- I'm back with another full face of one brand makeup tutorial! This time I'm using MAC Cosmetics, because it was highly requested! MAC seems to be making a bit of a comeback lately! I'm seeing more and more younger beauty influencers using and speaking about the brand over on Instagram and Tiktok. Like many of you, I've been using MAC cosmetics since the early 90's! During this makeup tutorial we are going to chat about some fun, light-hearted subjects like heart-throbs and supermodels of the 80's and 90's! Risa is beautiful inside and out! I agree @Sunchild_26 ! I've loved MAC ever since it was available in my mall back home. My first purchases were Brave lipstick and Opal lipglass. In the '90s I became obsessed with the fluidline pressed gel liners. When my son was playing football (3rd grade through 11th grade), he would borrow my Blacktrack fluidline to swatch under his eyes to deflect the lights for night games, lol.

MAC started out Canadian but I believe Estee Lauder bought them. I have just gone back to the store in my local shopping centre and am really enjoying the primer and blush I just bought. Also am loving the TEDDY eyeliner.

I was a teen in the 80’s and I too LOVED Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy. Favorite movies were 16 candles(OMG Jake!!), St Elmo’s Fire(the whole brat pack) & Pretty in Pink(Andrew McCarthy & James Spader both)❤️🔥❤️🔥such a fun video!

So for me it was Richard Gere in “An Officer and a Gentleman”. Although to be fair it was released in the 80’s. Mac was my first love and the brand that I have continued to love through the years. I don’t think it gets enough credit these days. So grateful to you for sharing this video with your viewers. Risa you are so beautiful and your nose is not botched IMO. I would never have noticed if you had not mentioned having a deviated septum. Rude people suck and it says something about their character.

Me too! Risa has really helped me with her oily skin information. I am 60, with super oily skin. I felt like a freak because every 'mature' skin youtuber talks about dry skin only. And Dr. Dray's dermatologist videos have really improved my skin care game, so I am lookin good these days. Thanks Beautiful Risa.
I’m 32 and have hooded eyes and very oily skin as well, and I love that Risa’s advice can be useful for such a wide age range!
I use MAC since the 90ties. I used to work as a model and later in music PR. Backstage MAC was used exclusivly because of shade range, eyeshadow colours and textures. Nowadays I use the sculpting palette and the concealer palette. Those complexion products never let me down. For my wedding make up I used face&body, the only foundation I ever owned. And when I am in the mood for colourful eyeshadow I purchase MAC singles. I love their range.

My teen heart throb was Tom Cruise, before we know about the crop that he's all about.
My favorite movie of all time though is 16 candles. I've watched it so many times, that I can recite every single line from the movie. It drives my family crazy. Lol.
Tom Cruise is STILL hot, and I may I add now has the highest grossing film, surpassing Titanic. Not sure what you meant by "what he's all about" but I own all of his movies, he's one of the greats.

He just burned me out with 'all that'. So now I can't watch his movies. But he's still killing it at the box office, so lots of other people still love him!

I had a HUGE crush on Keifer Sutherland - a telling sign for my penchant for older men 😆. My friends thought I was weird but I thought he was HOT. I also got to meet him when I was in grade 8 - him, Emilio Estevez and, Lou Diamond Phillips. I got his autograph and was so impressed he knew how to spell my name.
Claudia Schiffer was my favorite and Stephanie Seymour. I remember getting the Victoria's Secret catalogs and she was I think their #1 model at the time. Love this video! Does anyone else find watching makeup videos so relaxing? I have always loved MAC. I remember when "Spice" lip liner came out and it was all the rage. The color never worked for me, but "Whirl" has always been in my makeup arsenal for years.
This is so funny, the other day my husband and I had a good laugh at an old Teen Beat magazine I had from the 80’s! Oh and I loved Duran Duran too, especially John!!

