disney?
I like the pink cheeks.
Can we hear your Jasmine Voice !
aaahhh, hahhaha.. I should do it more! hopefully in another video..
i worked there around the same time you did i wonder if we have crossed paths?
I love your princess jasmine makeup look that exactly how Jasmine her eyes look in the movie some time Disney wheat face princess do there makeup just like the princess character and so I konw that Jasmine she does not put glitter on her eye bet some of the face queen Elsa they have glitter on there eye Bet Elsa does
thanks for your sweet comment and for watching! means a lot! ♥♥
If you have any secrets on Peter Pan...Let me know haha
I really want to work as a Disney princess but I'm too tall :(
+Black&WhiteDream awwwww, I'm sorry to hear that! Rachel was 5'9" and they made an exception. xo
I'm guessing if you're blonde you won't have a high chance of being jazmine?
hahaha, hard to say, to be honest, I don't think I ever met a blonde Jasmine. ♥♥
+Jennifer Oakes
Oh lol I just thought you could shade your eyebrows black and just wear the wig if you wanted to be jasmine but you were blonde 😂
My name is said so many times during this vid XD
Baby lips is a terrible product. It made my lips so much drier and crack all the time. I switched asap after i realized it was the reason my lips were so chapped.
Oh wow! it's never done that for me, I wonder if the one you used was expired? what balm do you like best?
i didn't have the chapstick very long. i also stopped buying beauty products tested on animals as well. I use blistex now, they're listed as cruelty free, i never have a problem with dry cracked lips like i had when using baby lips.
Have you checked your mail lately
I worked in the entertainment department as a face character from 87-98. They were very strict on our makeup being the same every single day for all of us and since we all used our own hair, not wigs, our colors were all the same and same length. our makeup was provided to us, we never had to buy any. FYI, Disney has found and sued successfully ppl who have posted on any socia media that they use to play or still do play characters. I would be very careful about posting things like this video talking all about you being Jasmine from 04-09. disney is strict on keeping the magic and as an ex employee you should know that!
I'm a white girl! 😂😊
lol it's alllll good in the hood..
Hi! I love watching your videos, but I believe that your foundation is to light for you and perhaps even the undertones are not flattering
So you had to pay for your make-up?? REALLY?? doesnt make sense
Pierre Demester Lol she didn't have to, she chose to buy her own. Disney provides you with the makeup products (Ben Nye makeup), but sometimes the ladies don't like the quality of the products so they buy their own products from a different brand that they like (MAC, Sephora, etc.)
