Best video yet. This was so cool. Also, for a guy that complains loudly and doesn't care for manual labor, you showed your true colors: humble, patient and tough. Keep going.
Absolutely loved this video, big respect to you for trying out and getting fully involved in the Nepalese lifestyle and culture; they're very hardworking, humble people! 😊 Favourite video of yours yet! 👏
This is the best video I've seen from you yet, Ben. They make that work look so easy. I loved how you got right in it and showed us westerners what it'd be like for us to do this kind of labor. They were so friendly. It made me want to visit. Awesome job on this one!
You have inspired me to try and pursue my own back packing journey, I’ve just left school and finished my a levels and I’m going to just crack on as soon as possible mate, I’m gonna take my go pro camera across Europe and North Africa and possibly even to Iraq after seeing your video there, hopefully I can create stories as interesting as yours. Thank you for putting this content out Ben!
@ 10:54 when Ben opens the door to the hotel room, the sun shines across the mountains and the rooster lets out his call. What a spectacular view to start off the day! 🇳🇵☀️🐓🌄
Ben I think this is my favorite video of your's. Good job not giving up! I really appreciate how you immersed yourself in to the work. It really showed how hard they work every day to live. Thank you 😊👍!
My hats off to you Ben for having the guts to trying the Nepalese villagers life style😂 its tough mate😂 but a very healthy life style indeed. Much love❤ to the people of Nepal👏👍
Thank you for doing the Real Life Cultural experience… such eyes opening ( i am not tough enough to do any of it even when the opportunity arises ). I wish they would use a bigger digging tool, why so small anyway? Ben, you are a GREAT content creator! Thanks ❤
The dishwasher soap flavor could cilantro/corriander since many people think the herb resembles soap flavor. I used to hate cilantro and after years of trying to like it, finally I do! You can change your palate.
Loved this video. Napal is definitely on my bucket list. Ben you have surpassed a lot of the other youtubers out there. Definitely in my top 3 out of 50+ subscriptions
Ben, so glad this video was more than 30 minutes. It could have been 2 hours and I would watch. Fascinating. And that slip on the boulder was epic. Crack on!
This place reminds of Mizoram, India too where I stayed for some time. Nepali people also like to stay in Mizoram also. They carry the baskets in Mizoram too traditionally and farm similarly. I love this simple style of life, seems rewarding but hard work. Instead of going to the expat communities for remote work, nice to go to these places, sometimes they do have alright Wifi.
Best video yet Ben! Just playing catch up on videos due to being in hospital but that was amazing. Nepal looks a great country. Keep up the great content 👏
Fantastic video. The people in the village seem wonderful. Such great vibes. Love the plowing with the 2 buffalo. The last buffalo you milked was flicking her ears and looking like she was saying thank you. Beautiful animals. Well done Ben.
@@BackpackerBen great vid Ben. What an insight into how our ancestors lived and worked. Imagine living like this in England mate. That’s how 95% of people did until a few hundred years ago.
Mate if you ever come back to the Philippines you can rent a motorbike and have a road trip to Baler on the north of Luzon. I've heard in one of you Q and A that you used to surf a lot, well, Baler is the birthplace of Philippine surfing. the roads are fully cemented so you won't struggle like this and there are a lot of zigzag roads and cliffs and the scenery is just insane. it's a must do when you're in the Philippines.
Love your videos from Australia , I grow up in rural Nepal as well and used to go Jungle every morning before school. Even though it was bit hard but also enjoyed.
that orange sauce is for momo .. you get another tomato pickel which is more likely to go with the rice . yogurt is to clense your tounge after the meal so eat it at last not with rice . you get another 2 -3 items in normal running thakali .. soo better get your thali from place where there are more customer .
🌴🌴🌴 WOW I just realized that I’ve been binge watching a ton of your videos for the last several days and I haven’t gotten bored at all. Cheer’s, Carlos
Thank you visiting for our beautiful country nepal❤❤ Great opportunity to know and learn Nepalese working styles, about culture ,food .people of nepal are so kind humble and helpful .😊😊
@17:18 I especially liked the panic that overcame the workers, when you were about to destroy hours of sharping efforts of the sickle with a single stroke of the sharp edge against the piece of rock.
You're so young seeing the world and making a lifetime memory for you and us to enjoy, well done just for that, It's always been my dream being a travel youtuber but so afraid to start and even when I go abroad I suck at doing anything interesting.
I'd be asking how far away the hospital is doing all that work at that altitude.. good on you for doing all that Ben and awesome Nepalese hosts! Awesome video!
Great one Ben, really reminds one to be grateful for some things we take for granted. On another note though, why not walk the goats up to the leaves to eat!? Then put baskets on the goats to carry leaves back down for later too? And those leaf baskets... no shoulder straps? Just ALL NECK? Wouldn't shoulder + head spread the load better? You are a trooper carrying that thing 30 minutes down to the village. They should just harness up the goats with baskets they are great pack animals, I mean think about it... the goats get to laze around while the humans bring leaves from 30 minutes away! Something isn't right with that picture!
The digging part was exactly like any archaeological excavation - the students struggle and get exhausted plus sunburned while the locals hired for work are doing the heavy stuff, including the 15 years old kids who carry stones while having fun, women who handle the pickaxe better than any city man etc
thank you to Kabi once again for hosting me in his village, the people of Nepal are the best. 💛
You did a good job on the field
The audio is out of sync with the video when I watch this on Android TV. It's fine on my PC though.
Awesome video mate ❤ but I’m also getting the sound sync issue on my TV
Audio defo out !
FVCK i try to watch but can't the audio is out Sync .,......why Ben whyyyyyyy???
That village is literally the best place I've been to in Nepal. Kabi is the world's number one guide!
Agreed mate! Thanks for recommending this to me
What is its name ? I didn't catch it in the introduction ? 👍
Waiting for your videos too, brother.

I teared up a bit when Ben said goodbye to the father. What a wholesome video, I loved every second of it.
I don't think Ben is cut out for hard labor but what a trooper for staying the course and doing the job. Great video.

Great job Ben!! Always noble to help the locals!
That dish soap flavor is the rose water used for flavoring. Us in the west use rose water as the main scent in our soap

This may be your best ever video. Your RUclips channel is the best channel I’ve come across; everything is so original and you’re you in the videos.

@22:55 It is probably easier to carry the goats uphill for feeding, than to carry down 100 kg of green leaves downhill for them...
What an experience Ben you surprise us all the time great video