I loved Linda Evangelista! I always remember her in George Michael's "Too Funky" music video! Ugh I loved that music video so much! I don't use anything MAC, never did. I may explore some things after seeing this video.

MAC was my dream makeup in college. I wore Clinique when my mom could afford it, but I loved going to the mall and watching the artists at work. I own many of their lipsticks now and 2 z packs of eyeshadows. My favorite color remains Mythology. And who could forget about the lovely Cindy Crawford? Thanks for bringing me down memory lane. I had commented to you several months ago that the MAC Studio Fix Foundation didn't work for me. I tried I again with a different primer, and it looked flawless. I am a MAC fan because of you and a friend of mine who was a MAC makeup artist at a department store. Thank you for your detailed tutorials!!

I just wanted to thank you for your channel. I too have oily skin even though I'm 68 years old. My skin has never been dry. I good to hear info about products for oily skin. But I do have brown hair and I'm fair. I loved the 80's, especially the music!

Okay, I feel the need the comment on this, I'm at the part of the video where you're talking about your nose. I'm disgusted with the people who feel the need to point out any little imperfection on people's faces. I have never noticed anything "wrong" with your face but instead thought omg, how is this woman in her 40s. Risa, you're absolutely stunning and I really hope you don't take those negative comments to heart. I can understand how things like that affect people. I remember in school hearing rumblings of being called Pinocchio. I also had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty and then a revision as I was left with bumps on my nose. I've now just learned to live with good enough. I definitely feel more confident than I used to but will still always have that little insecurity in the back of my mind. I understand yours is for breathing purposes so that makes sense but I just had to say that you're beautiful and I hope you know and feel that way! Thanks for the great video! ❤️💕 Ps I was born in the 80s and was definitely a Leo girl (Romeo and Juliette) and definitely agree with Rob Lowe lol. So perfect with the fabulous dress! Loved the chat. I was obsessed with all the same men you mentioned. I hope you have seen Vince Vaugh's 1996 movie 'Swingers'! He's on a road trip to Vegas with his buddy who can't get a date. My next favorite movie of his is 'Dodgeball' !!!! He is such an underrated actor. He can do anything, plus gorgeous. And all the 90's supermodels imprinted on me. I haven't been obsessed with any models after that era. Linda Evangilista. Her short hair. Her dramatic poses. Haha, it’s so funny to look back at those celeb crushes from my very early teens! 😂 My 1980s heartthrobs were Robert Downey Jr., Tom Cruise, Richard Grieco, Jordan Knight (from NKOTB), and Dirk Benedict. The only one that I still consider a “heart throb” is Robert Downey Jr. My fave supermodel was Linda Evangelista.

I walked into Henri Bendel on 57th St in NY in 1990 and was very pregnant with my first child and feeling crummy. I saw this huge line that I had no idea what is was for but I joined it and it was the MAC counter. I still have the original makeup brushes that are no longer sold that have real hair and still wear Chili Matte lipstick which I still love. And btw, I had the short cropped Linda Evangelista haircut. Those were the days! I loved this video Risa, you are the best! Thank you

Great chatty video today! I am 62 years old & loved hair bands, (still do!) The long hair on the guys was so cool! I saw Journey in concert 2x in the late 80's & Steve Perry's hair...beautiful & his voice! I also had a crush on Kip Winger. Legends of the Fall was an excellent movie that takes your emotions on a roller coaster ride..a must see. Take care Risa!

