I just bought one in Oregon where I've been staying the last few months and I love it. It's way better than any Porsche I've ever owned in every way. Better than 1985 and 1991 911, yes way better. Better than 2006 Cayman S, yes way better. This car is incredible. Long live the 2.5! Happy 25 bday Boxster! Way better than than a $100k base vette, that I may have got, but the jerks marked it'd up $30k. And as a bonus it's got a lockable glove box and a great alarm so if I ever store any classified docs, they won't just be sitting around by my crappy vette. And maybe the next POTUS will care more about helping people keep their homes instead of bailing out crappy car companies and garbage business people and I'll get my house back instead of living in my Porsche.
The 718 sounds like the older 993 air-cooled cars with after market exhaust. It’ s a nice throaty growl. If you don’t know that you haven’t done much research on this. It sounds like a Porsche...period. The only people who seem to complain about the sound are the ones who bought or desired the old Cayman because they couldn’t afford the 911. It is further removed from the 911. I am happy with the new changes and the differentiation with the 911 line. It’s it’s own car. If you can’t live with that you need to buy something else and stop whining online...LOL.
You've never heard a 930 probably but it reminds me of that sound, has a similar whine especially at higher rpm, about the same hp as the original 930 with 3 extra gears, and no snap oversteer thankfully!
Agreed m8. The cost of the boxster has been atrocious for some time now. I can buy a grandsport C7 for 40 thousands USD cheaper with much more performance.
You find the power seats and the auto box the mist important features and not the horrible sounding engine. You sound like a 911 targa guy. Get a GT and forget the mid engine roadster.
718 Boxster S, Leipzig Germany, 2017; 242 laps on Nurburgring. no brake fade, no problems; fantastic car.

Sounds like you voted for Don the Con, soon to be CONVICTED.
Change to clear led marker lights is a must. Only $120 for both left and right
The cupholders. You’re not supposed to put A BOTTLE in them. ;)
However, the engine note on these put me off bigtime.
My dream car....
Is 3.9 0-60 plenty fast for a..BIG car? lol
You can hold a conversation top down at 75mph
Awesome car and solid review.
Is it reliable?
Turf Surf Porsche 2nd only to Lexus as most reliable source: JD power
One day I will be able to afford it
Ameen.
@@muhammadeesaalaher6481 JazakaAllah my brother ❤
That engine note is just bad. Fantastic everything else. Wish they kept the flat 6. For that price, absolutely not.
It’s a far better and more powerful engine than the six, it has power everywhere.

I prefer gt4 !
tiny roadster??? lol, compared to what the 500SL, or vettes? What the hec? Ever heard of a 4C or miata?
Steven Sturgill the 4C isn’t practical at all, and you could get 3 mitas for the price of the gts they’re just no comparable
Gregory Hale I think you missed my point. I was only responding to the video review host who commented that the Boxster is a tiny roadster. Nuff said.
91k i would buy hellcat z06

But then you only have a C7...
It's white; what an imagination!!
