- I got the local bus from Kathmandu to the city of Pokhara in Nepal however it was perhaps the worst bus journey I have ever been on! 9 hours of absolute hell in scorching heat and crammed in with 15 other locals. An experience I would never want to do again!

I’m currently going back and watching all of Ben’s videos….if you get a chance my favorite on this channel is Vietnam with Timmy K and Bald. So many to like on here! Also, the ones with Kat are a favorite too!
Kurt copied Harold to a tee, especially in his start. "Am I filming" was literally word for word copying. I lost respect right off the bat. Men love him though. I guess they need someone to look up to, which is sad since it's a fake personality on their screen . Is this just American men who put these characters on a pedestal?

Been there, done that journey, probably 20 times or more. First time was in 1982 and most recently just 2 months ago. I quickly learned never take a local bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara - it may be cheap but avoid it unless you're a masochist. The regular tourist bus is great - again it may take 9 hours but I still really enjoy it. 🙂

It's to remove the dust on the packet 😅😂. Sadly shops besides roads and highways are really dusty in Nepal.

I did that journey on a big bus in 1991, there was a landslide on the way and the road got blocked for hours while they dug it out

Brother don't miss visiting Bhaktapur and patan when you come back to kathmandu. Bhaktapur is 13 km east from Kathmandu and patan is 5-6 km south from kathmandu. Bhaktapur is a bit peaceful than kathmandu and patan.
Bhaktapur is considered a living museum. Love the vibe. Love the local newah culture. Reminds me of my childhood.

Went there in 1992. Standard of accommodation has improved a great deal. Roads look better than I recall them. You had it easy mate !

Mr Ben, Please inspect the bus first, decide whether you wish to travel in that bus or in a better bus, select the seat and then purchase the ticket. Google shows fantastic air condition buses between Kathmandu and Pokhara. This bus journey was perhaps worse than your Amazon river boat rides in in South America. Happy that after such a ride you are in a good hotel serving nice meal

Pokhara is really really beautiful place. It is my favourite. People their are so sweet, kind and helpful.
Nepal road conditions worst in the world. I live in Kathmandu so, I rarely traveI, I get sick whenever I travel. It's hard even for some us Nepali. Nepal is still safe country, their are alot of things u can do in pokhara. Literally the best. For place suggestion visit gandruk, chitlang, (mustang if possible it's like heaven).. Road conditions are worst so, better travel by plane

I find myself dragged from the depths of despair, overcoming the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, singing in the rain - how come, just comparing my lot with Ben’ experience.
I went to Nepal in 1988 and took the bus for eight hours then camped on a hillside befor3e treking for 10 days on a small group trip. LOL it looks like they never stopped working on the road. We saw where a bus went over the side and a thousand or so feet down into a revine on the way. I guess some things never change!

Those are the kind of journey I love to go on. So many beautiful things to see on the way. Especially if you are driving by yourself.
Yes, the things these youtubers do for putting a show on youtube. There are luxurious buses with Ac, nice folding seats , alot more leg space providing services from Kathmandu to Pokhara with lil bit more money of about Rs 1500. But he chose the worst vehicle pissible.🤷 Thanks for showing that Nepal has worst transportation services.

Should've gone in bigger bus. Whenever I travel to these road I always make sure bus the has functioning AC. It's just 1 or 2 hundred more.
Yeah those vechicles sucks while travelling for long journey. A proper bus is more better option, you can look into the tourist bus while traveling back because those are much better options if you travel by bus instead of the plane but the video was very fun to watch haha.

I've driven from India to Nepal and oh god those roads that you experienced, I can't blame you for being exhausted. I was exhausted in my own car travelling from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Those were the worst roads I've ever witnessed. Period.
Should have booked for big bus which obviously has a bit big leg room compared to this micro bus 😂😂