I was a young teen in the 90s. So I was in love with Jonathan Brandas, Rider Strong, JTT, Zachery Ty Bryan, Hanson, NKOTB, NSync… I certainly loved Cindy Crawford. I wish more models were like that today. Not so stick figure. This was fun!
Hi dear Risa, I loved your videos! Specially this ones. I just found MAC makeup products, with which I started my makeup kit and I remembered how wonderful they are. I still use the concealer, the foundation and the prep & prime Sprays. I loved Rob Lowe too, when I was young he had a giant poster in my room. You are great Risa, don't listen to insensitive people.
I still love my MAC single shadows!
As someone with sparser lashes, I also like mascaras after they dry out a tiny bit. If they’re brand new and really wet, the formula just goes right between my lashes and onto my skin. It’s a sweet spot for sure because too dry and it doesn’t work at all. My HG mascara is Glossier’s mascara because it’s not super wet when it’s brand new and the brush isn’t giant and fluffy so it won’t push through my skinny lashes. Thanks for the all MAC tutorial. I’ve missed these products!
Risa , your nose is fine. I must tell you I had my nose fixed then as well. They didn’t know what they know now. My nostril on my left side collapsed. Turns out if you have medical insurance, which I did. Insurance covers the fix. I found a ent that also was a cosmetic person in AZ at the time. So I had it done and now my nose and breathing is a million times better , if that helps you. It can be fixed by insurance because of breathing issues. I was so happy . Love this MAC makeup on you . Going to try the foundation and a lot of what you showed .
Soft and gentle introduced me to highlighters , since 2006 i have purchased this product 5 times , i cheated once when Amrezy came out with her own ABH highlighter !!! But still rocking soft and gentle almost every time i do my makeup
Thank you, I got my first Mac goodies in Ireland when I visited my daughter there in 2011. I still have it. We are from South Africa, my husband is Hungarian. She came back home soon after me visiting her.She was 42 and passed away late last year from breast cancer which had spread to her liver, lungs and bones. She was the most kind.gentle, loving, giving person. Beautiful inside and out.Those goodies remind me if our time together there. You have inspired me to go back down memory lane and give Mac a fresh look at.
Would love to see a Mac foundation vs Estee!! Estee lauder has been my holy grail foundation for years! I use to go back and forth between Lancome and Estee Lauder, and Lancome started looking horrible on me!! I haven't use Lancolm in years!! Love all your videos!!

Love this video! My favorite Supermodel was Helena Christensen. I loved her “exotic” olive skin & light eyes. But also- Elle “The Body” Macpherson and Cindy Crawford, of course! As for heartthrobs: Rob Lowe and Brad Pitt: yes, yes, Yes!!! I had an enormous poster of Rob Lowe from Saint Elmo‘s Fire, holding his saxophone, up on my wall throughout the 80s. I definitely had a thing for the pretty boys. Kirk Cameron was not my thing but Ricky Schroeder was definitely an early crush- his NY accent was too adorable. Do you remember Silver Spoons? Jason Bateman was on there too, he was hilarious even then!

Kip Winger was and still is my obsession all these years later. He was SIZZLING hot, both of my daughters think Kip was hot and still think he's very nice looking. We've met him several times, musical genius and the absolute sweetest! Winger is still touring, sold out shows, sounds as good as ever! Most of the hair metal bands are all touring again.

The 24hr extended eye base by MAC is the BEST eyeshadow primer ever. I’m like you, I can’t use the paint pots because my lids are also so oily but that extended eye base is AMAZING

I love Estée Lauder Double Wear, so I would love for you to do the comparison video of those two foundations, Mac and Estée Lauder. I have never tried the Mac so I’m very intrigued. I used to love It cc cream but it tends to slide around on me and doesn’t wear on long days so I actually mix a little bit of it with my double wear. The combination is really good.
Now that I take better care of my skin and have a Skin care routine, my face is more hydrated and I have more of an oily T-zone, so that it cc cream slides around. I am 55. I love you and think you are beautiful, honest, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I had same experience w botched nose job in 1989. Then got a septoplasty (cartilage from my ear) in 2016. Doc rebuilt my nose. Is fantastic. Plus I can breathe again.

I remember years ago when MAC would have a new launch coming out it. It was such a huge deal! They were always beautiful. It is sad that MAC has kinda fallen off the radar. Their latest launches have been so blah. I feel they missed some big chances ie Sims and stranger things.
